■ ADVENTUROUS She loves a good adventure. Anything crazy or fun sounding, she is totally up for. She never turns down an opportunity and every day is just a new strange adventure to follow. She likes to live life to its fullest, since every day could easily be her last. Especially with her luck.
■ BRAVE It takes a certain kind of person to wake up every day knowing that the day is going to pain filled and foggy. Yet everyday she gets up, puts a smile on her face, and faces it like a new battle. Her life is a battle field but she isn't afraid of it. She'd rather deal with the pain and have a new adventure than just lie in bed and wait to die. Nothing is more terrifying that battling with her own mind and body everyday but she refuses to be scared of it.
■ DELICATE She is delicate in many senses. Her body is fragile and easily breaks and scars and bruises. Her skin can rip at the lightest of grips and her a poke can leave a bruise. But she is also delicate inside her own mind. Fighting her own body every day leaves her mind a wreck but she never shows it. She's depressed and angry and anxious inside but she hides it well and fights it all by herself.
■ LOYAL She would never leave a friend behind. She knows what its like to be the one left behind while everyone goes to do something fun. And she would never do it to someone else. She would never forget a friend or not invite someone just because she doesn't think they'd want to to do it. She leaves that decision up to them. She would fight for her friends to the very end. She protects them with her entire being and never backs down just because someone threatens to hurt her. Her friends and family are the most important things in her life.

CHILDHOOD She was never a very healthy child. She was born prematurely and spent the first few weeks of life in the ICU at the hospital. When she was 5 she got chicken pox because some idiot hadn't vaccinated their child and her compromised immune system wasn't strong enough to fight it off. When she finally healed from the chicken pox, she found her entire body to hurt. Her legs were the worst though. Her parents dragged her from one doctor to the next and from specialist to specialist until they finally got a diagnosis. She was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). A connective tissue disorder that caused severe chronic pain and affected her joints and skin and parts of her internal organ systems. As the years progressed she was moved from braces to crutches and a wheelchair. She mostly uses crutches to keep her muscles from atrophying but uses her wheelchair for long trips where she will have to walk a lot. Her legs are where most of her pain centralizes and where most of her dislocations happen. At the age of 7 she was also diagnosed with Post Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), which is known to come along with EDS often. It affects her heart and blood pressure making it hard to stay upright for long periods of time and causes her to pass out often. Although for most these conditions for make her hate her own life, she tends to live as happy as she can and live life to the fullest. She doesn't let anything hold her back. She has always had weird things going on around her. When she was 7, she started falling down the stairs but instead of breaking bones, she bounced off the ground and landed safely without any injuries. When she was 8 her wheelchair slid across a patch of ice and sent her hurtling towards a busy road. But instead of crashing into cars and dying her wheelchair floated safely over them and landed her on the other side of the street. When she turned 11, she received a letter that told her why these occurrences happened. She was a witch! And she'd been invited to attend a school called Hogwarts! Her parents were worried for her safety and at first told her no, but she begged and begged them, and they could tell how happy it would make her so they finally agreed and read through the letter. They of course became confused over the list of supplies having no idea where to get them. Thankfully a man came to their house. His name was Deveron and he was.... short. He called himself a Hogwarts School Governor and took her shopping for her supplies and told her how to get onto the platform and how to get to school and everything else she needed to know.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR She met Sebastian and Balder at Diagon and they became immediate best friends... OBVIOUSLY. At Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor along with Bastian, and Balder was sorted into Hufflepuff. They also made friends with Aria at the sorting feast, and Ahnna later on in the year. Aleah decided to join quidditch next year and is excited to find a custom broom with Bas' help.
SECOND YEAR In her second year she tried out for Quidditch and got the reserve spot! She knew Ivy would graduate in a couple years and hoped to get the starting position when she did. Besides that the year was pretty uneventful, but she got to sign up for electives at the end of the year! And this was the summer she'd be bringing home her puppy and getting it trained with the help of her official trainer person! She was so excited about that. She'd finally be mostly crutch free! Except on bad days of course.
THIRD YEAR To say third year sucked... was an understatement. It felt like the only good thing that happened that year was teh summer before the year even started. She got her adorable pup Kronos, and was finally down to using just a cane. BUT she was ignored and left alone on the train by the people she thought were her friends, and then betrayed by her entire quidditch team and kicked off... all because they thought they knew her abilities better than she did. If she thought it was dangerous to play she wouldn't play. But whatever. They could screw off. Everyone could screw off. Beside Bas she supposed... he was still nice to her even when he was distracted by other crap.
FOURTH YEAR Part of the year was spent finding out Bas thought she was mad at him which was ridiculous and silly but she supposed she had forgotten to tell him that she wasn't mad at him anymore so that was partly on her. They were all good now but something weird was going on with Balder's cousin which took up a bunch of time on Bas' end and she didn't know what to do to help. She hoped she could help in some way though.
FIFTH YEAR Aleah's fifth year was interesting to say the least. She'd finally just given up waiting and gone and kissed Bas... which had eventually ended in them getting together. Finally! After he got over his blue screen of death mode over the kiss. Beyond that she had studied for OWLs and planned her future. They had also gone a fun beach date with a bunch of their friends over summer which she had enjoyed majorly.
SIXTH YEAR As always her sixth year was spent with Bas and Balder and the rest of their friends. She'd accidentally told Bas she loved him... which of course resulted in more blue screen of death. He was lucky she thought that was adorable. Balder went cray cray and proposed to Kiki. Aleah didn't understand why he couldn't just wait til after they graduated! Whats the rush? Of course... if Bas had proposed to her she would have said yet, but that didn't mean it wasn't still crazy.
SEVENTH YEAR Aleah had enjoyed Seventh year immensly, but she was glad to be leaving. She was very excited to apply for an apprenticeship with Sebastian's uncle Damien. She couldn't wait to start learning the trade.

■ QUIET Joslyn is quiet and sweet. She never makes much noise if any at all. Her parents have called her 'their little ninja' since the day she was born. Even as a small baby she rarely cried or made much noise at all.
■ SOFTSPOKEN Joslyn is soft spoken... in the worst of ways. She doesn't speak loudly of course but only because she doesn't have too. She can use quiet seemingly gentle words to snipe into everyone's hearts in the worst of ways. She doesn't speak loudly or harshly because she realizes soft attacks hurt more.
■ SNEAKY Joslyn is sneaky. She has always gotten into things she isn't supposed too, and gotten ahold of things she shouldn't. She likes to hide things in her room where her parents can't find them, and is the first person to sneak a cookie from the jar when no one is looking. She rarely gets caught too.
■ CONNIVING She is conniving. Joslyn likes to get into trouble and finds it is one of the few ways she can get her parents attention when they are all so obsessed with Aleah's health crap whatever. It only gets worse as she gets older. She is good about it too, only gets caught when she wants too and always able to twirl her way out of trouble once caught. She is the perfect little monster.
■ LONELY Above all, Joslyn is lonely. She does not thrive in social settings and she fails to make friends easily. She doesn't know how to connect to others well and she doesn't like to talk to people. But that leads to a rather lonely life... especially when her family is far more concerned with her sister being hurt or needing new meds or whatever else she needs.
■ ADORABLE Normally this is not a personality trait. But for Joslyn it is. Joslyn uses her cuteness to get what she wants. A bat of her eyelashes or a twirl of her hair and a giggle and she can get practically anything from any adult around.

CHILDHOOD Joslyn was born to her loving parents in April and was immediately loved upon and doted on. But then her sister came home from school and the attention faded as they went about their doctor's appointments and therapies and groups and Joslyn though little began to see a pattern of what her sister being around meant.
