The Hokage Residence is a large mansion occupied by the Hokage during their reign, and is located close to both the Academy and Hokage Monument. It is also one of the largest buildings in Konohagakure, towering over most other buildings. There is also the kanji for "Fire" (火) painted on the roof of the building. It is filled with many forbidden scrolls, in which lie the secrets to many techniques. Built during the reign of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, the Hokage mansion was last occupied by Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, before it was destroyed by the Deva Path's large-scale Shinra Tensei during the invasion of Pain. It, like many of the other structures in the village was presumably reconstructed during the village's rebuilding.

┗ Several years after becoming Hokage, Zuko has demonstrated quite the leadership that has kept Konohagakure quite well and peaceful. No wars, less conflict, many many meetings, overseeing the younger generation and even managing his own time into training to keep up his strength. Life is truly well.
The Professor of all Shinobi, the Hokage, Zuko Matarashi, sitting down comfortably ontop of the Hokage Residence dead in the center undergoing some light meditation. It was a good day to get fresh air, which also meant Zuko didn't really feel like staying inside the office all day doing his normal paperwork and other stressful duties that came with the job. He let out a few deep breaths taking in the natural air, focusing his chakra in several points throughout his meditation session. He kept at this for hours, actually he started since morning. ┓

Shihou took her time heading over to the Hokage's office. With the current state of peace and gentle weather, Shihou spent her morning with her people. She was able to get in a nice morning workout, training with the future of the young future of the Uchiha, and getting a meal at one of the few shops in the Uchiha district. To think the Uchiha were once dwindled down to a single member, and to make such a resurgance, it was miraculous, and gave Shihou another thing to brag about. She made her way through the streets of Konoha, her Uchiha gunbai on her back and her Chokuto resting on her waist.
After several minutes of strolling through the village, Shihou finally arrived at the building, glancing at the kids heading into the academy building just beside the residence. The guards out front waved her through on sight considering who she was as she headed up to the office itself. Letting herself through the doors, Shihou looked around the office noticing the Hokage wasn't present. Shihou took it upon herself to sort through the mission files while he wasn't here, looking through who did what and when and filing them accordingly. For curiousity's sake, she looked through some of the open files to see if there were any that caught her eye, but for the most part they were fairly standard. Some other shinobi would need the money anyway. Setting the files down, Shihou took her seat in front of the desk, setting her gunbai down on her lap as she waited for the Hokage.

┗ Enjoying the day's breeze, the Kage suddenly felt a large amount of chakra honing in close. It was strong yet calm and familiar. It must've been her, and its a good thing the chakra was calm, meaning this person was not angry and searching for Zuko. He didn't really say all that much. He figured she would come find him or at least use her Sharingan to pinpoint his location. Zuko had already decided to use every moment of relaxation to meditate. ┓

After a few minutes of waiting, Shihou got up from her seat with her gunbai in hand. The hokage hadn't arrived yet, and Shihou wasn't about to go from room to room to find him, nor waste any chakra using her sharingan to find his chakra source either. She set her gunbai down by her seat and walked around the desk to the Hokage's computer to check the security cameras for his location. The only place they didn't put cameras, was the rooftop, which meant, he was either on the roof or somewhere out in the village. Shihou went over to grab her gunbai and mount it on her back before heading out through the window of the office to reach the Hokage. Walking up the walls to the roof, she found him meditating right in the center. She couldn't blame him for taking time off from doing paperwork, but she didn't really enjoy having to go fetch him. "Break's over. Its back to spreadsheets and status reports."

