xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxthexx omenxx ofxx what xxisxx toxx come xxxxx _________ xxxxxthe infiltration of the church
The Apostles' Creed, Our Holy Father, Three Hail Marys, Glory Be, The Annunciation, and more. Every day. Several times a day. When waking, during meal, during prayer hours, during thoughts of sin. You clutch your rosary tightly to your chest and you pray. You pray for redemption, you pray for love, you pray for savior. You pray for the lord to deliver you from the demons. You pray for the holy sacrifice. You pray for the blood of the virgin.
Esther's life was spent in devout prayer and study. The passing of her parents didn't change that, it placed her in a world of even more pious faith. Not once did she doubt her dedication to God. Not even when they told her they needed to baptize her again. Not even when they insisted to cleanse her body each and every day. Not even when they brought up flagellation. This is what Esther's parents went through each day she was separated from them. This is what devout faith really was. At least, that's what they told Esther.
They did not tell her of the threat to the church. The true omen of demonic presence to come. The importance that she remain clean and untainted throughout, for they needed to protect her and every member from contamination. But even so, if evil wishes to come, it will find a way. A silent stalker that kisses the bosom of each and every individual night or day, rich or poor, and leaves no hand untainted with the blood of the devil. A demon would soon find its way into the holy virgin's life, and subsequently, her heart.

Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ "Esther," A low voice called. The young woman sucked in a breathe and stood from her corner, dusting herself off as she approached the door. She opened it to reveal and large woman donning her very same habit. "Yes, Mother?" Esther answered pleasantly, smiling. The nun cast amused eyes on the young woman, stepping aside from the doorway in order to allow Esther access. "The Father asks of your presence after supper. Remember your duties this evening in the garden, my dear." Esther nodded and bowed her head, answering as customary in the church. The two of them made their way to the dining room where all the other sisters joined them to a meal of bread and fish stew. They all initiated in prayer, with mother superior leading it. After their meal, they also prayed. This was when mother superior summoned Esther. The two women walked down a labyrinth of hallways until they came upon a an large enclosed space with stained glass windows, blood red burning candles, cherubic statues, and burning incense. They muttered a prayer to themselves as they entered. It was there the holy father was kneeling and praying. Hearing the footsteps of his guests, he finished his hail Mary and faced the two women.
"Thank you for escorting Esther, sister. You may be off to your duties. God be with you." The elderly woman nodded and left the room, leaving Esther alone with the man. This was a rare occurrence in the chapel. The holy father was the only man housed in these quarters, everyone else being older women - Esther was an exception. "Peace be with you, child. How are you this fine day?"
"And with your spirit, father. I'm well." She managed a kind smile. Esther had soft features, and indigo eyes that gave her gaze a solemn look. Her long hair was braided up into a customary bundle, wavy strands accentuating her tiny face. She was without a blemish or mark, full pink lips formed into a gentle expression. The man gave a nod and turned, facing the opaque windows before them. The pink light from the evening dawn shone through to cast the room in an orange hue, flames blooming from every corner and shelf. Esther looked out of place. "I've called you here to speak you about some very pressing matters, Child. You must heed my warnings." The young woman looked up at the man with shimmering eyes, and offered a small nod, listening on. "Things are never as they seem during this trivial time...You must take care to protect yourself. Never abandon your faith, or your rosary." He grasped her hands tightly, staring into her eyes. "Your innocence is precious to this church." The father paused for a moment, thinking over his words. "To the lord." All Esther could offer was a quick nod.
"Your life is in his hands. Pray for protection, pray for salvation. Nary a demon may lay their hands on the previous blood of the virgin, for that is the day the devil will reap. Do you understand, Esther?"
"Y-Yes, father. I understand." "I'd like you to dedicate yourself to more prayer from now on. The omen..." He didn't finish his sentence, and shook his head. "God is watching over you, Esther. Your parents would be very proud. Remember this." A soft smile was offered and it was returned. The two theists exchanged prayer before Esther excited the room and headed towards the gardens to tend to her chores.
As she walked, her mind reeled. This omen everyone spoke of, of the coming of demons. How did it present? How was she supposed to protect herself if she didn't even know what to expect? Esther exhaled softly to steel herself. She needed to put her faith in God, just like the father had said. He would protect her. So long a she remained faithful and prayed for forgiveness and salvation, he would watch over her and protect her. Esther was also sure her parents were watching over her, too. They would also protect her.
