This was it. She was determined to completely figure things out. Things about her own wand, things about the other wands she met, things about child rearing in general. The golden wand was held on her back in one of those baby-carrying objects she had requested from a mother who's child she babysat for. The wand wasn't as heavy as a child alone, but with it were placed a few books. She had been extra careful to make sure the draconic wand would not slip out.
The white wisp was winding itself around her hand every time she attempted to grab a book, making it harder on her part. She should have asked Patrick if his wisp was this grumpy. Airaka kept having to coo the wisp of her wand before she could take a look at a book. Right now, she was doing just that, whispering to the wand as she fingered a certain book which she believed had something to do with drow.
Airaka had never met the guardian of the drow wand, yet with Patrick's comments about her, she felt indulged to study what her wand possessed as well.

Lo and behold, the very folklorist Airaka was preparing for was on her way!

Okay, Neveah made it past the main room of the headquarters...now it was time to check out the library Ianna had told her about! She'd already taken every book out on the Drow that she could get her hands on from her work, plus from the local library...so naturally she wanted to see if there were anymore books on the Spider Worshippers in the Headquarters.

"Doot doot doot...I'm kidnapping every little piece of information I could get on you, yes I am yes I am!" Neveah said outloud, her finger brushing the purple wisp that seemed to cling to the wand that rested in the crook of her arm. In response, the wisp wiggled...but was otherwise fairly calm about being teased. Apparently, the butterfly woman didn't quite realize that there was someone else in the Library with her...because she just kept talking. "I bet they all say the same thing though, Spiderling...you're from a really, really hard race to study!" She seemed to be trying to get the wisp to understand that he was already difficult...but by the tone of her voice, she didn't seem to mind.

"And as long as no spiders come and inva---OH! Oh dear, you're so quiet I didn't know you were here! Uhm...Aheh...Hello." The wand was nearly dropped in surprise when Neveah rounded the corner to where the information on the dark elves would be, upon seeing the other woman there. Well, one things for sure, she was amazing at catching herself and acting as though nothing happened. Straightening herself and making sure the wand and wisp was secure in the crook of her left elbow, the butterfly extended her slightly elongated, but still slender right hand.

"Heh, Nice to meet you! I'm Neveah." Her smile and pose really did make her seem like she hadn't made a fool of herself...hurrah for quick recovery!

She had heard the butterfly-woman long before she saw her. Oddly enough, her first thought was that of an anti-social teenager, cursing the fact that now people always seemed to be lead straight to her. Her she realized how dense her comment sounded, she blushed, face turning nearly the same colour as her hair.
The wisp came off Airaka's arm simply, and floated curiously in the direction of the sound. Airaka's fingers coiled about the binding of the book, pushing it back into the shelf, in attempt to stop it's tumble. The wisp bumped against her shoulder blade, causing the woman to follow it with her body, turning to the opening between the shelves.
She was amazed by Nevah's different appearance, and the fact the woman had been surprised by her. At first she had thought the woman had been talking to some sort of animal, most likely a dog, but when her eyes caught the black glimmer off the wand, she quietly corrected herself.
'' Airaka. It's a pleasure.''
As she spoke in her reserved voice she took Nevah's hand in her own sun kissed one. Nevah, unlike Airaka, was very good at hiding her initial reaction, which Airaka made a quick note of, thinking herself lucky she had even caught that the woman was startled.

"Airaka...that's a pretty name." Neveah commented thoughtfully, shaking the woman's hand before retracting it to hang limply at her side. Her angled aqua-coloured eyes took a survey of the stacks around her...well there was Airaka...then there was books (which she was pleased to note that hey began with 'D', meaning she was in the right place), something gold that glittered from Airaka's back...and then, of course, a trace of a white wisp.

"Oh...another wisp! Aside from my spiderling, I haven't seen another wisp...I've seen a baby ghost and a real baby, but no wisp." The butterfly informed the red-headed woman with a smile, her gaze then shifting towards her own, slightly purple wisp. Unlike what happened with Kishi, the drow didn't seem at all tense or upset at who was around him. Did that mean the wisp in the room was male too? That's wonderful! Neveah would have to ask about that later.

"So...what brings you to the library?" A lame topic to choose, but relevant nonetheless!

