Winter was always very beautiful in the mountains city of Destiny. It was kinda romantic the way the sky opened up the day after a heavy snowfall and all the snow glittered as the lights of the moon bounced off of it. Despite the dangers that came along with wandering around at night, Anxo made his way out into the snow, all bundled up nice and tight and warm. Under his arm he carried bag filled with his camera, a thermos of hot cocoa, and a few extra bobbles here and there, just in case. In case of what? In case of everything!
Upon his decision of actually leaving the house and facing his fears, came the old Anxo whom his friends remembered. The one who prepared for every gosh darn little thing. The one who found wonder in the world and the people around him, and it was hard to think that there could have been any other feeling in the world beyond the peace he was feeling right now. Damn, was this place gorgeous though! A singular place in the snow in the park in the late hours of the evening, just a little ways off the dark trail that wound through the place. The park, such a dangerous place as of late, was calm and peaceful this evening with the only real sounds being the occasional falling of clumps of snow from the trees onto the ground below.
Despite the cold and dampness, Anxo eagerly began to set himself up to snap a few photos of the place atop the hill. Hell, there was even a brilliant view of the crystal clear sky above. How rare was it to be able to see the sky so vibrantly near the city. Without the clouds there was no real reflection of downtown on the sky line. It was absolutely perfect for photographs of winter scenes for his design class.. Ahh, it was absolutely perfect, and for the first time in forever Anxo lost himself within his activities. It wasn't until he wanted a great view of the sky did he even move. He honestly just flopped down onto the ground as if he was going to make a snow angel atop this small hill, and pointed his camera straight up, snapping photo after photo of glorious stars. Maybe later he'd actually be able to find some of the constellations.

It was the perfect night for stargazing. The snow and cold didn't bother Pyewacket much, though he did keep to the trail as much as he could. His winter coat had grown in and his fur was dense enough that it kept his kitty body warm in the chilly air. Even if he had felt the chill, it would have been worth it. He liked the night sky after a good winter snow; the air was crisp and clean, and he could see the stars as clearly as anything here in the park despite the moonlight and the ambient light from Destiny City. The stars spoke to the blue-grey Mauvian, and they had spoken to him about tonight. This was a night filled with good portents and promise. Emerging from a copse of trees, he came upon a sight that at first startled him -- a person lying on their back in the snow on the ground! Pye stopped in his tracks. What had happened here? Had they been drained of energy -- or worse -- by a Negaverse agent? Then he heard the click of a camera shutter and realized that this person was out here taking pictures of the stars. His tail went up in approval. Here was a kindred spirit! And maybe more… Pyewacket closed his bright green eyes and concentrated on the individual on the ground, searching deep within their soul for… There it was! The small spark on the person's starseed he'd been looking for -- the spark of an unawakened senshi. The stars were indeed right tonight! The cat bounded across the snowy clearing, the bell on his collar jingling, not caring for how cold his paws felt. He approached the person, whom he could now tell was a young man, and sat down in the snow not too close as to startle him, but not so far away that he wouldn't be noticed. Watching him take pictures of the night sky, Pye was even more convinced he was right about him. He only hoped the man was amenable to having his life changed forever.

After a few more snapshots, Anxo moved his camera from his eyes and just gazed up at the sky for a bit longer. The more he watched, the more insignificant he felt. Such insignificance was comforting in a sense, as it made all his problems seem irrelevant and that with how huge and unending the universe was, he wouldn't always be this way. It was wonderful.
However, the ground was cold and wet and he could feel the little shivers crawling up his spine, so he sat up, having been far too wrapped up in his little world to notice bells quickly approaching him. He did, however, notice the creature sitting next to him and it rightly did startle him! With a small help he rocked back just a little too far and ended up tumbling down a short distance to the bottom of the miniature hill.
Once stabilized, Anxo picked himself up and looked over at the little beast once more, finally realizing that it wasn't a tiny yet vicious youma creature, but a cat. A cute little blue cat with green eyes that stood out brilliantly in the snow. Relaxation spread across his entire self and he allowed his normally present smile to return, and climbed back up the hill. Sitting back down to where he was before.
"Well.. Hello there... You certainly startled me, little one! But I suppose you just wanted some company in the snow? Feeling cold?" The young man took off the scarf that was bundled around his neck, and put it on the ground, in a nice, fluffy pile for the cat to sit on, if it so chose.
"There. And it's already preheated! That should work for you, yes?"