It was a short walk to the garden. Outside of the grounds, in the back, was a small path leading to a greenhouse surrounded by a vegetable and flower garden. Every week, she would make her way there and tend to the vegetation. Every so often she'd pick some flowers and place them around the chapel. The sisters appreciated this, and it made Esther feel less lonely.
The sky had begun to turn an orange color, with pink wispy clouds blocking the sun's setting horizon. It looked very pretty. As she cared for the flowers, treated their stems and watered their bases, she found herself contemplating her position, as she often did. Dedicating her life to prayer and being of devout faith was all she knew. Esther felt like there was always something missing from her life. Like she needed a friend, or a companion. Something or someone she could go to when she wanted to speak with them, or even get advice. It was something she couldn't do with the other sisters, or even mother superior. None of them were her age, and they all had spent their lives with the church as well. They didn't know the taste of freedom that Esther had. They didn't crave companionship from another person because they had the other sisters, and the lord. And although it was true that Esther was taught that the lord was her first companion, she still felt something missing. A warm body, a pair of new features to laugh and smile beside her. The lord didn't offer any of that to her.
It didn't take very long for Esther to water and tend to the flowers and vegetables in and surrounding the greenhouse. Beside it was a gazebo surrounded by pink and white peonies, Esther's favorite flowers. The young woman made her way towards them when she noticed something peculiar. She set her watering can down for a moment and approached a patch of flowers that had wrapped themselves around the gazebo's arch. This wasn't an occurrence out of the norm, but what caught her interest was the single almost dark blood red peony growing out from among the pink and white ones. A gentle finger came up to caress its petals and pluck it from it's confines. Esther took in its fragrant scent and closed her eyes, thinking it so strange, and so pleasant. The smell was unlike the others. It was dark and musky, but so tantalizingly sweet. Her thumb caught on the stem and she winced slightly, looking down to see a thorn had cut her and caused her fore finger to bleed. The clergy woman blinked in surprise. She didn't know peonies could have thorns. Her dark red blood matched that of the flower's color, and the liquid streamed down her index to the floor of the pristine white gazebo, staining it with a single droplet.

"Don't you know, cutting your finger on a blood red flower is a bad omen." His voice was dangerously low and husky. The man that appeared under the mist stood about 6'2" with ear length black hair and eyes the colour of blood, just like the flower the young woman held in her hand. Horns came out of the side of his head in the shape of a boars tusk and his skin was pale white. He did one quick visual sweep of the room and then turned his attention fully to the woman who's blood allowed him to enter the human world. She was petite compared to him, a small frail looking body and very soft looking grey hair- at least that what it looked like to him. He could see her blue eyes were full of emotion, which is probably the reason why the flower chose her to open the portal for him. For years he had that flower there, only people who were feeling lonely, lost or confused could open the portal that allowed him to cross from the demon world to the human world. He could just feel the emotions emitting off the woman. The man had come from an alternate world to this one, one filled with this worlds worst nightmares and he, undoubtedly, was the king of that world. The humans in the past had called him Lucifer, but no human in this generation has ever lived long enough to learn his real name. He only went by Anthony to them, they had no reason to know who he actually was since the stories about him weren't exactly the prettiest. Lucifer was a vicious man that destroyed everything in his path to achieve greatness, but had been stricken down by his own brother in arms and sent to rule a place of hate and agony in a world masked from the humans. He took a step away from her and went over to the rose bush just across from them, staring down at the dead wilted flowers. He liked roses, but never got a chance to ever see one full of life in person. His dark energy was so strong it killed all plant life that it came in contact with almost immediately. A soft inaudible sigh left his pink lips and he turned to face the young woman again. "What is your name, love?" He asked her, dark red eyes never leaving her eyes. He hoped she didn't scream and run away from him, because that would only result in him having to go and catch her, which wouldn't be too much of a problem for him, but he'd rather not have some woman running around telling people he came out of a flower. He wanted to keep his presence on the down low. With that thought in mind, he mumbled some words from a spell and the horns on the side of his head were gone and his eyes were no longer glowing red, but what looked like a dark brown. Thoughts: I hope she's afraid... | Company: [Esther | OOC: I'm sorry if it's sloppy. I am actually extremely tired and lost track of time. @.@ ---

Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ All thoughts ran from her mind when the figure appeared. The world froze, and she could only stare at the individual before her. From what she saw, it was the personification of the devil. Eyes of blood red, horns of the goat, voice of the accuser. Towered above all humans. He came with a few words, enough to make Esther tremble and drop what was left of the flower stem on the ground. She stepped back until she was facing the wall of the gazebo, her spine to a row of flowers and lacy ornamentation. Her finger still bled.
