It had taken Malcolm a long time of thinking to get over the fact that this was not some fantasy. It wasn't a dream, it was real. But, it didn't feel real.
So he had gone out to make it real.
Or, at least, understand how real it was.
Powering up had been a strange sensation; it felt like little bubbles dancing over his skin and he had been downright embarrassed of his clothes. It wasn't that they were unattractive, but Malcolm wasn't used to wearing this much color or showing off that much skin.
…But it was easy to remember that when he was like this, he wasn't Malcolm, he was Adria. And nobody was going to know it was him in this costume.
The thought brought him a little relief and gave him the courage to actually go outside wearing this instead of just stare in a mirror and examine it.
Destiny City looked different—felt different—while he was like this. Everything seemed so much more alive, and he could feel currents of energy. Things that felt good, and things that felt weird. He didn't know the difference, but he could tell that there was one.
…Even if he still wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to be doing, he was going to try.
He started off on the rooftops—high above everyone where he figured no one would be looking for him. It gave him the advantage of trying to keep up with what was going on down below. Adria wasn't sure if he was going to try and do anything tonight, but he was at least going to try and get used to calling himself Adria—and going out wearing this.

Cavansite was in a real bind. She had broken her weapon on that damn squire’s head not too long ago…and she hadn’t wanted to tell any of her superiors about it…she didn’t want to be yelled at, not when she felt she was doing so good at her job…so she had snapped her weapon in half…it wasn’t anything that some good duct tape couldn’t fix, right? Sure she hadn’t looked at the cheap little fairy wand lately…but it was broken, that was all there was to it. And when something was broken…it didn’t just magically get fixed…this wasn’t some fantasy world where things fixed themselves. No, she would have to tell Painite eventually and see if they could go about getting her a replacement weapon to fight with…
Oh well.
The lieutenant let out a sigh and paused, grinning. Well. Hopefully this senshi that was drawing near wouldn’t need her to use her weapon on him…hopefully she could get her fun out of fists and words…yeah. That was all she needed anyway. Fists and words.
She made her way towards where she felt the senshi at and peered down from a rooftop. Oh boy. This was a special looking costume. “What the hell happened to you? Did you get your outfit there from the reject bargain bin? You are the most clashing guy I think I have ever seen. What are you supposed to be, the senshi of bad outfits?”
Cavansite would never admit it…but she was secretly fond of the colors of the senshi’s outfits. They were quite rich and lovely. But…it didn’t go with her whole evil persona to give compliments.

Adria blinked and then flushed, moving his hands like that would do anything to conceal his costume. He didn't know who or what this lady was, but it couldn’t have been anything good.
At least, she didn't feel good. Not safe, like the others he'd met had.
"S-Sunsets, actually," he replied, before he could even think about what he was saying. Of course that hadn't been a real question; she was making fun of him. He wasn't stupid.
…But he probably looked the part, now.
There wasn't really any recovering from that, so he figured it was probably a good time to just make his leave. "…I've clearly made the mistake of wandering somewhere I wasn't mean to be. I have no issue with taking my leave now. Sorry for bothering you."
…Strange girl with bad manners who was making him feel even more self conscious about his outfit.
Leaving was absolutely not a problem for him; he didn't have any drive to stand and defend himself. He'd run away from more bullies than he could remember, and now that she'd gone and said that all he could think of was powering down and not ever putting this on again. He hastily started walking away from her, eager to avoid her words—and the uncomfortable tingling sensation she put on his radar.

“Sunsets, really? How…poetic.” Cavansite grinned, folding her arms and laughing loudly. “Well, little sunset, I don’t think you should go yet…maybe I’ll be the one to make the sun set for you. Forever.” Almost without thinking, the lieutenant summoned her weapon and paused, looking at it, slightly stunned.
It wasn’t broken anymore. Her fairy wand was back to normal…it was like nothing had even happened to it…
She brought the wand to eye level, running her slightly frozen fingers over it, a smile growing slowly over her face. She had her weapon back. Sure it wasn’t a good weapon…but it was still hers. It was her trump card…she could bop ‘til he dropped…and that was exactly what she wanted to do.
“I think it’s your lucky day, sunny boy. You see, I broke my wand on the head of someone from your side of this a while ago…and I thought it was broken. Because it had broken, clean in two. But.” Cavansite held the wand up, waving it at Adria for a moment, the grin on her face inching towards madness. “But now it’s back to normal. Back to the lovely fairy wand it had been before that idiot of a knight’s heard head broke it.”
It happened without warning. First she was talking, and the next moment she was lunging at him, ready to smack the heck out of his head, just as she had done for Hyperborea.
Hopefully he couldn’t make her have pain on contact though. That’s what she hoped.

