Abilities: Will doesn't have very many Magical Abilities, what was transferred over from her incident was very limited. With her eyes removed, Will is unable to see on her own, but has made a magical connection with bird to be able to see through their eyes and hear their thoughts. This skill was an after affect of her curse and if she uses it too frequently she develops massive migraines.
She still managed to keep the legendary amount of strength from her other form and has used it to become a master swords-woman. Her style of fighting in this regard is with the use of a massive shield and long-sword.
It is theorized that enemies of a Griffin are weakened just by standing in their presence, and this is partially true of Will, She has the ability to shock or intimidate her opponents with the her mix of a roar screech, but is unable to do her call for days afterwards, as her human vocal cords are not built to make the sound.
Personality: Will is very stern and does not take your blind jokes very well and would advice that you never bring it up again...ever. She also would prefer if you left the topic of witches, curses and her being an ex-Griffin alone. Despite her sour nature over her situation, Will expects the best effort from her students, and isn't afraid to drag them kicking and screaming to victory.
Much like the rest of Griffin kin, Will has a treasure she hoards away from public view, no one knows what her hoard is, and she refuses to tell anyone, but sometimes there is a glimmer about her when a certain topic is brought up. Bravery runs in her veins just as much as her blood does, and Willow isn't afraid to do what needs to be done.
Will is very level headed and quick witted, in her youth she was a trickster of sorts and would joke about with the humans on her mountain. It is now a very rare day to see her laugh, though she is still very proud of her ability to make fun of a situation.
History: To start off Willow's history, one first needs to know a fact about Griffins that is not well known. Griffin feathers have the ability to return sight to the Blind.
Willow's Mountain was home to a small village of people, they lived very closely with nature and revered Willow as a guardian Deity for protecting the village from harm. For this protection, the villagers would give her gold and food as a payment. This was a symbiotic relationship as Willow would go out of her way to scare off any larger beasts or enemies from the village.
When she reached her teens, a traveling weary old woman came to stop in her village, and learned of Willow's existence from the proud villagers tales. This woman traveled up the mountain while Willow was sleeping and cast a spell upon her, the old woman was not as she seemed, and was a witch in search of valuable ingredients to barter and sell. The woman plucked each and every feather Willow had before finally removing her eyes.Willow was awake for all of this, but was unable to move or fight back.
When the Witch was done, she cursed Willow into a human form.The witch fled the mountain as fast as she could, and when the spell wore off, Willow was no longer as she once was. Cursed in this form and blind, Willow struggled to make her way down the mountain to her village. The villagers found her nearly frozen outside the village and learned of what had happened as they nursed her back to health.
Willow asked the villages if the knew anyway to fix the curse, or at least her eyes so that she could find the witch herself. It was then that she learned a hard truth, the only thing that could fix her sight... was her own Griffin feathers. Willow was crushed at this cruel action, she could not see, so she could not find the witch to turn her back, and to see, she would have to be turned back.
Tales from the village say that Willow screamed for seven days and eight nights over the injustice done to her, and that she became only half of what she once was. All that remained from the once proud beast was the Will to fix herself and to get revenge. This is why the great protector dropped her name, and would only be known as Will till she was once more whole.
Will stayed in the village and learned the way of the humans while receiving an education, she was grateful to her village and teachers who did not give up on her, and this lead her into her occupation of Teaching. Will has taken up the position as teacher in Ashhaven Academy and is still looking for the witch who ruined her.
Though she now likes and can live among regular humans, her hate for Witches and other Magical humans still burns deeply. She has been known to grill Magical students on if they have seen an old beggar witch, and does not take kindly to their natures, no matter how nice they try to be.
Additional Information:
Likes: Books and Riddles, Teas and cozy sweaters, motivated people, students who hand in their work on time, birds, sweet foods.
Dislikes: Witches and Wizards, rudeness, lack of respect, laziness, not being able to see, people underachieving, peppers and spicy foods. BLIND JOKES
Fears: Being stuck as a human forever and never being able to see again.
Weaknesses:Will is effectively a human with only super strength and Bird communication as her skills, if someone managed to get rid of her birds, she could be flying blind without a guide. This on it's own wouldn't be much of a weakness, but Will is quite attached to her students and birds, and will become irrational if they are threatened. Will is also a very slow mover, and bird communication is not instantaneous, against a fast opponent, she has very little time to block.
Tattoos or Marks:Will got tattoos done after getting her degree in teaching to signify her achievement. she has Paw prints on the tops of her feet, and small bird prints on the backs of her hands. They remind her of what she has to do still.
