Monsters? Prompt 1
Solo or RP Format Can be used toward Solo or RP req
With the recently discovered Yaeli, the land of Tendaji has been abuzz with talk and gossip about their new neighbors. They're odd, they're strange and skittish, their eyes glow - but that can't possibly be true most say - the word on the street is that they're starting to leave their island. Those that had met the Yaeli know that it's an odd thing to hear. They were terrified of the outsiders, why would they leave their safe villages...
Rumors are filling the toxic island where the Alkidikes extremists were banished along with the Matron. Rumors of monsters clawing their way out of the earth with oil black skin and glowing evil eyes that are even weirder than the strange monsters that landed upon their shores just one year ago. The Yaeli say that their gaze can steal the soul of any person dumb enough to get too close and they're vicious beings trying to take their children.
These rumors have reached the main land as well, mostly through the few Yaeli that have decided they would rather face the scary but similar earthling races than to have to find out what the terrifying monsters want with them and their land.
Is there any truth to these rumors or are the Yaelians seeing things?

Bisera was sitting cross legged in the living room, starring at the journal in his lap, tapping his pencil against it. His mind was whirling, though it wasn't about the work that he should be doing, but instead it was something that his brothers had been talking about. There was a rumor going around about strangers from the south, way south, passed Matori in a mysterious place called Yael. It was a place where the the dangerous zealots among the Alkidike had been sent, banished to keep everyone else safe. It would seem as though the island that they had been sent to wasn't empty though, there were others living there, what was being described as a tribe of people that appeared afraid of the outside world. It was one of those things that had worried Bisera, wondering what the poor tribe was doing now, if the zealots were going to take advantage of that fear, things like that.
If they were afraid of the zealots that were living on the island what would they do about it? Would they flee from Yael? Fighting wasn't something that Bisera cared for and he found himself wondering if they were the same as he was. Avoiding battles by leaving their island... it sounded sad. Not to mention a glaring question that came to mind for Bisera, wouldn't anything that happened to the new tribe be the fault of those who had banished the zealots to Yael? Anything that might happen to them at the hands of the zealots would never have happened to them if they hadn't been sent away. At the same time if they weren't sent away there would have been more of the wars like the one that had been fought at the edge of Sauti not that long ago. It was a lose, lose sort of thing, wasn't it?
That wasn't the only thing to worry about though, his brothers had also told the family about other strange rumors coming out of Yael. There were apparently... monsters as well? Black, oily things that were coming up from the ground. They had dark skin, glowing eyes, creatures that could steal souls with a glance. It seemed as though they were also child thieves which was what made them more terrifying then anything else that they could do. Worse then their supposed appearance, the ability to steal souls from anyone they looked at, more so then anything else the idea that there were child stealing monsters. It made him consider the idea that they could escape their island, that they could come here, try to steal his little siblings.
His brothers didn't seem to think that they were a threat though, instead thinking that they were nightmare creatures created in the minds of a tribe that were afraid of everything. Why should anyone worry about things that didn't exist? Were they fake? Were they real? Would they stay in Yael or would they spread like a wild fire and harm others? Were they going after the zealot Alkidike that were on the island as well? He shouldn't think about them or worry about them, they were the 'enemy' after all, and yet he couldn't help it. Would anyone mourn if those inky monsters were real and attacked the zealots as much as they did the new tribe? Questions that he'd kept to himself. His brothers had fought in the battle against the zealots and because of that Bisera couldn't allow himself to show concern for the 'enemy' in front of them without looking bad, well worse, in their eyes.
Giving a shake of his head he turned his attention back to the journal on his lap, tapping his writing utensil against paper. There was a lot that he didn't know, huh? He stayed at home, venturing out only to find new materials, but never going far. He didn't have any interest when it came to travel, save for considering visiting his older sister, her husband, and their baby in Tale, but other then that he didn't really think about it. Should he though? He couldn't exactly go through life only getting information when his brothers came back to share it with him. He could learn more about what was going on in the world, about the new tribe, the inky monsters, the zealots, and everything else going on down south if he sought out the answers himself.
Not to mention that if he did start to travel it would give him access to all manner of new materials to make things out of, as well as inspiration from the other tribes of the world. It was something he should consider, both to allow him to learn everything he wanted to know about what was going on down south as well expand his skill set. These thoughts now filling his head his attention went to his journal once and this time he was finally able to sketch something.