┗ Zuko's meditating time had finally ran its course. He knew when he started hearing the sounds of footsteps creep up closer and loud after each passing second. Though that didn't exactly stop Zuko from doing what he was doing. Nah, he planned to using every second literally.
The steps have reached its loudest when he finally heard a very familiar voice. It was exactly as who he thought it was. Shihou Uchiha. Zuko's right hand also known as the Hachiryu. She spoke up out loud to him, knowing he was in meditation. He exited his meditation not turned around to her. Can I get another hour? Those papers aren't going anywhere. I got several hours to get that done. Zuko stated trying to procrastinate. ┓

Shihou couldn't help but shake her head at the Hokage's attitude towards his work. Shifting through papers wasn't very exciting, but all it would create is a backlog of work that takes more time to complete as more gets piled on, which only makes taking a break seem all the more tempting, only to have more work to do in the future, something Shihou shouldn't even need to mention. "That would be highly irresponsible on both our parts. You create a self perpetuating backlog of paperwork which I have to help remedy. Then that costs me time, and cuts into both my training and my duties as the Uchiha head. Not to mention your meditation. Now quit wasting time and get up, there's work to be done, otherwise I'm taking the day off too."
Shihou crossed her arms and waited to see just how much Zuko liked the weather today. For now, all that could be heard is the sound of the civilians below, and the gentle rustling of the leaves nearby. It really is a nice day to slack off, but work is work.

┗ Zuko made a silly scowl as Shihou explained the importance of handling the paperwork now than putting it off. He wanted to rebuttal badly but the pure facts she spilled out totally got him quiet. Fine fine. I'll do it. Zuko stood up from the ground before patting some excess dust off of his clothing around his legs. Sometimes, you being right will come back to get you ahaha. Zuko looked out to the citizens before glancing to his hands. Well no time like the present I suppose, let's get to work. Plus there will be shinobi who will be begging for missions. Especially some of the energetic genin. Turning around to walking beside Shihou back into the office. How are the Uchiha doing lately? Hopefully me fixing the past's issue of separating them from the village has put everyone at ease, including your clan. Knowing from the history, one of the biggest mistakes being made was definitely seclusion, no matter who you are, being separated from others can bring a traumatic effect in the long run, in which was something Zuko definitely didn't want to do. That's just simply extra work for him. ┓

All it took was a stern talking to, and the Hokage was back to work. Even though it was paperwork mostly, the genin who do show up almost always bring some form of entertainment fthrough their requests for missions even their elite don't go on alone. It always broke up the dullness of sorting through files and such. Shihou let her hands fall down to her sides as they started to make their way back to the office, talking about the Uchiha in the progress. Shihou couldn't help but smile at the thought, all the progress they made and their current state, she was proud. "We've been the best we've ever been I think. From warring with the senju, to the tensions in the village and then the massacre, there has never really been any semblance of peace. But now that the wall between Konoha and the Uchiha district is gone, and the space between has been filled in with shops and housing, things finally feel normal. Thankfully, all the visitors we get are respectful of the landmarks as well, but I still make sure our genin and chunin take their turns guarding the Shrine, among other locations. Teaches them discipline, but I digress. I assume you've been doing fine outside of the office?"

┗ Zuko smiled to Shihou, truly happy that the Uchihas are certainly at peace with the village. It's good you provide the youngsters some duties like those, it teaches discipline and value. Especially with all that's left. He turned around to see the civilization in the distance. The wind brew once again, a calming breeze indeed. Those young Uchiha, and the rest of the youngsters who will grow up to be shinobi...they're our predecessors. It's best to nurture from a young age, so they can mold into fantastic leaders who will carry the Will of Fire like us. That's, really what the past Hokages believed...it's what they taught me. It's also something, I'll put my life on the line to protect and believe. He shook his head a bit, just remembering something important. Ah yes, the paperwork. Might as well head to that now, can't put off forever. His eyes widened to the question Shihou asked him. My life outside the office? Well I do a lot of meditation and just have time to myself so I suppose its fine. As long as everyone else is doing fine, then I'm quite alright. ┓