Pyewacket eyed the scarf that the young man placed on the snow for him. It did look nice and cozy, and the snow was cold, after all. Standing, he crossed the distance between himself and the man, daintily shaking the snow off his paws as he nestled his backside in the warm folds of fabric. A look of contentment crossed his face, and he looked up and gave a happy kitty sigh. "Yes, this is quite nice. What a kind gesture! Thank you." It didn't occur to the Mauvian that the young man might be startled by a talking cat.

It took a few seconds to register what just happened, and when it did, Anxo flailed slightly, and yelped once more, tumbling back down the hill. Granted, it couldn't have been more than a few feet away, he fell, but this time he quickly scrambled back up, blushing due to just how embarrassing the situation was. He was far, far too flinchy for his own good.
"I've been kidnapped, energy drained, and fought giant squid beasts in swimming pools... You'd think I'd be less startled by a feline speaking.. As if that's not common, I'm sure.." He muttered to himself as he checked his camera over for damage before settling down next to the cat once more in the snow.
"I do apologize for that.. It seems I've become far more easily startled than in the past. You're not even scary, so I'm sure my reaction was quite rude... But I am glad you are enjoying a bit of comfort." The little one was, in fact, adorable. There was nothing scary or intimidating about him at all! Honestly, he was a fluffy little thing with glasses and bells. What sort of kitten had such things?! Of course, Anxo knew the answer all too well. It must be magic. It's always magic. Luckily for him it didn't seem like the scary magic he had been exposed to as of late.
The young man's gaze returned once more to the starts, and he smiled up at them as they sparkled in their never ending form. Ah, even with how startling that was, he couldn't stop smiling. It was so nice!
"Did you come here to stargaze as well? Rare, isn't it? That it's so peaceful at night in this city and that you can actually see the sky... It definitely makes one feel small... But I suppose you're not just a talking cat. You must be one of the magical ones associated with the factions around here, am I correct in assuming so? Was there something you needed from me? or did I just steal your spot for the evening?"

Pyewacket watched with some concern as the young man flailed and tumbled down the small hill. "Oh dear," he said to himself. He hadn't meant to startle him! But he stood and checked his camera, all seemingly in order, before he returned to his spot. That was a relief. "No need to apologize." The blue-grey cat followed his gaze up to the stars. "Yes, actually, I did come up here to stargaze. It is passing rare that the sky is so clear you can see the stars. There is so much one can learn from the night sky." He turned to look at the young man again, cocking his head slightly and wrapping his plume of a tail around his paws. "You are correct. I'm what is called a Mauvian. My name is Pyewacket. I'm pleased you already accept that I can talk, and that you know something of the conflict going on in Destiny City." The tip of Pye's tail waved slightly. "The war between the forces of Order and Chaos. I am on the side of Order. I support the White Moon faction, the senshi. The forces of Chaos, the Negaverse, are our enemies. They control the monsters that have been plaguing the city -- the youma. They drain energy from the citizens, sometimes killing them. They must be stopped." He fixed his bright green eyes on the young man. "It's my mission to seek out those with the potential to become something more than they are." Raising a paw, the cat gestured at him. " You have that potential."

"Pyewacket.." What a peculiar name... Not that he was going to say that out loud. People always called their cats weird things like Pickles or Socks. But if he was some sort of magical cat maybe his parents named him or he named himself. Maybe Pyewacket had some sort of special meaning. He was sure Google could tell him later.
Patiently, he listened to the Mauvian explain what he already new. He knew of the Chaos, and the monsters that came and tried to kill people. He knew how dangerous these people and beings would be first hand. His breath halted in his chest as he anticipated what Pyewacket was going to say. And he was right.
"Potential.. To be a Knight?" Anxo's own gaze moved away from the cat to the snow that resided between his boots as he sat on the ground, and he wiggled his feet a bit to make his silent moment of contemplation just a little less intense.
"I've met them before, the Negaverse. I was kidnapped a few weeks ago and told to join them or die. And I was so scared, you know? I always felt so helpless after that, even after joining up with another powerful being to destroy one of those giant monsters that spawned in a pool. Even still, as scary as it is, I don't want to hurt people..."

