
Ahh thunder. What once used to scare him shitless and sending him into a state of panic to find shelter as soon possible, is now nothing more than an ordinary event from mother nature. With time, it shall pass. He knows that quite well now.
The buck laid in his cave, leaning against the cool dry side of the wall and watched the rain fall. It would suck for any kin to be still out there. Unless they preferred the rain, and shitty weather, of course.
Jolts of lightning fluttered through the sky and Never Sleeps could see it flash brightly in the distance, lighting up specific areas here and there.
He had no children or a partner to look after so he hummed silently inside his cave, worries free and content with the little mountain of berries he had gathered throughout the season. At least today he wouldn't have to sleep on an empty stomach.
