Cello: From the time she was young, Melody seemed to have a penchant for music. It started with a preference for classical music that slowly grew into wanting to play a musical instrument and a promise to stick to it. How could her parents say no, when music seemed to be calling to her? After testing several instruments she chose the cello, liking the sound it made. Taking to it quickly what surprised people most was the sound she produced.

Every note she played, every sound created with each passing of the bow, sounded as if she was pulling the music from her very soul. Not even classical pieces that had taken her months to learn are safe. Her emotions seem to influence the music as well. When she's happy the sound is peaceful and warm, when she's sad the music is enough to make a grown man cry. Indifference makes the music cold and unfeeling and anger produces a noise that grates the ears and causes pain.

Ten years later she's keeping that promise, practicing away at the large spruce and willow stringed instrument when she isn't on patrol or searching for a job.

And while she adores playing classical pieces, any and all that she can get her hands on, Melody likes to make her own pieces as well. She has several hidden away in a trapper keeper that she's written during very emotional times in her life. So far no one has yet to see the sheet music.

Running: A habit that she picked up in college, it soon became a hobby of sorts. A run first thing in the morning, a run at night while she's on patrol, Melody has found a love for the wind against her skin and in her hair. Even more so when she can power up and her speed is improved.

It makes for a great stress relief and has given her quite the leg muscles, it'll come in handy should she ever find a battle she needs to run from.

Aikido: A happy accident that, again, happened in college. Perhaps it was the senshi part of her she had locked away reaching for a way to protect herself, it seemed like the perfect martial art for such a pacifist. The perfect balance of self-defense and protecting the one attacking.

In college she took classes every day she could, even for just an hour if she had to, she had a lot to learn in the last year she would be the area. Now she takes classes three days a week at a place she managed to find in Destiny City to keep up with lessons. Her goal is to, eventually, go up through kyu but isn't sure if she'll go through dan.


Virtues:

Compassion: While she may not know every one, or be known by everyone, her compassion for others is widely known. Always one for helping others she becomes a friend when others need one. She will listen when ears are needed, forgive mistakes when no one else will, Melody just seems to understand the situation and helps in any way she can. Even if it's just by giving you kind words or a shoulder to cry on.

Gentleness: Not one for the harshness of the world around her, everything she does is soft and gentle. From the way she holds her books, to the way she speaks and even how she treats others, she is gentle and caring. She'll not raise her voice and will try to talk things out verbally.

Pacifism: All life is precious and Melody's goal is to protect it all. Even those who would kill others. Stemming from her gentle nature, she would much rather find a peaceful resolution through talk and mediation then to have to resort to fighting. Especially with so much of it going on as it is.

She has come to terms with the fact that in order to achieve peace there must be war, even if she doesn't like it. She just has to find a way to show the world the best way to achieve that peace.

Flaws:

Idealism: What first seems as only child-like innocence is simply Melody choosing to see the world through rose-tinted glasses. While she understands violence happens, she refuses to believe that people could be so willing to do such a thing and that there must be a reason. There are no such thing as bad cops or evil, it's all just misunderstandings and all that is needed is to show these misunderstood people some compassion.

Determined: Melody has become bull headed in her returned to senshidom and it's bleeding into her every day life. She's set herself on a path and she's determined to get there no matter the cost. She refuses to let any one sway her from her decisions and that is that. And while she may not raise her voice, she definitely isn't afraid to argue her points.
She definitely refuses outright to believe that the world is inherently evil and that nothing she does can change it. She might even "fight" to defend her views, no matter the side the person is on.

Self-sacrificing: There's a need to protect everyone and everything, no matter how insignificant or evil they may be. In her mind no one is more important than anyone else and everyone deserves a chance to live. And, in her mind, she will do whatever she can to make sure that happens.
Even if the cost could become her life.

Attack #2: Sakura Storm!

Cupping her hands, Lacrimosa creates a handful of small, [somei yoshin] pure white, cherry blossoms, then raises them to her lips. Blowing against them, the flowers fly off towards the opponent, fluttering and dividing into a rain of separate petals, slowly tinging pink along the way. This time, however, the flurry of blossoms is much thicker. The sweet, delicate scent of cherry blossoms can become overpowering if the attack makes contact, which distracts the target from avoiding the rest of the petals. The attack lasts up to thirty seconds before they whither away, taking the scent with it.

Pros: Impedes the enemy's movement and distracts with a flurry of tiny pink petals swirling around them. The time around the pleasant scent can distract them if the attack hits and prevents the target from avoiding the rest of the attack. The petals are easily flammable and can be prevented by fire from even reaching their target in the first place.
Cons: Lasts half a minute, is easily dodged. Can be burned or knocked off. The transition from white flower into pink is a small drain of her own energy, however minute. It depends on the closeness of the enemy on how much the drain is. The darker the pink, now a darker "pepto-bismol" shade leaves her vulnerable for a couple minutes herself as her energy rebuilds from the assault.


Rewrite/Minor Revision:

Super Senshi Attack: Sakura Storm

Attack lasts 20 seconds in a five foot cone before her. Can be used three/two? times per battle *with a 30 second delay between each as the transition from white to pink in color is a drain on her energy.*

The civilian revisions look great to me! Her powered side also looks great, but because you had some questions, I wanted to just say about her Super attack, I think it would be fine to have this have three uses! It does not need a cooldown between uses, though!
