▶ INTELLIGENT — Kenji may not be that guy who had mad Arithmancy skills, but he was considered a clever wizard. That was partially why he was able to pass his tests and able to get not involved from fights and troubles. When annoyed or insulted, he attacked back by being sarcastic and/or giving a comeback, which sometimes it kind of failed.
▶ KIND-HEARTED — Kenji was the one who would help people and friends, particularly about personal problems. As long as you did not abuse his patience he would be glad to help you for anything within his reach. Otherwise, he would say 'no' without any second thoughts and if you push him he would snap and be angry at you. He also like being a big brother towards children just like what he did on his prefect school days (unfortunately people don't seem to acknowledge this because he spent more on scolding troublemakers). And seriously, he's never a people-pleaser and he's going to always keep it that way. He was not also the type who would do many favors either if he did not feel like it.
▶ AMBITIOUS — Kenji wanted to achieve greatly at music and was currently doing so. He wanted to achieve goals in a fair kind of way, and basically was determined to look at the positive side as possible. He works hard in his music career as much as he can and dedicated into it, and no one could move him from reaching his ambition.
▶ OBSERVANT — He was usually a quiet guy who would prefer blending and observe people and places. Whenever he was not involved in fights, debates or arguments, he just watch them go like some tennis match. That way, he was able to understand slowly about what was going on and what was wrong or right. He was also careful about when to intervene a sour situation when he understood the situation. But most of the time, he's fairly neutral.
▶ CONFIDENT — Kenji has a fair confidence level and he looked at the positive side, even if he did knew some negative side but that was not the point. Aside from being a strict prefect, he was sometimes this supportive big-brother towards younger students back in Hogwarts. He also was that gives-zero-deals about what people think about him about his traits and being in a "lame" house. Also, he wasn't afraid to punch someone in the face if they harassed him, they really deserved it.

➥ Background History
▶ CHILDHOOD — Kenji's father Joshua came from a wizarding family in the Philippines in which his father is a magizoologist and his mother a musician. Wanting to contribute more in the family, Joshua started his job as an musician like his mother and was quite known to the local wizarding community. From one of his wizarding gigs he met and befriended a muggleborn witch named Wanda who was a locah wandmaker, in which Joshua pretty much teased her for her name-and-wandmaker-relation-- Resulting the woman into ignoring him and growing distaste for such a good singer. However, there was a time when his wand snapped into half when he was having a fun duel with his cousin out of showing-off who was the better duelist and got into big trouble to his parents as the wand was actually an heirloom and the wood was pretty much uncommon. His parents refused to give him a single galleon until he found a replacement for it or whatever, so he swallowed his pride and went to Wanda to ask for a wand. She refused at first, of course, not until Joshua swore not to make fun of her if she did him a favor, in which she reluctantly accepted. Wanda made him a new duplicate of the wand, and at least Joshua's "curse" lifted. They pretty much started hanging out and fortunately both their parents agreed for the marriage (at least, a good and simple marriage) when the time has come. A few years later after his mother died, Joshua and Wanda moved to Britain for a change of scene but he was still visiting there constantly and still making good music. There they settle down in the Godric's Hollow and had a family.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — Kenji was a quiet kid yet a good-hearted one, he spent his childhood wanting to play music and sometimes play with the other kids. And at age 11, he studied at Hogwarts and was sorted to Hufflepuff, not a surprise nor a big deal for him. Until one time he noticed that they got the reputation of Hufflepuffs being lame and/or pushovers, which was why people started noticing him that Kenji was quite tempered to be a Hufflepuff and "mis-sorted and should have been a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor". Schoolmates would also say that he was a tough prefect to deal with once you get into trouble but overall, Kenji basically never cared about other people's opinions because hey at least their dorm was cozy, the house colors looked cool, and houses weren't that a great deal anyway.
Anyway, other than that, he met some fun friends in his dorm, and he could say that his batchmates were a bit dynamic but still cool. One of his friends has been Matteo Eriksson, a Ravenclaw student who was a year below Kenji. They met during the Hufflepuff's third year and they didn't exactly have a good start at first, because Kenji used to have dislike for him because of his smartarse attitude but overall they were fine and gradually reach to a certain point that they were open to each other.
Apparently, during Kenji's fifth year (and Matteo's fourth year), the Ravenclaw was one of the victims who fell into a coma when a curse hit the school; He had been concerned for Matteo for around half the school year. A year after that, another tragedy hit on the Ravenclaw again when Matteo's parents died and grew distant to people, but that didn't stop Kenji from trying to console him to whatever happened (To one point that he kind of sent Matteo into tears when he kept on asking why had he been so distant, Kenji still felt guilty about that); then suddenly Matteo shouted him a question about why was he being too concerned for him anyway when Kenji should be doing other things instead. Well, the problem was, he could not even answer the question and began to avoid Matteo for the whole year while trying to figure out why.
Eventually, he went up to some classmates he could trust to ask for advices or something, until one of them pointed out that Kenji must be having *feelings* for Matteo-- Only that Kenji just never bothering thinking about lovelives because he just never pays attention to it. Kenji proceeded into denying about his romantic feelings for the rest of the year until the beginning of his seventh year, when Matteo finally got himself together and decided to make up to the fight they did by inviting him to a 'Hogsmeade Hangout'. Kenji was at first convinced that it was just some hangout until he was starting to think that he was being awkward around Matteo until the Ravenclaw asked him out of real concern, then Kenji went defensive about it until he accidentally spilled out that he had been denying and analyzing about his (quoting him) "weird feelings" for him since the previous year; Matteo was taken-back that the two of them avoided each other again, and it took a nosy schoolmate to intervene so that they could confess at each other. For some reason, that schoolmate's plan worked and they started dating. Other than that, Kenji passed his NEWTs with flying colors and began to pursue his Musical Career right after he graduated.
▶ POST-GRADUATION — As time goes by, Kenji's music turned heads when he did some gigs around the wizarding communities in England. Well, it didn't attract so much attention, but there was progress in it, since after all Kenji wasn't really pining for attention. Also to support his finances more, he decided to also apply in an Owl Emporium as a part-time since he decided it was a relaxing thing to do (Not to mention that Milo, the shop owner, is a musician, too!). Things also went well for him and Matteo's relationship until the Hogsmeade Attack in the Year 2030, when Matteo was severely injured and could have died of blood loss. Kenji did not take the news well especially when after Matteo recovered he still decided to back to the Department even with a prosthetic leg, and he was beginning to be concerned for his mortality and thought that Matteo would more likely get himself killed, that it went to the point that they had to break up their relationship. Oh well, at least they didn't completely screwed and they remain as friends.
Year 2034 was when he was invited to Nell and Rose's wedding, it was a fun night and he was hanging out with Niall when he met a lady named Estelle Cohen... who happened to be Nell's aunt (and seriously, they were of the same age). They talked here and there until months later in Spring 2035, they meet again in the Leaky Cauldron when Kenji was hired to play guitar for a band. They became friends eventually and he found her, while eccentric, and overall fun person to be around.
