What if there was a roleplay where each character only found themselves available to participate with everyone when they were asleep at night?

I had an idea of an academy that specified in teaching students only during the hours of 9 PM to about 6 AM. Within that period, students from all over the world could drift off into this world and find themselves learning about something magical within them.

My idea would probably focus around a certain group of students that actually know eachother in the real world and find themselves locked in this dream academy every night as well as their usual school days.

The group of students would meet actual teachers who teach them to control a certain ability within themselves that unlocks the doors to controlling actual powers in the real world that help to take on a very real threat hoping to destroy those kids in the future. Almost like sleeping agents who are unknowingly being trained to take on something life threatening in a situation that seems like anything but...

Would anyone actually join that if I fine tuned the details and made it a thing?

I'm thinking about keeping it high school age. I think it would be better if the students that were allowed into the school were still in that phase of awkwardness whilst coming into their own.

It's going to be a dark coming of age kind of story. I'm still coming up with the concept but I have a feeling it's going to be quite dark.
