The text went out in the evening, and Horace hoped that both would come. He owed Oliver, too, but he figured Oliver might prefer something with a little more light. medigel Text to: Dawsonparkour to you, sir? wear comfy shoes & meet me in the town in 20? seussi Text to: Tommylet's get use outta your shoes meet me in town in 20? After a moment, he realized how vague that was and texted both men again with exactly where in town to meet him. It was a little past the places were hunters lived, but not so far out that it was teeming with shadowlings. The buildings here were dilapidated in places and yet, still standing. It was perfect and Horace had been out here before, trying to work off the thoughts that rolled around in his head.

He was a little hesitant to be honest. Parkour was for skinny guys in Europe who bounced for a living or something. But with Chris riding his a** not like that to work out and eat better, and given how often he kept himself on the move these days, he had lost some weight, so maybe he might be in better shape for this sort of thing than he thought.
In gym wear and yet another shark themed cap, he greeted Horace with a hearty wave, unaware that a third party would be witness to his fat a** wobbling around. "'Bout time, right? Nice n' cool out too, so hopefully I won' stink so much, heh."

Tommy could think of no better way to finish off his day, and though he had just ended a doubleshift helping out in the infirmary, and was running on very little by way of sleep, he felt absolutely no need to relax and kick his feet up. He would much rather put his feet in the kick a** shoes that Horace had gotten him for Christmas, and plant them on a few dilapidated stone walls, instead. the semblance of unity Text to Horace: I'll be there And twenty minutes later, he was there. At least, he was in the towns. He had no idea where he was supposed to actually meet his friend, which meant that, after a jog around looking, when he finally did find the other man, he was a few minutes late. "Hey!" He jogged up, with wave, and a pleased smile towards Dawson as well when he saw that he was hanging out as well. "Are you joining us?" He asked, with unbridled cheerful exuberance in his tone and in the brightness of his eyes. "I did not know that you shared an interest! Ah, it is such a beautiful evening." His gaze went upward as he began to bounce on the balls of his feet, rolling his shoulders. Clearly, he was full of energy and ready to go.

"It's never not a beautiful evening," Horace said dryly, but not humorlessly. "If y'all haven't met - Dawson, this is Tommy. Tommy this is Dawson." He stretched, popping his back incredibly loudly. "Honestly, I wanted you both here because I'm out of practice and I stop slacking so much if there's people around." He grinned. With a few commands to his watch, he pulled up the map of the island. A route was clearly marked out on it, but he ignored it in favor of looking at which houses had been cleared of shadowlings. Those were not something he would relish running into now. A few hums later and his watch went dark. "So basically, parkour is finding a nice route to your destination without worrying about pesky s**t like buildings and walls bein' in your way. You go over it. Think of it as obstacle course running." The explanation was mainly for Dawson, as Horace knew Tommy had done some of this before. "Get up enough momentum and you can fling yourself off of walls and stuff." He looked at Tommy and grinned. "Wanna give a demonstration?" "I am!" He shook Tommy's hand with a bright smile. "Think I seen ya around, nice t'meetcha."
He patiently sat through Horace's explanation. (Like he didn't know what parkour was or how awesome it looked in movies and how often he had imagined himself doing it and looking cool and stuff.) "Wait." Dawson's eyes tennis balled between them. Now he really had to not embarrass himself. At the same time, if it meant getting to learn from two teachers...

"We have met." Tommy grinned, though if Dawson had forgotten he wouldn't blame him, since it had been quite a long time ago and under stressful circumstances. "On my first mission." He supplied, in case that was in any way helpful. "Oh, so it was not just to see me all hot and sweaty? How disappointing." Tommy grinned wider, and winked at Horace, before sidling closer to have a look at the map that came up on the other man's watch, studying it only briefly before it blinked out. The call for a demonstration had Tommy's eyes brightening. "Ah, yes! Of course I am your willing slave---I mean, participant, prepared to do as you suggest." His gaze was already travelling around the near vicinity as he spoke, looking for something to demonstrate on. He knew he should keep it simple, basic, especially since this appeared to be Dawson's first time, but the part of him that housed his flair for dramatics was hard to suppress. So, when he found a crumbled down free standing brick wall just a little higher than his head, he ran towards it, gauged his distance, jumped, and grabbed a hold, using his momentum to swing his legs up, and then up higher, over his head, where he had intended to stay for a moment in a handstand before vaulting himself down towards the other side with a bend of his elbows and flex of his arms imagining himself twisting gracefully through the air and landing on his feet with ease on the other side. Except instead he just sort of lost his balance, so he came down quite a bit quicker and clumsier, and much less lackluster, than he had intended. Oh well. At least he still (barely) managed to land on his feet. He straightened up with a smile. "I think I may need to break these in a bit more." He called out, walking back around the wall to where the others could see him, before lifting a foot and pointing to his shoe. medigel he is stallion to all people

"Oooh, salve Tommy, what a nice ring to it." He chuckled. Horace watched as Tommy swung through the air and didn't splat, but wasn't as graceful as Horace had seen before. He walked over and clapped the man on the back. Looking around for a moment, he jumped up onto a small ledge and flipped off of it, right onto his a**. And then sat there, like he had totally meant to do it. Totally. "Ughhhh, I can't do this without momentum. You try, Dawson, but get a good running start."

Oh. Come to think of it....s**t. Almost comically, Dawson slapped himself. "My bad, man," he told Tommy quickly. "Been so long since that time, s**t..." And now that he did remember that face, he also remembered how awfully he had protected Tommy from the macabre mob. Totally helping his nervousness right now. He couldn't he rib Horace for literally falling on his a**, it was that bad.
"Welp."
He swallowed and backed up several more steps, eyeing the wall Tommy had used. Maybe it was a bit too high...But he was off running regardless, no time to wuss out now. Dawson hopped up and managed to grab the top, pushing himself over cleanly and landing on his feet on the other side.
It....wasn't exactly parkour, but at least he was fit enough to try it...?
"Uh, somethin' sorta kinda like that, right?"
The Semblance of Unity borrowing that 9 from above Seussi but since he's a newb I figured that'd be a good enough translation