Around the young woman looked, for any sign of safety, for any explanation that would account for this man's presence. She found nothing, but upon her soft gaze of him, he'd changed. The devilish features were gone. Who now appeared in front of her looked to be a handsome young man about her age. This was something unheard of in the church. Young women and men were to be separated at all times, to avoid sinful thoughts and actions. Esther thought this as a sign of the lord testing her faith. It was then she began to ponder who he was, and why he was here.
The lord might've been testing her faith, showing her the devilish sins that came with him answering her prayers. Or so she thought. Could this be the companionship she had yearned for? Did it come with the price? Esther would only come to find out. All she knew was that from now on, she was to pray for forgiveness and protection. It very well could've been that this man was there to protect her. Esther calmed her fluttering heart. The demonic features couldn't of been real. It was her mind playing tricks, telling her to be careful and cautious of young men and strangers.
The thought of a person joining her and befriending her, even if they were a stranger - It only made her heart race. He asked her name, and Esther timidly clutched at her dress's sides, lifting them slightly and bowing a polite curtsy. "My name is Esther. Peace with you, kind sir." Her voice trembled slightly and she took a curious step closer, examining his features shyly. A petulant hand was brought to her bosom in hesitance. "M-Might I ask your name? Perhaps, also...how you came to find yourself in this holy place? If you would so please pardon my curiosity," She looked down at the ground, cheeks stained red. Esther was always taught that asking too many questions was rude and unbecoming of a lady, so she needed to ask permission to inquire as well as excuse rudeness.

"Esther... What a lovely name." He cooed at her, licking his pink lips as he also stepped closer, bringing a hand up to caress her soft pale cheek. "My name is Anthony, Love. I came here to pray, but it seems I've gotten lost." He lied, Lucifer would never pray to anyone. He only believes in himself and the power he holds. He's taken down countless weaklings in his world and in this world throughout his long, prosperous life. Though, his life had been a lonely one, Lucifer only ever truly loved one woman and that was almost 100 years ago, he remembered her so clearly. He remembered her soft caramel coloured skin and her big hazel eyes that would look up at him with such curiousity. With an inaudible sigh, he pushed the memory to the side and focused on the woman in front of him. "Would you care to show me where the pray rooms are?" He asked her, offering what seemed like a soft smile. He had to play nice now, or else he'd be found out and that was the last thing he needed. He placed his hand back down at his side and stared down at the small girl, their eyes meeting. Lucifer didn't really expect much from this woman, she seemed so innocent. In fact, he could taste her innocence, and it sure tasted sweet. He could tell that she was a virgin but he didn't say anything about it, he figured that it would save him a slap in the face and being told to leave. "You're very beautiful, Esther. Has anyone ever told you that?" He winked at her and he began to wander around the now dead garden, awaiting her answer. Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ He touched her! Esther blinked in slight surprise at his close proximity and (what seemed to her)intimate touches. She looked into his eyes and could smell his musky, earthy scent. It was unlike anything she'd ever smelled before. Esther was so used to fragrant and pure scents. Something smelling this natural and alluring reminded her of when she was alone with her aunt. She would go outside and walk the fields. She'd smell the grass, and in some cases, fresh rainfall. It brought her closer to God. She loved nature, she loved the outside. They kept her confined for the most part, so this man was a fresh new experience.
She attempted a shy smile as he caressed her cheek and eventually pulled away. Esther feltl her flushed cheeks darken at the memory and his comment. "Bless your heart. You're very kind, sir Antony." Her hands were brought in front of her and clasped together. She smiled brightly at the mentioning of his worship. "You must be new to the chapel, then? How darling, it's quite wonderful to get a new arrival. I very much look forward to your acquaintance."
The virgin woman turned to leave the gazebo but stopped in her tracks when he commented on her beauty. In all her life, no one had ever said that to her. Such blunt words were rare...Esther was always told no one could judge her but God, and everyone was beautiful in his eyes. Her looks were not given much thought here at the church and throughout her life. The mention of beauty made her shrink back shyly. "Ah, well-" She started, not exactly knowing how to answer. The innocent woman then became distracted by the wilting flowers, surprised at their sudden change. She wondered if instead of filling the watering can with water, she filled it with pesticide or alcohol cleaning solution. It would certainly be strange to do so, but not unheard of. Or perhaps that in and of itself was an omen...