Pyewacket's slit pupils widened a bit more than they already were. "You were kidnapped by the Negaverse? And fought a monster? You are far braver and more of a warrior than you are giving yourself credit for." He tilted his head to the side to regard the young man. "You don't have to hurt people -- there are those of us on the side of Order who don't directly battle the Negaverse at all. But I will tell you this, and I'm sure you already know it: the Negaverse won't hesitate to hurt you." The blue-grey Mauvian gestured at the young man again. "You have the potential to become not a Knight, but a senshi. The senshi are the warriors of Order, and they have powers that help them defeat the forces of Chaos -- the Negaverse. From what I know of the Knights, the power is similar to what they wield." He made a mental note to himself to do more field work on the Knights, since they were fighting on the same side and all, or at least had the same enemies. It would definitely be beneficial to know as much about them as possible. "What is your name?" he asked.

Pyewacket's words brought forth more memories of that day in the carnival, of the people he could here crying just out of reach, of the others who willingly gave into the Negaverse' wiles to avoid death. And it was terrifying. Maybe... If he really did have power, maybe he didn't have to fight. Maybe he could be something more along the lines of an... An evacuation unit! Like firemen! He could help those poor people who are there, confused and scared and alone to escape the chaos that might engulf them! Yes! That was something he was willing to do.
"So.. A Senshi then. I think I can do that... I am willing to do that.. And my name is Anxo DeLuna." Anxo chose, at that moment, to shift position and to sit on his knees before the talking cat.
"What will you have me do so that I can gain the power to protect?"

Giving an approving nod, Pyewacket rose to his paws. His fluffy tail twitched a couple of times, then the Mauvian leapt into the air, executing something of a twisting backflip mid-leap before landing on all fours again. A small burst of light flared in the air, and an object appeared out of nowhere and landed in the snow at Anxo's feet. It resembled a pen, but it was thicker in diameter than a normal pen and had a peculiar symbol/shape protruding from the top. It lay glimmering in the snow beneath the starlit sky. "That is the key to your transformation," Pyewacket said, something of a pleased tone in his voice. He wasn't very practiced at this, after all -- this was only his second awakening ever. "It's your henshin pen. You must keep it with you at all times, because you never know when you'll be needed." He gestured at the pen with one paw. "Go ahead, Anxo. Pick it up. Then hold it aloft and say Fornax Power, Make Up!" Kapoodles OMG sorry this is so late~

Anxo shielded his eyes from the bright light that flashed before them when the cat did his summoning. Fear wasn't at all what the young man felt; if anything, there was a feeling of exhilaration, seeing such magic right before his eyes. Then before him, at his knees the pen was dropped and he delicately picked it up, rising to his feet.
"If you are certain then here it goes. Fornax Power, Make Up!" Hardly anything felt as natural rolling off his tongue than those words did, and before he realized it, his body was moving on it's own. Piece by piece his clothing changed, his warm winter coat changing into something far lighter and flowing, and his hair bound itself up in a low braid against the back of his head. Flour covered him in a final puff of a cloud once it cleared, he was left standing in the snow, chilly but knowing who he was.
"I... I am Sailor Fornax... And..." He smiled. He knew what his sphere was, and how much it meant to him. Even before he became powered, his love for such a thing remained vibrant and true. "I am the Senshi of Dough. Is that right? That sounds right."
The newly awakened Senshi gave a nervous smile down at the cat near his feet, and he shifted about awkwardly How could he not when everything felt so... So strange?
"What am I to do now...?
While he was excited, there was something else there... Something he needed to do... What was it?
Oh dear, it was the beeping of his phone! His parents were calling, and he scrambled to grab the phone. "I-I'm sorry! I have to go! Oh dear, oh no, Please find me later! I-I have another thing I must do!"
In a flurry of motion, He bolted away. Did he know how to power down...? Nope! But he'd find out the hard way later! [FIN]