Spiderling? Neveah had said it repeatedly, and yet Airaka still had no real idea of what she was talking about. Oh, she figured she was talking about the wisp, but she questioned of what the wisp was.
She gave Neveah a meek grin, attempting really hard to keep her eyes off the woman. Never had she seen anyone much like her. Airaka pondered on whether she was really all that sheltered. In a second, she had confused herself within psychology again, and shrugged it off.
'' I'm studying. I'm not one for mythology, so I thought I better touch up on some of the wands I've met or heard about so far.''
She fingered the book she had almost taken out of the self when Neveah had arrived, before her eyes flickered back to the woman opposite of her,
'' Someone has a drow wand. One of the reasons I'm in the 'D's'. The other is I'm also looking for something on dragons, as my wand is closely related to them... I'm pretty sure, at least.

Out of everything the butterfly woman heard, it was the word 'Drow' that caught her attention the most. This was due to several reasons...One! If you're studying, the library is he place to be. Two, If you're not one for Mythology, you end up at a library to learn about it. Three...this library probably had a lot of things specific to the existing wands, so it would naturally be the place to look. At Airaka's message of someone having a Drow wand, Neveah's expression could only be summarized by one thing; Blank Surprise.

"Drow wand? I have the Drow Wand..." Neveah informed the red-head, lightly moving the wand and the purple wisp into better view. Already her suspicions over people due to work paranoia clouded her mind; There were VERY few people that knew she had a drow wand, but really, Patrick wasn't the first person to come to mind. Even her expression proved to be suspicious over Airaka's motives. Automatically, Neveah assumed it was a new member of her company going to look for research on the Drow so she could watch the butterfly and the spiderling incase something happens that she didn't report. That had to be the case!

Then again, why would a co-worker also have a wand? Well, not like that came to mind. "...Why're you bothering to research Drow?" She couldn't help but ask.

''Oh... really?''
So then this was the folklorist Patrick had spoken of. Which made Airaka doubt the Neveah ever so slightly. Why would someone who, Airaka believed, knew much more about everything these wands had to do with need to be in a library? They could easily be shouting out their knowledge to everyone in the lobby.
'' I'm trying to get to know all of the wands 'species, as one could call them. That way, I may be able to guess their general personality, appearance, magical powers, and other stuff. I just want to be prepared for the future.''
Airaka had a bit heavier breath after her hearted statement, but managed to grin at Neveah. She pondered on what she might have said to get that mistrustful look from the anthropomorphic butterfly woman.

"Yeah, really...The Drow are a pain in the butt to get information on, so you might end up reading a lot of the same information over and over again." Neveah continued, feeling the need to inform this co-worker in disguise about this one little problem when it came to gathering things on the dark elves. For one reason or another, the butterfly calmed down in regards to being suspicious of Airaka...Philos wouldn't waste his time sending out spies now...but once the wisp solidifies...well..maybe.

"I think thats cheating!" She then went on to say, looking more than a little childish. "Its way more fun to go out and experience what things can do, rather than sitting cooped up and reading about what they can do!" Unless they're Drow. In which case you have to know everything about them to avoid a poison arrow in your throat.

"If you don't mind my asking, do you know what kind of Dragon your wand is? There are different species, you know.." Almost as many different ones as there were different races of humans, actually!

Her antennae then twitched as Malen and Kishi made their presence known. Naturally, her Aqua eyes rolled. "I don't believe in Drow artifacts...either they raided an abandoned city and got very, very lucky, or its a fake. From what we've been able to tell, any abaondoned city has been burned to the ground to prevent any other houses from getting their artifacts." Aparently, Neveah was very adamant about most Drow things being fake...which was true, considering she'd seen enough fake artifacts to make even a braindead vegetable cry.

"But anyway, Hello again."

Airaka attempted to hide a wince when Malen made his appearance, though her concentration was brought back to Neveah's statement about cheating. She almost crossed her arms but quickly stopped herself, deciding she would rather keep this conversation as comfortable as possible instead of getting all stubborn over her idea's like she had done with Malen.
'' I don't think studying before a drivers test is cheating,'' she muttered under her breath, using a simile to express her views.
Her voice became normal, for Airaka that is, as she answered that common question, with a nod of her head,
''Wyvern.''
She gave them both a bit of a warm grin before her eyes reverted to Kishi near the floor, then back to Malen, to whom she raised an eyebrow.
''Depends on what you classify as a handbook.''
Airaka had felt a need to argue with him on the matter, most likely because of her slight dislike for him, but she honestly had placed no thoughts on the matter.