Esther's heart dropped in her chest. Perhaps there was danger to come from being outside? Perhaps that was a sign? Then it would be best to leave, indeed. She would be coming in quite a bit earlier than she was used to from her chores, but Esther was sure the other sisters wouldn't mind. Especially since they needed to welcome a new arrival.
Esther stepped along the path and faced Antony, waiting for him to join her so she could show him the way. It was then she finally addressed his comment. "This is my first time being called such." She smiled despite her pink dusted cheeks - a gentle, soft smile filled with warmth graced her lips. "It's very flattering. I've been taught we are all equal in the eyes of God, therefore individual beauty has little meaning. I believe then, it would also be appropriate to say that you are quite beautiful as well, Antony." Her smile warmed further and she motioned forward towards the chapel. "Shall we, then?"
As they walked Esther tried with much difficulty to stare in front of herself, but ever so often she would cast a side glance towards the man beside her, and she'd blush furiously and look down at her feet when it was returned or he made an attempt to look at her, too. This was such a strange occurrence...She wasn't sure how to act. With her fellow sisters, there was protocol. She needed to be poise and polite. Around her eldest father, it was much in the same. But she wasn't familiar with how to act around men, especially one who seemed to be her age.
Esther fiddled with her fingers for a moment before she blinked in surprise and looked down at her finger. It had stopped bleeding but her hand had streams of blood donning it. She made a note to clean that up when they entered the church.
Upon going in, Esther decided that she would just act like herself around the man. She was in his company, and felt like the both of them were equal in the eyes of the Lord, therefore there was no need to uphold the restraint she would uphold when around the Father, for example. Besides, Esther didn't think herself much more different from when she was speaking to the church people.
Through a long labyrinth of hallways they went, and the church was eerily empty. She didn't hear footsteps, but thought she heard faint chanting coming from afar, something she did not recognize at all. Esther always had the duty to care for the flowers outside every day after supper, so she wasn't sure what people did while she was gone. She assumed everyone was in prayer. However, when they entered a small prayer room alit with white and red candles, finding it completely empty, Esther was curious and confused. Where were the others? Her sisters frequented this room often when it came to prayers. If they weren't praying, what were they doing? Where were they?
Esther exhaled softly and realized her curiosity was extremely unbecoming. She was a very curious person. She loved learning and asking things, however all throughout her life these actions were frowned upon. So she was left holding it all in. There were so many questions about her life and self that she didn't know the answer to. It was difficult to just leave things be. However, that's what the church wanted and what they told her God wanted her to be like, so she followed. Albeit a bit blindly.
In the room were a few pews, along with candelabras and shelves filled with biblical literature. It was lit only by candlelight. Esther approached the alter and looked up at the cross centered there endearingly. She closed her eyes and clutched her rosary, resting warmly under her dress between her supple bosom. Quietly, to herself, she said a prayer and smiled, turning to her guest. "I do hope our quarters are sufficient. I had not expected the cathedral to be so barren at this time. Perhaps a bit later I could request an audience with the holy father, so that you may be given a room?" Her lovely eyes rested on his features, indigo orbs patient and caring.

He didn't say anything until he was sure she was done speaking as they walked down the hallway. He wasn't exactly new to this holy place, coming here long before her birth, long before they had switched owners. He admired the intricate designs on the walls and came to a stop when she did, staring at her with a brow raised. "It's a shame no one has told you that you are beautiful." Beauty has everything to do with those cursed Angels... He shook his head and crossed his thick, muscular arms over his chest. He felt some kind of presence in this holy place that was not there before, and it bugged him. Before, coming here would make him sick and now he barely felt a thing. In his opinion, a church was the best breeding ground for sin. There were too many depraved people and giving them hallucinations of a life beyond the church, without the word of God was sometimes too appealing to not take up to some. He's seen many confused souls leave this place in the last hundred years. He entered the room after her, his eyes scanning it before her scoffed to himself. This was no longer a place where Gods word was passed on to the people, he knew this feeling. It was similar to his own hidden aura, evil. When she spoke again, he stared at her, his eyes never leaving hers. "I would love to meet your Holy Father, Esther." He offered her a coy smile and looked away to stare at the altar, his eyes scanning every bit of detail it offered to him. Esther blushed and simply nodded to what he said about her never being told that she was beautiful. Well, she supposed that might've been true, but she also believed such a thing wasn't necessary. Being at peace with the world and with yourself meant you were happy, and meant beauty was nothing more than a third party. You didn't need to feel or be told you were beautiful for it to have any meaning. You could be beautiful just staying and living.
