It was a break that Hafwen definitely needed if she was to push on through the night with her studying. For one could only concentrate on the books and notes that needed to be covered for so long until the growling of an empty stomach interrupted her train of thought and further soured her mood. So the Crystal Academy senior had made her way to the communal kitchen that was located in the next block to help herself to some strawberry jam and bread coupled with a cup of instant chicken soup - simple things that didn't require any form of elaborate preparation which in turn could go horribly wrong in the hands of one like herself.
An hour later, she was done and in a much better mood that wouldn't have her snapping at anyone over the most trivial of things. Putting away the plates and the utensils that she had used, she wiped her hands then started making her way back to her room, using the brightly lit covered walkway that connected both buildings and was largely empty at this time of the night with almost every other student on the academy indoors and either fast asleep or hard at work on their assignments/studying.

Ciel had decided to go patrol tonight since she had nothing better to do and she figured alot of knights and senshi would take the night off since it was Christmas eve. So she left her dorm and began to walk towards the entrance to the school.
She hadn't been expecting to see anyone outside at this hour, most of the student still at the dorms were either asleep or busy studding by this hour, but there was an older girl walking back from the communal kitchen. "Pardonne-moi" She said as she steped to the side so that she wouldn't get in the girl's way.
She was about to keep walking when she heard something that made her stop. While she wasn't able to feel auras in her civilian form her nights of patrolling had taught her to recognize the sound of inhuman foot steps in the darkness. Her hopes were dashed when she herd the ape like noises coming from above them as she saw an ape like youma hanging from roof covering of the walkway."Look out!" Ciel barely had enough time to push the older girl out of the way of the ape swinging it's feet into her torso. As a reward Ciel took the hit instead and was sent flying back. She hoped the older girl would take the chance to run now.

Having heard the ape like sounds coming from above as well, Hafwen had instinctively looked up. Before she could even see much lest process what was making those sounds, all she heard was a 'Look out!' and then someone was shoving her to the ground so that the feet of the ape like youma that swung down from the roof of the walkway collided with her instead of the Crystal Academy senior.
A youma within the Crystal Academy campus?
It was the very first time that Hafwen had come across one since her awakening as a knight. Keeping her eyes trained on the youma, she picked herself up and backed up towards where Ciel had landed. "Hey! Are you alright? Do you think you're able to get up and run?" There was still the youma to deal with of course but she needed to ensure the civilian's safety first prior to doing anything.

This wasn't good, why wasn't this girl running. "I'm fine." She replied, it was a lie she was definitely going to be feeling that hit tomorrow but now was not the time to be whining about sore ribs. "You need to get out of here!" She said hoping the girl would listen.
But it was no good the youma was too close it would get her before she could get away. She bite her lip, she didn't like revealing her identity like this but what good was her secret if she let a civilian die right in front of her. So she powered up and in a flash Ciel was gone replaced with Hyperborea.
She forced herself up and ran towards the ape youma intercepting it with a drop kick. "Run, I'll distract it." She told the girl as she got back up ready to face down the monster that had invaded her school.

Hafwen stared at Ciel incredulously, pretty much convinced at this point that the younger Crystal girl must have suffered some form of head injury when she took the hit from the ape youma in her stead. "No you're not. Not after taking a hit like that! Look..." She attempted to rationalise with Ciel, only to witness her powering up to Hyperborea and take off after the ape youma again.
Ok. Everything that had happened now made sense in retrospect then but she would be damned if she let the younger knight face off the youma alone in her already compromised state. Powering up as well, Dallol charged forth to aim a few swings at the ape youma with her weapon. "It'll be much faster if we take care of this beast together." The arabic coffee pot might not make a very impressive weapon with its obvious lack of sharp edges but she had always figured that it would make a pretty good club if she swung it around hard enough.

"Huh?" She was very confused to feel another knight's signature appear behind her as she turned and saw in the older girl's place was a squire of a planet she had not seen yet
"Um yeah." She said nodding her head as she summoned her bow to her hand. Her ribs hurt but she could at least move around. She swung her bow at the ape Yoma like it were a club.
"I'm Hyperborea of the Cosmos." She introduced herself holding her side.

The ape youma must have had the shock of its life when it realized that there was not one but two knights between the two Crystal Academy girls it chose to target tonight. Had it been up against just one knight, it would stand its ground and fight. But when outnumbered by two, it decided that it was time to turn tail and run.
Not that Dallol would allow that as the Squire moved quickly to intercept and cut off its escape route.
"Nuh uh uh. Not so fast. Now finish it off while I still have its attention Hyperborea!"
Aurelius0815 I'm so so sorry for poofing on you for so long. orz I'm happy to finish this but if you'll prefer to drop this or start something new instead given how long it has been, please let me know. redface

The young squire looked at her broken bow and shrugged dispelling the now useless weapon. She touched her signet ring being enveloped by her aspect, the silvery sheen of starlight covering her body.
She jumped onto the youma's back and locked her hands around it's neck in a choke hold. The creature screamed at her touch. It attempted to throw her off but she held on choking the monster as she pulled back with all of her strength using her feet for leverage. She heard a snap as the youma turned to dust leaving her to fall on her behind.