"My only worry is those few who gain the Mangekyo with no proper support system, otherwise we'll just stumble back down that dark path. But, that's why I'm here, to get us back to the top, and stay there." Shihou kept making her way to the office while he took a chance to gaze at the village and the city past the monument. Considering how far technology has come, she was a bit surprised he mostly just meditated on his own time. Shihou entered the office through the same window she came out of and returned to her seat, letting her gunbai lay on her lap. "I did my job sorting the mission files, so have fun." Shihou took this time to bring out her phone and sort her schedule, as well as double checking what needs to be done in the Uchiha district for later.
I couldn't think of a post for the last few days. Today was barely different

┗ Zuko paused at the stacks of paperwork he had to finish up on. It was ridiculous. Ha...? Have fun? With all that?! Someone is legitimately crazy right now. He walked over to his desk and sat in his chair going from paper to paper, signing whatever needed to be signed. He looked over seeing Shihou just mindly on her phone. I should just make you Kage so you can take this paperwork for me. He said in a sarcastic tone. He leaned back thinking about the process to gaining an Uchiha's true potential by unlocking the Mangekyo. Through sheer strong emotion over the lost of a loved one and the increased pressure on that part of the brain, does the Sharingan actually take form and develop into sure stronger levels. Yeah, it'll be much easier for someone to way over to the dark path of a shinobi. ┓

Shihou spent a few minutes swiping through things on her phone, checking emails and signing off on a few things that needed to be done in the district, chuckling when Zuko stated he should pass on the title of Hokage to her, just to avoid some paperwork. Shihou slid her phone back in her pocket and used her gunbai to help herself up from her seat, walling around the room to let the blood flow back through her legs as she let her gunbai lean on the chair she was sitting in. Shihou looked over at Zuko as he spoke about just how easy it was to follow a dark path after gaining the Mangekyo, and he wasn't wrong. Living the life of a shinobi, despite the relative state of peace, still comes with risks. More often then not someone will lose the ones they love to violence, and then that grief will morph into revenge and hatred. She thought back to when she unlocked hers. The cold, blank look on the face of her 'brother'. His cold skin on her fingertips, his blood trickling down her hands. Even after all these years, the memory was so clear it felt like being trapped in genjutsu. The pain she felt, caused by the betrayal of the ones she trusted. It could have been so easy, to succumb to that darkness and embrace that pain like countless others have. But she felt a sense of duty to the one she loved and the clan she swore to bring to the top with her, and walking down the path so many of her ancestors followed would have been a bigger betrayal than what she felt. Shihou got lost in her thoughts, shaking her head a bit. She turned her back to Zuko to dry her eyes a bit, last thing she wanted was for him to see her tearing up. It was a bit embarrassing. "That won't happen as long as I'm still here. I refuse to let them wallow in their sorrow alone."

┗ Upon his last stack he overheard a bit of chuckling from Shihou. He was silent for the most part, but he looked up to notice Shihou turn to do something. Whatever it was, she didn't want him to see. As long as you're still here? Well then that's good. Cause the Uchiha clan look up to you Shihou, you're setting the example that the younglings want to be apart of. So yes, as long as you're still here, we have nothing to worry about whatsoever. Glancing over however, yeesh, except for these papers! ┓

Shutout had finished drying her eyes, getting upset at herself for getting so emotional, especially in public. She turned back around, her eyes still a tinge pink, much to her chagrin. She smirked a bit hearing Zuko speak so highly of her, looking at the last stack he had left to do. It was encouraging hearing it from someone other than her ego about how valuable she was to the Uchiha. "Thank you Zuko. I just hope that you're not just saying that so I feel obligated to help you with that last stack of paperwork." She took a quick look at it, considering how quickly he finished up the rest and with her being here, they could finish that off and be done. Knowing that, she couldn't just let that time be wasted doing something that could have been finishd far quicker. Well, he was right about something atleast, that her being right was going to come back and get her. She scowled a bit before walking back to her seat and taking half of the stack and a pen to help, swearing under her breath as she started signing off on stuff.