Antony's intense gaze on her only made her flushing cheeks darken, and she nodded once more to his request at meeting The Holy Father. Quietly, she offered, "I do believe he's currently in his quarters. We could travel there, now, if you'd like?" Upon his approval, Esther and him left the room only to go through another maze of halls, still not meeting anyone.
When they approached the Holy Father's Quarters, Esther quietly knocked on the door. There was silence, and then a low, satisfied groan. It was much too quiet for Esther to hear, unfortunately. The door was opened after a moment to reveal a rather disheveled looking mother superior and the father. He smiled pleasantly at Esther, only for it to drop seeing the figure next to her.
"Greetings, child. Peace be with you. And who is this?" Esther stepped aside and offered a bow of her head. "His name is Antony, father. I believe the other monastery perhaps sent him? He met me in the garden."
The father continued staring at Antony, something not feeling right. Suddenly, the mother gasped. "Dear child, what's happened to your hand?" Esther looked down at her bloodied finger and said, "I pricked it while picking a flower..."
The mother and father gave each other surprised, almost worried looks. First to speak up was the man. "Esther, due to these...circumstances I do believe you should be taken down to the depths and cleansed. Mother superior will take care of you today. I will see to it that our guest gets acquainted." Esther nodded and bowed once more, being ushered out of the room by the woman.
When Antony and the Father were alone, the man glared at him, sitting down at his desk, dropping the holy facade. "You must be from the central church. I had not expected them to bring a young man. Though I do suppose it's appropriate,"
The "holy father" adjusted his collar and rolled his shoulders boredly. "The sacrifice is not yet ready for the ceremony. I know it's dangerous to wait any longer, she could easily become tainted - especially with you here, but alas, the solstice is yet to arrive. I expect your interactions to be rare; we don't need another incident of tainting the virgin."

"Undress while I prepare your bath." Esther nodded and did what was asked of her. This had become a regular occurrence every few days. A nun would help her bathe in holy water, muttering prayers and caring for her skin and hair while she soaked. They had told her it was because Esther's body was foreign to the church, and needed to be properly cleansed. That her body needed to be cleansed several times in order for it to be pure in the eyes of the lord. In reality, a clean, perfect sacrifice meant the best results when it came the time of the ceremony.
Esther stepped underneath the running water and sighed. It was always cold. It made her pale bare body shiver. The nun tended to her finger and scrubbed her back and stomach. "Esther, did this new arrival do anything strange?" The nun asked as she washed her hair. Esther thought about it for a moment, and shook her head. "He caressed my cheek." The nun nodded and gave her a silken towel to wash her face with. When Esther was finished, she quietly mumbled, "Mother, may I ask you a question?
"What is it, child?" She paused awkwardly and flushed before asking it. "Do...you think me beautiful?" The woman stopped her actions in surprise, looking down at the embarrassed, naked girl. "I think you are as perfect as God made you," The nun answered softly, rinsing Esther hair. Too perfect to not be sinful towards, She thought to herself grimly, leaving the room in order to give Esther some privacy so she could cleanse the rest of her body.
When the nun did leave, Esther sat there and hugged her knees, contemplating what this new arrival meant for her and the church.

When Esther and the other nun had walked away, he followed the "Holy Father" into his office and listened to what he had to say. Obviously, this man had mistaken him for someone else and revealed something he probably shouldn't have. Lucifer smirked at the unholy man and looked around the room, seeing a wooden cross hanging off the wall. He wandered over to it, staying silent until he reached over and pulled it off the wall. He turned to face the Holy Father and then snapped the wooden cross in two and placed it on his deck. "I can't wait for the solstice." His eyes never leaving the Holy Father. "I will make sure to leave her be." He knew they were speaking about Esther. He licked his lips and then turned away from the Holy Father. "I am glad you're looking forward to it, but remember this as a warning... Stay away from the sacrifice. We can't compromise this so close to the solstice." He warned Lucifer, unknowing of who he actually was. Lucifer waved his hand in the air dismissively . "Just have a room made up for me and you won't have to worry about that." He said as he left the room. Thoughts: This church doesn't feel right... | Company: Esther | OOC: Pardon my sloppy post, I am very tired. ---

Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ The pope raised an eyebrow at the boy's actions, seeing him clutch the cross willingly. But his mind was cleared of any doubts when the holy symbol was snapped in half with ease and presented to him. He nodded, making a note to tell one of the nuns a room needed to be cleaned and prepped for a new guest. As soon as Antony left the room, the holy father picked up the remnants of the cross and threw it in the trash distastefully, covering up the sacrilegious image with some papers. He then sat down at his desk and continued his work of planning the solstice, listing everything they needed for the ceremonial feast, binging, etc.
