Hobbies:
-Spending time with Sinead : An extremely affectionate cat by nature - and encouraged in this by the fact his person is a child- there is nothing he likes more than to curl up next to his girl, or be held and stroked. Or just being with Sinead. When Sinead returns home from school or other activities he is unable to go to, he is always there waiting for her, ready to go on adventures with her, or sitting still and pretty so she could practise drawing, to listening to her secrets dreams and fears...
- 'Hunting': whether this means stalking shadows and attacking things that aren't necessarily alive to show Sinead that there is nothing for her to fear and he will protect her from whatever monsters there are, to actually hunting rodents, birds and other pests to small youma. He keeps his instincts sharp and his body honed through this activity. And the trophies are kinda fun to collect and hide in his place.
- Assisting his people: He often accompanies Sinead's aunt to the small apothecary she owns. At the shop, he is known for keeping the place pest free, being cute and drawing customers, to sitting on the counter and ... assisting her with putting purchases into bags or baskets.
While it is uncommon for him, he might adopt some of the senshi he awakens (preferably those of a younger age and/or a more innocent nature) and once he claims you as his, he will often show up if he is needed - to act as a sounding board or listening ear, to cheer you up (and get all the cuddles he can) though he never stays for any longer than is absolutely necessary, or to help you get out of a sticky situation. He isn't afraid of getting hurt, if it will protect those he calls his.
Curiosity ki----, err yea... that: Facts and information, knowledge, is one of the most important things in life. Facts can tell you where to go, the possible consequences one might face for certain actions, the reasons why one should fight... Anything. He will do much in search to find new information, so he can inform his own opinions and pass on what he knows, so others can make clear decisions, based on the facts and for what they perceive to be the right reasons (whether it is a mistake or not). From sneaking into libraries or movies to gather intel, or finding and sneaking into places with lots of people talking and acting the part of a cute innocent cat, he will do whatever it takes...
Virtues:
- Laid back: When it comes to day to day life, Oracle has a chill, go-with-the-flow attitude. He chooses to live in the moment and focus on what is most important- the safety and happiness of his charge and others he might happen to take on, and his own happiness, generally in that order.
He has responsibility and a sense of duty - and he will accomplish his tasks and goals - on his own time, in his own Oracle sort of way, and perhaps completed better then one might expect, as long as he isn't pushed or rushed.
- Caring: For things and beings that are close to him, Oracle is kind caring kitty, willing to do whatever he can to see that you are happy, and healthy, or content if nothing else. If you are sad he will do his damnedest to cheer you up (his favorite method of doing this is offering cuddles, purrs and affection. Lots and lots of cuddles and purrs)
Flaws:
- Intractable: Oracle has very definite ideas and opinions about things, and he will not easily change his mind or let others sway him. Even when it becomes obvious he was wrong... It is damn near impossible to get him to change his mind ( taking either a minor miracle or facts and proof that are incontrovertible shoved into his face so that not even he can make an argument against them.
If he is forced to change his mind or opinion, he will not do so with grace. He pouts and mopes about, holding a grudge until the other party does something to somehow make up for having the audacity to be right where he was wrong. (generally offering bribes of food and cuddles do well to mollify him.)
- Blunt: He isn't one to say that everything will be alright. He knows the world is more than just black and white, and as many good things as there are, there are even more bad. And he isn't shy about saying so (though with children he tries to use some tact). Sometimes the truth hurts, but it all needs to be said. Not that he won't feel bad about the way he says things... eventually. But a small hurt now may well save you from a larger hurt later on. And the best way to combat the the worst parts of life is knowledge and the unvarnished truth. So he will often say things, even if you might not want to hear it. Perhaps saying too much, which in his mind is better than not saying enough. Forewarned is forearmed after all... and one is less likely to make the wrong decision if they are in possession of the facts.
And after all is said and done, it can all be made better with some cuddles, right?
