I have noticed that during my few trips to the church recently I could hear a beautiful chior singing but no Band. This has bothered me some what as there needs to be a ballance in the musical world so I now have started a band.
Current Band members:
Conductor: Me
Wood Winds: Katane: Clarinet
Brass:
Percussion: Shinji: Generic percussion preferably bells
String:
May the Mods bless our music

I would love to play clarinet for your band. I am so glad someone has finally started this! Now I can use my musical talents to praise mod just like the singers. 3nodding

Katane I wondered if there were any other bandies here. I knew that Shinji and myself were so I figured what the heck. There might be others. So praise mod with your music as well!
now if only there was a way to get musical notes to show here, then we'd be able to show our music....
Shinji: fine.. as long as you spend as much time with us as you do with them. You know how picky chior people can be.

I am fiercely loyal to band. 3nodding And I need the practice, because next year all our seniors will be gone, and I will be the new 1st chair clarinet! heart I'm scared and excited at the same time..... I suppose we could scan music, couldn't we? Except we might have to worry about copywrite laws, but if it was original music, we would be okay.

Oooh! Scanning music is a good idea! I like it! I know that there are some people in chiors that sctually read music. Thats the only problem I have with most singers. They go too much by ear and dont really know the music...
Katane I was the only senior flute last year and I had only been seriously playing for a year and a half. I was treated like a freshmen... crying Oh well. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Shinji-Katawane Oooh! Scanning music is a good idea! I like it! I know that there are some people in chiors that sctually read music. Thats the only problem I have with most singers. They go too much by ear and dont really know the music... Actually, I have that same problem with my instrument. I can read music okay, but when you get into complicated melodies with 8th and 16th notes, I learn better by ear. I have to work on that. Shinji-Katawane Katane I was the only senior flute last year and I had only been seriously playing for a year and a half. I was treated like a freshmen... crying Oh well. I'm sure you'll do fine. Luckily I've been playing for quite awhile, so I have the experience to back it up. But I'm still a bit worried. I'm a decent player, but the current 1st clarinet is so good she could go professional if she wanted to (she's even had offers). It's going to be hard to live up to.