A few minutes later, a nun knocked on his door and entered upon his request. It was Mother Superior. The pope sighed and released his facade. "Well?" He asked expectantly. "We can trust the boy. From the girl's words, he did not try anything." "Well, that's fairly obvious. What else about her?" The nun paused and shrugged boredly. "I've thoroughly cleansed her. All of her. She's in pristine silken white robes to finish the process." "Good." The pope leaned back in his chair and sighed. The nun then added, "She is making her way towards the private hall to engage in prayer for the rest of the day."
The pope got up and went over to one of the shelves. He flipped through one of the books there. "Ah, yes. And see to it that a nun prepare a room for a guest, as well. Preferably far away from Esther's quarters." Mother superior left the room to do just that.
Meanwhile, Esther made her way down the halls, tracing the steps she'd taken from before to make her way to the very same room she went to when first entering the building with Antony: The prayer room. Dressed in all white, hair let out, she looked flawless. Her clothing was designed so the rosary she always wore was positioned perfectly in the center of her chest, blood red beads providing a striking contrast to the rest of her clothing. Once in the room, Esther did as she always did when it was ordered that she engage in prayer for the rest of the day. She positioned herself perfectly in the center of the room, facing the alter and cross.
The sacrifice knelt down, lacey train and gown billowing around her. Closing her eyes, Esther clutched the cross necklace on her supple bosom with both hands and began to whisper prayers that, when chanted enough, began to sound more sinister. However, instructed to reflect on her biblical studies, Esther's attention to the seance-like words was diverted.
At the mention of these words over and over, the candles began to flicker, and hanging rosary from the alter began to spin counter-clockwise. All unbeknownst to the ignorant woman, as always.

So they planned to sacrifice that young, innocent women but for what purpose? He could feel an energy similar to his own demonic energy that was masked as he was in his human form, but it wasn't nearly as strong. It was faint, and he needed to find the source. He followed the feel of the energy and led himself into the basement, to a library. His lips pursed into a tight line as he entered the library, glancing around to see if there were any people. His eyes flickered red as he was about to step into the library. "Ah, sir! You can't go in there!" A woman called from behind him. He turned his head, flashing her his true form momentarily, watching her face distort into one of fright. He flashed her a smile and turned his whole body to face her. She was a young woman dressed in a nuns outfit, big blue eyes and big pink lips. "Why?" He challenged her, watching her face turn red from being flustered. "It's off limits to civilians..." She muttered. He moved closer to her, almost towering over the poor woman. He reached up and rubbed his thumb against her cheek, seeping his dark energy into her, watching her eyes glaze over. She was weak in the name of god. He removed his hand and took a step back, watching her stumble backwards and look at him with wide eyes. He'd just flashed her a vision of what her life could be like, what being with a man would be like. Her face heated up, and she turned her back to him. "Uhm, you're room is ready." She said, hurrying down the hallway. He smirked to himself and followed her back up to the main floor, in the back of his mind he knew he'd have to go back to the library when everything was dark. It wasn't going to be hard for him to sneak past anyone. As he followed the young nun, they passed a familiar room, one where Esther was down on her knees praying. The feeling that seeped out of the room was what made him stop. This woman wasn't praying to the god she thought she was praying to. It never came so clearly to him before, these people were worshipping him. This was a cult. He wondered why it took him so long to figure it out, but now that he knew, he would take advantage of it... Starting with Esther. Thoughts: This church doesn't feel right... | Company: Esther | Pedestriane So, is the sacrifice going to go down this night, or another night? If they're trying to rush it, would they risk not doing it on the solstice? Lucifer is going to torture them, just so you know.

Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ Lucifer was escorted to his room without a problem, and Esther continued to pray. Again and again, she spoke familiar words, reciting scriptures she'd memorized ever since she was a child, ordered by her parents. It was second nature. The mention of such occult words summoned a demonic presence within the church very great. But it was exactly what they wanted. Only the most innocent and untainted of virgins could be used to summon up a presence in his name. That's why Esther was so perfect. She was one of the humans a devil could enjoy corrupting, as there was so much there to tarnish.
Hours passed with her religious creed, and knew she was finished when mother Superior came into the room. "Esther. It's time to return to your chamber. Shall I see you off?" The girl was silent. She stood up to face the woman and the nun looked shocked. The holy girl's skin was unnaturally pale, and her rosary looked slick with blood, almost glowing with an abnormal aura. Her eyes were blurred and almost lifeless. She looked like a living doll. "O-On second thought, I do think you will be fine on your own."
The nun bowed her head and stepped aside. This state of orthodox was the first sign of the mark, meaning they were right on track with how Esther needed to progress in order to be sacrificed. Esther didn't answer, just nodded stiffly and exited the room, walking perfect paces, staring straight in front of her.
"I must go speak to the father tomorrow morn, perhaps we don't need to wait for the solstice, after all..." She hurried along a different path to her own quarters downstairs, feeling accomplished and excited for what was to come, but afraid of the unknown.
Esther continued walking down the several barren halls lit only by candles. Everyone was off to bed. Her quiet steps were all left in the cathedrals. In her head were flowing thoughts of the seven sins, making her feel numb. She blinked and could see the words of the devil imprinted on the walls and furniture, all in Latin. After a bit of aimless walking, Esther suddenly found herself coming out of this trance, feeling weak and drained of her energy. Her dainty hand fell from clutching the rosary, walking coming to a stop.
The girl turned, confused. She placed a hand on her temple, trying to recall what she was doing. There weren't any windows anywhere, she couldn't tell what time of day it was, nor what she was doing. Because of how dark it was, and the foreign place she found herself in, Esther thought herself in a dream. "I seem to be lost..." She whispered quietly, looking around. "Perhaps I'm dreaming...How strange,"

No one compares to you But there's no you - Except in my dreams t o n i g h t Saint n i k e What I was thinking was that a week or so would pass in RP time, Anthony's effects on Esther would start coming out more and more (She'd ask more questions, be more brave, etc,) And then the risk would be the great so they'd lock her up in a dungeon of sorts until the solstice. The ceremony would be the next day or whatever. I am 100% with Lucifer doing that, lol. They're crazy. They need to be taught a lesson from their God.

Every time I close my eyes xxxxxx - it's like a dark paradise No one compares to you I'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side xxxxxI don't wanna wake up from this tonight_________________________________________________________________________ Esther had been staring at the ground vigilantly, trying her hardest to account for any of her actions before she found herself in the middle of this hallway. Perhaps she was praying? But then, where was the prayer room? She wouldn't be wandering the hallways like this without an escort. No matter where Esther went, people had to go with her. The only time she was truly alone was when she was out in the garden, tending to her flowers.
There seemed to be a similar feeling within her, like one she felt when she could by by her own. A sense of better belonging and happiness. She looked around and pursed her lips, gaze returning to the ground. This was far to strange. Perhaps her thinking was right; maybe she was in a dream. After all, she didn't recognize her surroundings and it seemed to be darker than usual. As to test this, Esther closed her eyes and thought of anything to appear before her. The first thing that came to mind was the king, gentle man she'd met earlier. He had beautiful eyes and such soft hands.
When the young woman opened her eyes to nothing, she sighed softly and turned around, only to have her eyes widen in shock when Anthony rounded the corner. This was a dream! He drew closer to her and Esther cursed, bringing the sides of her large, billowing Lacey dress up in a proper greeting. Her rosary fell with gravity and gave a quick twirl and glow towards its deity. "Yes, Anthony. It's so nice to see you again." She brought her hands together and flushed. "I had not expected to see you again. I've been told not to interact very much with people of the opposite gender. That is, unless they're the father." Her blush deepened. "But...How strange for you to appear in this dream of mine when I thought of you." A smile appeared on her face and she looked around. "Such a strange setting to dream up as well...I'm not sure where this is..." She did a quick twirl, exposing a creamy back due to the cutoff of her dress.
Esther didn't think she had many other things to do besides indulge in this dream. "How are you, Anthony? I do hope you're well acquainted with your room." Her lovely smile was back.
