It was rare that her family had a party, but considering how many her mother had been attending it was only a matter of time before she organized one of her own. Karothdra briefly entertained the idea that her mother was doing it for her, but she had seen her speaking to a few higher ups once in a while and figured she was doing it for her father. There was no other reason or that woman to be doing such things, Karothdra wished she would be able to do the same but she wasn’t quite there yet. She needed more rank.

With the preparations done and the guests coming in, Karothdra was left with moving from group to group of nobles mingling with them until her mother had finished greeting everyone. She didn’t dislike the job she’d been given, but she certainly didn’t enjoy it either. Having to know the names of everyone was quite the task in itself; thankfully she had her younger siblings to help out with that. Once she had spotted her mother however, Karothdra had quickly and quietly moved away from the main gathering to the silence of the study.

“By the gods I hate these things.” She said allowed before dowing her drink.
