A large ship sits anchored in the water just beyond the shallows. Large golden letters on the hull reading "The Fool's Haven" glistened in the midday sun. The crew moves about hurriedly on deck as they prepare the long boats to go ashore. The captain and several crew members are lowered into the long boat as they prepare to resupply in this small ocean-side town of Shoreport. Together, five long boats slide onto the shore, carried by the incoming tide. The crew pushes the boats a far distance into the sand, preparing for high waters. As the boats are anchored into the sand, the captain hops out and begins to walk towards the town. Her long coat flapping in the wind, she trudges through the sand, her cutlass hanging readily at her hip. Her black hair and blue skin looked remarkably clean for a sailor. The remainder of her crew are men, and they all desperately needed a bath. She waited patiently by the shore line for the remained of her crew.

Matt Alfen Matt had been wandering about on the beach with an ice cream in hand and the other hand in his pocket. He was currently clearing his head a bit to think about some things. It was then he saw, out in the ocean, a really old time boat, like one of those that were used during the time of the 13 colonies. "Somebody has an interesting hobby." He muttered curiously as he saw long boats drop into the water with people on them. They soon arrived on shore with the long boats heading back to the ship, which looked similar to an East Indiaman, he then looked at the group of dirty looking men and the lone woman that looked like the leader with a cutlass at her hip. Mainly out curiously, he wandered over to the group silently, his presence completely hidden and stopped a few feet away from the woman, before revealing his presence again. "What kind of event is going on over here?" He asked the group, or more specifically the woman who seemed to be the boss, with a curious tone as he licked his ice cream. One could easily wonder how this seemingly harmless boy could easily sneak up on a group of pirates without so much as a hint of a sound or something that would give him away.

With lightning reflexes, she grabs the young boy by the shirt and lifts him off the ground. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here boys. Another little demon. How delightful. What's your name? And what is this place? I have never seen clothing like yours before, and I've taken prisoners of all kinds." She tilted her head slightly as she studied his appearance. She lowered him slowly, bu didn't release her grip. "Boys, get back to the ship. We're takin' this one to the ship. I need answers. If he doesn't come willingly, carry him. If that doesn't work, kill him. We can always go back the way we came." She sighed and let go of him before walking towards the water. As she stepped onto the water, parts froze under her feet and she walked back to her ship. She looked over her shoulder and was displeased to see the speed at which her crew was moving, so she decided they needed a reminder. A couple hundred feet from shore, she turns and bends down, dipping her hand into the water, She pulled out a long piece of ice, that was slender like a spear. With magnificent speed and accuracy, she threw the ice rod towards the shore, and nailed it into a tree, taking on of the men's hats with it. "Move! Now! I don't miss twice!" She turned back towards the ship and took off at a run. One of the sailors turned to the boy and said, "Good on ya. Now ya've made 'er mad, boy. We bess be goin'. I don' want that ice magic through my 'ead. Let's shove off. " He motions towards the long boats and waits for the boy.

Matt Alfen Despite being grabbed by the shirt, by his standards somewhat quick but not difficult to follow, he didn't change the curious look on his face as he was lifted from the ground. He tilted his head a bit and licked his ice cream as he listened to her speak. "I'm a human though?" He replied in a questioning tone as he tilted head the other way. He frowned lightly at her command of taking him to the ship, they were seriously going all out with this roleplaying. He was let down and watched silently as the woman walked towards the water, parts freezing when she walked in it. Because her comrades weren't moving fast enough, she created an ice spear and through it pretty great speed and accuracy, even he could feel impressed by that skill, but he was unmoved by it otherwise. The boy looked at one of the sailors who spoke to him and said that he should get into the boat. "Umm, I'm sorry, but I'm not into these kinds of plays." He stated to the sailor as he continued to eat his ice cream, but that kind of thing was a lie since a majority of his life was playing one role or another. "But, whatever. Let's go." He stated as he licked his ice cream, and he was curious about that really well made boat, so he walked over to the long boat and hopped in, though now he had a different flavor of ice cream in his hand, that he pulled out of his bag, as he had finished the first one, he knew he could easily kill them all if they were to try anything. If the sailors looked properly, they would notice that this boy showed no nervousness nor fear of them, even with what that woman did.
