════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════Link was an adventurer--is--and as such he really wouldn't be doing any justice to his kind, his wandering soul couldn't be at ease, unless he traveled far and wide with no real direction or sense of sequence. Let me just paint for you, if you're willing to be droned and waved into a hypnopompic state for a while, the journey Link took on this particular day. First he went across the bridge to Eldin, coming across many Goron-owned mines, to a spring to drink, then he dipped down to Faron, testing out his parkour on sturdy branches, then up all the way past Castle Town on horseback, picking off Keese as he went, to the Gerudo Desert--THE EXACT PLACE HE STARTED. From there he decided to d**k around and go south, finding the rockier areas weren't as easily traversed but, as it was, found that to yield more intriguing nooks and things and whatever to explore. And explore he did, hand-camping descents and climbs until he'd found a cave which looked untouched as far as he could tell. Sword ready, he entered slowly. Down he went, further, deeper, until he started to see a strange phosphorescent glow.

╚══════════════╝ Lanryu's Spring, home and sanctuary of Nyx Gaiham. Her time spent in Desert Colossus was total waste and she needed to come back here for private meditation and reflect on what she must do. Over and over again she has been told to keep watch for the Hero. She was never told who this Hero is so how is she suppose to know how to find him? The fairies always told her that when the time comes, she will know but that is very vague. And now she is a Great Fairy who has been imparted with great power, but wisdom has not come yet. During her meditation, her aura became visible to the point that it glowed a rippling dark purple color, an aura that maintained itself as she awaken from meditation upon sensing a new presence approaching her spring. Who could have found this place? This should have been secret to all except for fairies and this presence was not that of a fairy. Could it be...the Hero? Its possible but she couldn't know for sure...at least not yet. The whole time she had been levitating even during meditation so she set herself back on the ground and waited for the mysterious stranger to meet her. When he came in, she stared at him in both awe and puzzlement, trying to figure out who he is without speaking but she couldn't tell. "...Who are you? How did you find this place?"

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════Link couldn't decide which surprised him more: the fact he'd found such a place; complete with ethereal glow which screamed "this place is important!"; or that the only one there was this rather pretty girl. He took a couple steps back, shaking his head a little to reset his bearings--or something. Now thinking about the question, Link, perhaps speechless with embarrassment and bewilderment, simply presented the majestic Fairy with his Hylian shield and showed her his rough, torn hands. He smiled goofily as he offered this evidence as explanation.

╚══════════════╝ The man clad in green seemed taken aback by Nyx's presence. Its understandable given her status and power as a Great Fairy but she still need to know how he managed to find a place that no one should have been able to find except for fairies. She paid attention to his gestures when he started showing off his shield and his hands. She can tell that the shield is Hylian based on the markings and craftsmanship. As for his hands, they are the hands of a true adventurer and hands. And then there was his smile. A light hearted individual, not the kind who seeks treasure or power. He is merely an adventurer...what a nice person to meet. However she can't help but wonder how he find a place that can't normally be found by creatures other than fairies. "...Are you a hero? I am the Great Fairy Nyx. For you to find this place is extraordinary. Should you desire, I can aide you on your heroic quest."

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════Link glanced to the side briefly; the role of a Hero was something he didn't much have to think about; and so it went that he treated this meeting much like the publicity events Castle Town had him at. An eager nod and a smile that screamed "I've never been in battle before" was the form it took, but the brave one would try not to think of how he was unconsciously stepping back.
The offer the mystical girl made to him was another surprise on top of all he'd seen so far. There was no quest... Link could only itch the back of his head in embarrassment, not looking her in the eye.

╚══════════════╝ Another strange response from the Hylian clad in green. Is he the hero that the fairies told her to keep an eye out for? He certainly doesn't present himself as some kind of hero. An adventurer for sure but he made himself appear as if he never been in battle in all his life so far. On top of that, what she said to him before seem to taken him by surprise and looked embarrassed. Did she make a mistake? She is new to being a Great Fairy so she is bound to make many mistakes starting out but she had hoped that finding a false Hero wouldn't be one of them. Still, its not doing her any good to remain her own spring waiting eternally. Stepping out of her spring, she approached the Hylian until she was only about a foot away from him. Well he is definitely taller than she thought he was. Trying to look at him eye to eye, she said to him, "You don't seem evil. Maybe you're not the hero I'm looking for, but you did find this place. Perhaps you can guide to me the hero I seek given your thirst for adventure and luck in finding what is not meant to be found."

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════(friendly nudge yum_puddi ) Link furrowed his brow a little in a confused look as he tried to understand what the Fairy's words meant, what they implied. He eventually gave up trying to understand it directly and decided he would smile and simply go with it; all of it led him to a grander adventure anyway, so he was happy he'd come here. He looked at his hands briefly before nodding eagerly and clenching his fists in a victorious pose. But even that broke down to a puzzled look again as he wondered what the Hero looked like. Perhaps Nyx would describe it? No, that seemed unlikely... Or would she? (lol)

╚══════════════╝ It doesn't appear that Nyx will have to argue with Link to join him on his adventure despite not knowing what is end goal is or if he even has one. He looks like the kind who is having an adventure for the sake of adventuring. No other goals in mind, no treasures to claim, not even obtaining greater power. Communicating with him will definitely be tricky since he only speaks through gestures and facial expressions rather than actual words but he seems to understand her and she managing to understand the gestures and expressions thus far. Since she has no clue who the Hero is or where to head to next, she figured it was best that Link would lead the way since an adventurer like him will likely lead them somewhere that will give her clues to who the Hero is. "Are you ready to leave um...I'm sorry, I don't know your name. If you're ready to leave, go ahead and lead the way to wherever you want to go next."

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════Link couldn't help feeling a little awkward, forgetting to introduce himself and all. I mean, it wasn't like he was mute or somethin'! Boy felt rude, unupstanding even as he stood before the mystical being with eyes amist by murky darkness and merry nymphs playing in the... Mist? In any event, Link was gong to right this little wrong--and I do mean little--by whispering in Nyx's ear his name. See, his parents had always told not to speak unless absolutely necessary. His father also was something of an avid nomenclaturalist. These two combined in Link to form the unearthly child that was: "Don't ever let too many people hear your name at once!" ... That's the story, and we shall stick to it.
After this it was time to start out on the most epic of journeys: out of this labyrinth! But of course not before taking one of the fairies with him in a bottle! Those were so handy it wasn't funny. And speaking of not funny, Link's smile dropped as he realised he should probably ask if he could take such a creature from its home. He appealed to Nyx on the issue before setting out.
