Hobbies: Four Wheeling ~ There is just something about being on a four wheeler that is both relaxing and invigorating at the same time. It started out as an activity when he was younger with his uncle but quickly grew to a favored one to do at any time. When given the chance at his job he picked the four wheeler over the jeep, though his excuse at the time had been it was easier to travel around a forest in then a jeep.
Guitar ~ While it is certainly not a physically active pastime, Rick enjoys the chance to kick back and play at the end of the day when he is winding down. A person can always tell what his mood is depending on what kind of song he is playing when he has his guitar in hand.
Virtues: Active ~ Richard is the type of person who is almost always on the go. From taking walks to shopping, from playing random spots he gets 'pulled' into by his co-workers to going to pay bills, he is going something. He can sit still when the circumstance requires it but afterwards he might go for a run or something to get rid of pent up energy.
Honest ~ He doesn't see a point in lying for no reason and being evasive is just as bad most of the time which means at times he is a little blunt as well. He would much rather tell the truth then and there then possibly trip up somewhere down the line and get into trouble. Not to say he wont lie though for the right(or wrong) reasons if there is an end goal such as for the Negaverse to farther along their energy gathering or such. It just means that normally he prefers to tell the truth.
Frugal ~ Since he grew up in a home where money was tight all the time, he has picked up the habit of being very, very careful with any money he has. He never buys brand name foods if he can help it, tends to shop at thrift stores for his clothes, and has a simple three room apartment with thrift store furniture for the most part. This all does work out for him as he had a nice chunk of money squirreled away for emergencies.
Flaws: Critical ~ He's critical on both himself and others, though he is slightly more so on others at times. He will look at actions and works and judge them based on his biased standards that even he can't life up to at times. While this means he is hopefully improving at what ever he is working on, it doesn't do well for his confidence. Also if he is in charge of someone he is being critical about he well tell them what he thinks to their face and expect them to change and work to his standard as opposed to being quite unless asked which he does with people he doesn't have any authority over. He tends to silently judge them.
Opportunistic ~ If he sees a good deal of some sort, Rick will jump into it with out considering the cost on the human aspect. He will weigh the costs to himself since he is doing it for his own benefit but he doesn't give much thought to others. It stems back from his childhood since his father hadn't taken an opportunity and it left the family on hard times for years and he refuses to make the same mistake.
Dogmatic ~ Once he has a set of beliefs that's it, it takes a miracle almost to change them. He will give entire lists of why his belief is true and such and such is wrong if it is asked of him as well as fight down opposing arguments. Getting him to believe in something that he has little or no opinion on however isn't the easiest since you have to convince him it is the truth.
