8-Island (8アイランド Eito Airando) is a restaurant whose specialty is food prepared with Magic.

The restaurant is located in the port town Hargeon, which is located near Magnolia. Later, Yajima opened his second branch in the town of Magnolia itself.

The restaurant was founded by Yajima, a former member of the Magic Council. Yajima retired from the Magic council, after the events that transpired during the Tower of Heaven arc, when the Council launched Etherion to annihilate the Tower of Heaven, but it was revealed that the situation was manipulated into Jellal's favor, and Ultear Milkovich, who was then working for Jellal Fernandes, destroyed the Council headquarters with her Arc of Time Magic. Yajima occasionally contracts Mages to assist the restaurant as waiters/waitresses.

The food served in this restaurant is Magical in nature. Among other things on their menu, there are also:

• Holly Soda
• Beast Man Curry
• Ruby Parfaits

❖ Enduring a long and tiring job, Elfrieda Strauss had finally returned home after months of "roughing it" in the wilderness. She wasn't as battered and bruised as she was exhausted. "And that...is the last time I do that by myself..." she groaned, trudging back into her guild town. The way the woman staggered like she was about to collapse earned her a lot of concerned looks from people she passed. Truly she would, right in the middle of the street without warning. But that was when her saving grace popped into her line of sight. "8...8-Island!!!" Elfrieda gasped, eyes widening in awe. Her mouth agape, drool would escape as her appetite grew at the thought of food. Food not cooked on the fly, seasoned to perfection and cooked oh so tenderly. This is exactly what she needed to get her energy back! Still, she probably should have checked in with the guild before heading to the restaurant, but...

"CHOMP! CHOMP! OM NOM NOM!" the mage ate loudly, scarfing down dish after dish. How she loved to visit this restaurant and especially after a job, the food tasted even better! Despite her behavior, most customers didn't pay her any mind, at least the locals who had become accustomed to the mage's eating habits. And of course, her meal of choice was the Beast Man Curry- spicy and savory dish full of three meats, fresh vegetables and ripe, sweet apples, served on a bed of rice. It was her favorite order among the others and she literally could eat several bowls before getting full. As Frieda had finished her 18th serving, some alarming news had reached her ears. "I still get nervous going out in public. You think that Dark Guild is going to attack again?" "Here? Nah, no way!" "But it happened in Magnolia-" "You worry too much. Besides, Fairy Tail and Sabertooth got rid of 'em!" "I dunno..." the two men spoke in the booth in front of her. Quickly, the woman lunged out of her seat and butt into their conversation. "THEY DID WHAT?! WHAT HAPPENED?!" she inquired, startling them to the point they almost fell out of their seats. Having been out of the loop on what was going on in her absence, the news was a hard pill to swallow! Her friends were in danger and she was no where to be seen?! "ARRRGGGH! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! ....I gotta go!" Without pause, Elfrieda slammed the money for her meal on the table and took off running. Where exactly? To Sabertooth of course!!!
