Gwen got together her notebooks, her pens, and a bag of treasures she had gotten from the festival. So was willing to give them all to Anara if she would help her to meet other mutant freshlings, so Gwen could talk to them and record, the different mutations that had occurred. It was now Gwen's dream to one day discover what had caused the mutation gene, not to fix it. No Gwen just wanted to know what it was, for the sake of science. Gwen saw nothing wrong with Anara, perhaps she was shy, but that was ok with Gwen. After all Anara was more worried about Gwen stealing her treasures or tattling then on her to a teacher or something. Never Gwen had her own issues, she had not right to judge what Anara did as wrong. So she went into the common room, with the treasures and her notebook stuff to start her investigation.

Gwen waited in the common room for Anara to show up. She waited for a while to the point where she wondered if Anara would show up. Gwen would have been disappointed, but she would not hound the girl, if she was really uncomfortable about this. Then when Anara arrived, Gwen looked up from her notebook and her bag of treasures. Then calmly went over to her, "I know you are not comfortable with this, I hope some of these things, will help build trust between us. Perhaps you would still like to teach me to steal?? So you know I won't tattle on you??" Gwen whispered the last part in case someone might be listening.

Gwen nodded "If it makes you uncomfortable, then we do not have to do it Anara, I am merely trying to find a way to gain your trust, if you do not wish to be paid or teach me your talent. Then please tell me what it is your can see with your eyes?? Does your hair feel different than my hair??" Gwen asked looking at Anara's mutations, "You do realize you are special correct?? This is not a bad thing." Gwen nodded firmly. She wasn't trying to make her feel better emotion wise, more Gwen was stating a fact she knew with scientific certainty. There was nothing wrong with the mutants, to say there was, would be like saying someone should fix the bodily make up of Litches, or make a Imp not fluffy it was madness.

Gwen nodded calmly "That is fine, it is your choice in the one case, and my choice in the other in a way, I offered." Gwen shrugged "Science is my subject, sneaking and stealing, I doubt I would be very good at, since my senses are not as good as some." Gwen didn't struggle from Anara's grip as she felt their different hair types. Gwen stood as well and spoke as strongly as she could, which still was loud, but in a confident tone she said. "You are not a freak Anara, I wish to study you and others like you, because I don't know any science books with information about mutants. You new special, it's something to be proud of. Do you think because I'm a litch and I am subject to the rot and losing of my senses I'm a freak?? Do you think that the many creatures that have tails we do not are freaks?? There are books on every races anatomy, but mutants seem to be different in some ways, take your eyes for example?? What if some day another mutant is born with eyes like yours and there is a problem with them, like they are color blind?? Is that normal for your mutation?? Or is it another mutation on top of what you can see with your eyes?? Your hair?? Is it like the material on a geists arms and legs, will you be harmed if someone tried to cut it?? What is it's connection to your body?? These are the questions I want to answer to make life better and safer for mutants. Also imagine if I could uncover all the mystery of mutants. Dissolve any fear there might be connected to mutants. Perhaps then you will be able to see how wonderful you are Anara, you appeared in my life and I was inspired to study mutants. You are my reason to truly focus on science, don't you see that?? You mean the world to me Anara." Gwen blushed and looked away, she had never spoken so much, or so boldly and wasn't sure if she would ever be able to spark herself to speak like this again. It was a lot for Gwen, a lot more than she was used to feeling, thinking.

Gwen frowned "Perhaps I don't know what it's like to be a mutant, but my race is full of logical beings, why then if I am a normal litch do I not have a family??" Gwen held her arms out and spun around. "I am a plain full litch, nothing fascinating or special like you, with your beautiful hair and amazing eyes. Perhaps neither of our parentals had a choice, perhaps both our families were killed in the wars, we have no way to know Anara please let these thoughts go. Otherwise, we can be sad together, for I will not abandon you, and I will prove your kind special and wonderful as I know you are." Gwen frowned when she realized Anara had a memory of her parents, whereas Gwen did not. "Then they were fools who could not see your beauty." Gwen stomped her foot "Stop saying you're a freak." Gwen went to Anara and grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently. "Please Anara, please believe me. If you will not I will simply continue my quest to find proof you are mistaken." Gwen shook her head "If others think you are not amazing I will write a million books that say otherwise, I will use science to prove mutants are not freaks at all."

Gwen nodded her understanding and then said "I will prove to you, you're special and loved Anara. It's ok if you don't believe me now, but I will strive to prove this to you, even if it takes forever. Nothing anyone else says or has done to you matters." Gwen blushed "I think you are very pretty and maybe it is silly of me to think it is because you are a mutant and I am plain and dull being merely a litch.." Gwen said softly showing her own doubt in herself. She saw all these amazing mutants and wished she was amazing like them. She didn't understand why Anara couldn't see how wonderful she was.
