Hvergelmir was rarely too busy to make time for anyone. Still, she had special concerns over Hyperborea's welfare -- the younger Cosmos knight had been distant for a time, struggling with the tragic deaths of her parents. Hvergelmir was always watchful for more signs, great and small, of how she was weathering the incredible loss of something like that.

She would've made time if she had to.

"I'll see you there," Hvergelmir had promised.

She waited for Hyperborea in the park, near the duck pond. Her aura, she assumed, would be enough for the other knight to be able to locate her easily enough.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the Cosmos squire in such high spirits. "Hello, Hyperborea!" she called out merrily. Perhaps the holiday seasons were infectious.

Hvergelmir accepted the gift readily, overcome with affection. She didn't get many gifts these days -- not that she ever had -- it had mostly been Laney and Jenna swapping all the craziest gifts they'd made for each other, half inside jokes and half cute things made out of construction paper and melted beads.

She opened up the package. "Oh," she said, delighted, "How beautiful! Thank you so much!"

Hvergelmir returned the hug with sincerity and warmth.

"And you too, my friend," she agreed, holding the gift to her chest. "Promise me you won't catch cold in this weather. Stay inside from now on!"
