"Scuttle, you're too heavy." A young voice strained. Tevini had come to Busthind to see if there were any junkpiles she could raid and her lusus had lost control of his momentum. Into the caves he'd gone, crying out an apology while she'd raced to follow him. Tevini was not a very athletic troll so keeping up with him was a miracle of itself. Pushing him out of the cave on her own would be beyond that.

Stopping to take a break, the girl leaned again him and tried to catch her breath. As much as she could try to blame Scuttle, she'd been a little lost outside the cave anyway. She blamed it on distraction. After that fight with Cerpin, it was hard for her to act normal. Though her 'normal' had been compromised already anyway.

"What is this place?" A small pile of disassembled machinery caught her eye and the girl straightened up. She was exhausted but excited that she might not have to go home empty handed. Walking over to start peering through the parts, she focused on evaluating if any of it was still usable or not. Neither Scuttle nor Tevini noticed the fact that in the corner sat a small lit candle.

Tierte couldn't remember the last time she was outside of her cave. Besides the usual hunting for food she hadn't exactly been seeing all the sights Alternia had to offer. After much bothering though Lynxmom had managed to get her out of the cave to go to an open-air market on the plains of New Hemisect City. Needless to say they had been gone quite a while being they were traveling by foot and all.

The little redblood was overjoyed to get back home, away from the bustling city. Though she was getting better about crowds they still made her on edge most of the time. Arriving at the entrance of their cave Tierte hopped of the back of Lynxmom, running inside. She wasn't more than a couple feet in when she paused, edging back into Lynxmom. She could sense it. They weren't alone in their home tonight.

Panic mode going into overdrive, Tierte huddled close to her mom, unsure of what to do. Lynxmom put herself between her baby and the intruder, letting out a low growl. The redblood just hoped it wasn't someone here to kill her...she knew going to that party had been a bad idea!
