Archeaology - Sure, Karelma admits to having been slightly influenced by Indiana Jones when it came to deciding her field of study. However, that doesn't mean that she goes tromping into jungles, fist-fighting Nazis and tomb raiding. Karelma is a scientist and much as she'd love to see every artifact ever in a museum, she's also wise enough to know that this isn't possible. What Karelma does is study ancient peoples, ancient cultures. She wants to understand and better appreciate those who came before.
Star Wars - Hello friend. Do you like Star Wars? Karelma sure does. She owns every movie, most of the EU books and even bootlegged copies of the Christmas Special and it's little known sequel. Her den might even have a few random X-Wing models and lego sets scattered about. Star Wars has been a part of her life since she was small and was a way to connect with her father. Her dad might be gone now, but their shared love of the franchise means he hasn't completely disappeared. And with all these new movies and books coming out, Karelma's passion isn't likely to die out anytime soon.
Leatherwork - When Star Wars is a little too loud and busy to allow for proper relaxation of the mind and soul, Karelma turns to her leather-crafting table. There's something that is just so incredibly soothing about the smell of leather. And when she's soaking, sewing and hammering designs into what will end up as an exquisitely tooled belt, she feels like she's been recharged and made ready to dive back into whatever fray there might be.