Adria let out a squeak of surprise and jerked back immediately; he hadn't been in a real fight before, and suddenly he was worried that this was all too much for him. He wasn't out for blood—he wanted to go back to talking, but instead his blood had run cold and he found himself surprisingly empty headed.
"No, no," he hastily said, "Please, none of that, I really don't—please don't make me, I don't want to hurt you and I don't want to fight!"
He didn't know how today was his lucky day when she had madness sand murder written across her face. He knew he had a magic attack, but he couldn’t even think about how to summon it; his only defense was to try and move out of her way, but she just seemed so fast…

This. This was how they were supposed to be. Afraid, worried. The negaverse were supposed to be the ones in control. Powerful.
Unstoppable.
“Please noooo” Cavansite mocked, laughing and whapping him hard with the wand. “How about I make it quick, then? How about I just end it now, would that make you happier?”
Her free hand slid right into his chest, her fingers curling around the warm gem that was his starseed.
She would have a treasure from tonight, that was for sure.
Cavansite was so distracted, so delighted with her own amazing powers of…awesomeness, she didn’t even realize that another senshi had come onto the scene, at least she didn’t notice until a hand was colliding with the back of her head, causing her to lunge forward, her head knocking against Adria’s.
“What the—“
Sailor Lysithea was shaking her hand, wishing she had been able to punch just a big harder, but at least she had gotten her point across. Hopefully that, and the fact she was stronger would get the lieutenant at least a little scared. She wanted her to leave…she was pretty useless in a fight, but she was stronger…and that mattered, right?
“Get lost, Nega. Unless you want more fists in your body.” …So maybe that wasn’t the right thing to say, but it seemed to do the trick, at least.
Cavansite glowered at the new arrival, removing her hand from Adria’s chest and rubbing her forehead…her whole head, really. That had hurt.
Without a word, the lieutenant ran. She couldn’t handle two senshi…not at once.
Not yet.
Lysithea nodded, rather smug. “Well…that went better than expected…” She looked over at the basic senshi that had been under attack from the crazy lieutenant. “Are you okay? Did she hurt you? Can you talk to me?”

Adria didn't quite know what was going on. His head hurt, his chest hurt, his blood, pulsing in his veins, hurt. All he knew was that one minute there was a Chaos signature, and then there was more and…it was so muddled.
He wound up on the ground somehow, curled into himself and clutching at his head. He nodded weakly, but wasn't sure which question he was answering.
He was maybe okay, yes he was hurt, could he talk? …He could try, but when he opened his mouth there was a shaky groan.
…God, this was so embarrassing.
"I'm sorry," he blurted, like this was all his fault.
He'd have been dead if this senshi hadn't showed up, and he knew that.
And it was hitting him, hard.
He wasn't crying, but his eyes were squeezed shut and he was holding his head like it was about to fall off.
"She just came at me so fast." His voice sounded a little slurred, and his ears were ringing. "Th-thank you. I'm sorry," he mumbled, a bit weaker.

Lysithea dropped to her knees beside the senshi, wrapping him in her arms for a moment. “You’re going to be okay. I’m here. Nobody’s going to get you now.” Her voice held worry, she didn’t like the fact that she had only gotten here at the very last moment…in fact, as the weight of what she had just done came upon her she trembled slightly and reached up to touch the senshi’s head gently. “Are you okay? That headbutt sounded like it hurt quite a bit…I can help though!”
She closed her eyes for a moment, murmuring, “Lysithea healing horn!” The super senshi opened her eyes as she held the energy horn right at Adria’s head, hoping that it would help heal the ache in it…it worked on cuts, so why not pain? It was still an injury…
If only she could heal hearts and emotions too, wouldn’t that be the best?
“You’re going to be okay. I’m Super Sailor Lysithea, and I’m the senshi of unicorns! It’s very nice to meet you, though I wish it had been in a different circumstance…”

The male was quiet for a moment and then slowly nodded; his head had stopped throbbing, but after a moment he was able to open his eyes. "…I'm really glad you happened to come around when you did," he said softly, though his voice sounded loud in his ears.
"…It's nice to meet you, Lysithea. I'm Adria. Sunsets," he introduced, short and tired. "Different Circumstances would have been really ideal."
He could have sworn he felt the faintest tingle of a headache creeping back upon him, but it might have just been stress, or in his head. He wanted to go home.
"I really, really don't want to get up," he confessed after a moment. "But if it isn't too much to ask for, do you think you could help me up? I don't want to be out any more tonight. I don't want her to come back with friends. I don't…"
…Didn't want to be anywhere but home, but didn't at all want to be alone.
Not when he could barely understand what had just happened. Even now, everything just seemed a blur. He only remembered pain—and that twisted smile.

Lysithea nodded, seeming pleased her attack had done something…there was always that little bit of pride she felt when she was able to do something…it really gave her the validation that she was on the right side of all of this…and she liked that. She really did like it a lot. “If you want to sit here for a few minutes and talk, that’s okay. I can walk you home after, if you’d like, to make sure you’re safe.”
Sunsets, hm? What an interesting sphere to have…thought it seemed kind of vague. She sat for a moment, watching him and finally sighed. “It’s scary, isn’t it? The power that they can have? The things that they can do…and sometimes you just freeze, it’s awful. Like, like me I can’t really even do much to defend myself…I have healing magic…so I mean, I’m useful, I guess…just not to defend myself…and I can’t heal myself either, so that’s kind of awful…”
She sighed once again and stood up, stretching and holding out a hand for Adria. “Come on then, let’s head out…why don’t we power down to get you home…that way nobody will be able to follow us with our auras.”
With a moment of silence, Lysithea powered down into Cambria, smiling gently. “My real name is Cambria, it’s nice to meet you.”
