Goretti was out on Christmas break, so he was making the best of it. He had a mission, and he was going to try his hardest to stick to his goals. He already had a pre-New Years resolution: Get stronger.
Not that he knew how, especially when he was still afraid of the Negaverse and of actually fighting them, but he wasn't out for them. He was out for Senshi and Knights and all allies of Order, who might be able to actually help him. People who had gone through the ringer once or twice and knew how to get stronger.
He wanted to learn from them, no matter how hard he had to work for it. So he was out now, in the chill, not playing in the snow (well, okay, not playing much in the snow), looking for anyone who might be able to help him.
He felt the faint tingle on his radar—a senshi—and decided to seek it out. He hastened, not wanting to lose the energy signature. When he got closer, he was looking around rapidly and called out, "Hello? If you're a senshi, I just wanna talk to you for a minute! Please!"

Patrol was Elpis' nightly agenda for some time. Like tonight; the Super Senshi was roaming Destiny City, looking for trouble to stop or Chaos agents to observe, and she was admittedly quiet and in thought when the feeling of an aura began to draw near, and gave her pause to look, blinking at a voice calling. She wasn't sure if they were young, or sounded it, but her stomach seized at possibility of a chibi out, alone, and she turned towards the sound, blinking. Who was awakening KIDS? "Hello? I'm here. I can talk, it's alright." Elpis called back, making an effort to sound soothing. "I'm here. Are you alright?"

Goretti perked up immediately and headed towards the voice until he spotted the girl who had called back to him. "Oh—hey!" He seemed in a good mood. "I could feel you but I couldn’t see you. I'm totally fine, by the way. Not hurt at all, nothing's chasing me, no bad guys. But I felt another senshi and thought it would be smart to check it out. I mean, I'm trying to figure out how to get stronger."
He shrugged and crossed the remaining distance between the two of them. "Anyway, I'm Goretti. Senshi of Glue. Well, chibi senshi, but," he shrugged again. "Working on losing that part. I don't want to be a chibi anymore, I want to be strong."

Another Chibi. Elpis managed not to try to cuddle and guard him as best her ability, and nodded, reminding herself that chibis needed looking after too. "Sailor Elpis, Senshi of Metal." She introduced politely. "Ahh... I tend to lurk on patrol. Keep out of most people's sight." Elpis grinned awkwardly, before pausing, one brow raising. Stronger? Well. Hmmm. "What sort of things do you do now? Do you practice?" Well, it was a start.

"Metal?" he prompted. "That's a cool sphere. But-yeah, I practice. I mean, I power up a lot. I run around, I try to get stronger. I mean, I'm not really great with push ups, but I'm working on it. Drinking all my milk, you know."
He held up an arm and flexed as if proud of it. There was a small muscle—not really anything to be impressed with, so he looked at it as he flexed and just laughed. "Well. I'm trying to work on it. I use my magic a lot, to try and get better. But I usually just attack trees in the park to try and improve aim and figure out how to make it work. I thought if I was lucky it might be like, you know, use your attack x many times and you level up! But…I don't think it's really…like that."

Kyuseisha no Hikari ...oops Elpis made an unintentional joke. XD; "Well, practice helps you stay safer!" Elpis noted, inwardly trying not to panic. He was powered often?! What?! She wanted to freak out, admittedly, and hide him, but... That was fairly counter-productive, even if Kells would likely help her. She still worried about the number of chibis though- if she saw two, how many existed? She decided not to think further and instead focused on the topic at hand again, nodding. "I don't know details, but I had a period of a lot of live fighting." And a lot of corrupt senshi. That was horrifying. "So that might contribute - overcoming adversity. The cats might know, or might not. I don't think there's arbitrary guidelines though. It's not like you need x fights exactly. But it helps, and helps you learn the field, and it's what I think many senshi face. And perhaps you might want to look into patrolling for enemies. I'd take a partner though, for safety."

Goretti just laughed. "I can't find any cats! They are too sneaky. I wish they had a phone I could call, or a pager." He sighed, but it was a bit overdramatically. "So I'm just hoping I keep running into enough friendly senshi. Are you okay, though?"
He raised a brow and watched her. "I mean, I know that stuff. I upgraded once before. And I know about patrolling, and fighting youma and looking for enemies. I think I've been doing a good job of that. I've been doing this for like two…two and a half years now, or something. But I just—I plateau'd. I am doing all of the same things. I need more live fights. I need to make my magic stronger and make sure I know how to use it."
He was quiet for a second and then blurted, "Hey! Will you spar with me? Just real quick? Nothing serious, but maybe you could give me some pointers or let me know what I need to work on afterwards?"

He'd been at it longer than her!? Elpis managed to keep the shock and horror off her face and instead nodded. "Magic is pretty-" And then he asked to spar and Elpis' expression was one of surprise, and she nodded slowly. "Uhm, sure, we could if you like. I'll try to avoid my magic - it can hurt pretty bad - er, unless you want to see it, but like I said, it can hurt pretty bad..." The images of saving her own father from Coffinite danced in her head, the shrieking Lieutenant and his face, cut up some. Metal indeed. Her magic, she'd noted, was a proverbial frak bomb of sorts. Not great for practice.