Busy busy busy.
Somehow, when he wanted peace and quiet, so many people seemed to turn up at once...

Cradling the insubstantial wispy babe in one arm, Daniel peered around the corner as he heard voices, coming from a room he had not visited before. Pale eyes narrowed behind the glasses, and he blinked. Not any of them he recognised, either. Again? He thought he might run into a few familiar faces at least sometimes...

In the crook of his elbow, Bennu made a soft sound that must have been a giggle, smokey hands clapping together slightly. This new form bemused Daniel greatly; so close to being a true child, but still, if you were not carefully, you risked putting a hand through him when you comforted him.

"Shush, shush Ben," he murmured awkwardly, before straightening his shoulders and attempting to stand normally. Perhaps it was the surroundings of the books, reminding him of his childhood home, that made him stand a little more arrogantly, his laconic smile fixed upon the thinly, almost invisibly scarred face.

Neveah made a lighthearted giggle. "I think species and drivers tests are two very different things, but I do have to admit you make a point." Not to mention that she too did a bit of research on a Wand-child...but thats an exception! She was asked to do it! Ha. "Wyvern, huh? From what I recall, they're very, very beautiful." Well, most dragons were...but the Wyvern, for some reason, stuck out in her mind. "Congrats!" Neveah wasn't an expert on races...she was more of a ritual folklorist, but she did know enough about several races and gods to get away with things.

"Then she mustn't have a lot of them." The butterfly smiled. She took no offense to what Malen was saying, its just that she didn't believe it herself. She'd have to see it first! "How is Kishi doing, anyway?" She questioned, getting everybody off the topics that seemed to irritate them.

Her antennae twitched as she heard not only the retreated footsteps, but the crashing of the lamp, the yell, and then the sudden silence that followed. "Excuse me a moment, I think we have company!" She apologized to Airaka and Malen, before turning with her Drow wand and silently moving towards the crash. The man on the floor was definately something she wasn't expecting. Blinking her angled aqua eyes in curiousity, the anthropomorphic butterfly tilted her head to the side, placing her knuckles on her hips. "Why're you trying to run away? Did you steal something?" Really, that was the only reason the butterfly could give as to why he would have run away from them. Fluttering her black-lined blue wings, she reached down and helped the man to his feet, dusting him off with a friendly smile. "No need to run, nobody bites yet." Neveah giggled then, her antennae twitching happily.

"Oh wow, a lot of people playing sneaky today..." She breathed out absently. First Airaka had unintentionally scared her, then Malen came out of nowhere, the man on the floor crashed into the lamp and now this other man with a baby ghost in his arms too. "I think it'd be more fun if we all sat down together, couldn't it? No hiding from anyone?" She offered with a thin chuckle, motioning towards Airaka and Malen, her angled gaze shifting from both new men.

The wisp meanwhile, merely floated just behind Neveah's shoulder almost uncertainly. The wand was being moved around, so its not like it could really cling to that...so his Matron's shoulder would be the next best thing!

As she went to nod her head at Neveah, she gave off a slight squeak at the sound of the crashing lamp. Her hand flew to her mouth, and her cheeks flamed up once again, as she bounced from on foot to the other trying to calm herself down. When she lowered her hand, she flashed Malen a weak grin, before moving out toward the others at Neveah's command.
She bowed her head at the two new comers, acknowledging that one had a baby ghost much like Kishi, but different, whilst the other seemed to own none. A new thought popped in her head, pondering on whether people without wands could come into the headquarters, when she reminded herself that Darius had done just that. Then again, Darius may have been a special coincidence.
Airaka hadn't found herself being sneaky in anyway, so she just sort of ignored Neveah's comment.
'' Hello, both of you. I am Airaka. This is Neveah and this is Malen.'' she said, with a motion to both in turn.
Her white wisp had coiled it's self about Airaka's wand when she had freaked out, and was now floating by Airaka's left ear.
Airaka's sapphire eyes were mostly focused on the man who had knocked the lamp over, her face still bright. She found him the most intriguing of the two. That, and she was silently cursing him for shocking and embarrassing her so.
