The piece of paper that was sitting in front of him daunted him, in the fact that it would determine the course of his life. The application for the university of his choice (more like the university of his dreams) was staring blankly up at him, as he stared stressfully back at it. He had already toured Grendel, taking a day off from classes to explore the expansive grounds, marveling at the complex architecture. He checked out the dorms too, which he felt he could handle. He would probably end up in a unit without cooling, so he would have to invest in a cooling charm or something of the like. The crimson-eyed Litch also checked out the Divination classes, sat in briefly on a lecture, and peeked into the Greek Divination Society, Custodes Futuri, and decided that he wanted to live in the house after a year or two in the dorms.

Even though Joseth had been practicing and studying divination since he started his Junior studies, the Divination placement test still daunted him. He had been studying day and night for a solid week, living and breathing his textbooks and notes to the point where he had practically driven Burvia out until the exam was over. There was so much riding on this test, even though he had submitted his regular application several months ago. He was still nervous, as he walked into the test building on the campus that he hoped would be his future home, even though his Academy Professor had assured him that he was one of their brightest and most talented diviners. He could only hope his cramming would be enough.

The test was strenuous, challenging, and both physically and emotionally draining, but the final trial led him to divine his acceptance letter into the program, which caused him so much excitement and relief, that he wasted no time in sharing his good news with Burvia, whom he took out to dinner shortly afterward to celebrate.