Goretti debated for a moment and then nodded. "Yes, please! I mean—can I see what you can do? I'll show you mine, too. But mine," he shrugged. "It's cool, but it's not really dangerous. But I never get to see other senshi's magic! Oh—oh! Use it on that tree over there! The dead one!" he exclaimed, pointing eagerly.
"Then we can spar! I want to see how you fight! And see if you can give me some tips to pick up!"
He seemed excited and moved to stand behind her, head poking out as he watched the tree expectantly.

"Trees work." Elpis admitted, if shyly. It was less likely the boy would get hit by Shrapnel with a tree, and the senshi mentally appreciated his noticing it - it was lso a good sign. He was observant, which meant explaining how to use the area was that much easier. Taking opportunity? That could come later. The senshi took one step back further from the tree before raising her hand, watching the boy from the corner of her ee in case she needed to move to defend from wayward metal quickly (Could she move in time? She wasn't sure), and she held her hand out to begin her attack, the chunks of metal coming to her hand like a familiar friend, forming a clump in hand before she hurtled it at the tree. The metal shattered on impact, metal pieces flying everywhere as Elpis moved to make sure it couldn't hit Goretti. Luckily, it seemed more likely to be flying around her, and with the leather in her fuku, she doubted there was much risk of harm. Still, she wasn't sure. [spoiler Super Sailor Scout Attack: Steel Spray Surprise Sailor Elpis faces an opponent, summoning chunks of steel into her hands before throwing them at an opponent's feet where they burst apart into pieces of shrapnel. The chunks are sharp, and can cut through fabrics (Except for leather or denim or similar) and cut skin for a good deal of pain. Lasts 30 seconds before the steel disappears.

Goretti stared, eyes wide and in total awe. "Whaaaat!" he exclaimed, almost bouncing where he stood. "That is so neat! You must have no problem taking down bad guys! Like, holy cow! I wouldn't want to be your opponent! I'd see you and take off running!"
…And then he realized that might have sounded bad and he didn't want to seem like a coward, so he cleared his throat and feigned calm. "I mean, I wouldn't run. But I can see why they would have."
He combed his fingers through his hair and flipped it dramatically—and then was right back into the excited bouncing.
"—Oh! Let me show you mine! Please!! I want to use it on you, but I promise it won't hurt! But I need your opinion on something and you won't be able to answer until I can use the glue! Pretty please? It'll only be like, ten seconds!"
…Give or take. He'd never actually measured, but it always felt like his magic was there and gone in a flash.

"Helps when they don't. I saw it slash up a guy's face once." Elpis chuckled grimly. "Not seriously, but he wasn't happy." The senshi then nodded, standing attentively. "Feel free. After we work out your attack and working with it, we can try some basics. Sound good?" He was excited, and it was adorable. And Elpis didn't LIKE Chibis out, but... He was too adorable to deny.

Goretti's eyes lit up and he nodded. "That sounds great! Oh my gosh, holy cow, I can't believe you slashed up a guy's face. I hope he healed! But man, that sounds awful! No wonder you don't wanna use it. I bet you're great at dusting youmas."
He seemed pumped and was biting his lip, watching so intently that he almost wasn't even blinking. He was bouncing just slightly on his heels; his smile never left his face.

"Dusting I really don't mind doing." Elpis chuckled, and smiled at his enthusiasm, offering a bow. "It's technique. I also try being opportunistic. So... You ready? We can turn this into a lesson on when you have the advantage of surprising an opponent with your magic, if you like." Yes. She liked this one - he seemed sensible enough. That made her feel somewhat better.

Goretti blinked and seemed flustered; he nodded hastily, as if he'd been so distracted that he'd forgotten he was even going to show her his magic. "Okay! Hold on a sec," he requested, ran a few feet from her, and then drew in a breath. He pointed his finger and shouted, "Goretti Glue Pool*!"
It wasn't a particularly intimidating attack, but like the name suggested, a puddle of glue suddenly began to form underneath her feet. It was sticky immediately, and clung to both the ground and the feet of the senshi before him.
"Go ahead!" he encouraged after a few seconds. "Try to pull out of it! It's pretty strong. I mean, not enough to hurt someone, but that's okay! I don't like hurting people anyway, so it works for me!"NovaCracker Super Sailor Scout Attack: Goretti Glue Pool A puddle of glue roughly two feet wide sprouts from beneath the target's feet and remains for twenty five seconds. Up to two people can be targeted at once now; the target(s) will find it exceptionally difficult to ply their feet from the ground, and should they manage to free themselves from the glue puddle (as it can be done, more often than not by higher level characters) each following step will also be hindered by the clinging glue. After thirty seconds, the glue turns to dust and loses all of its sticky properties.
