Though she'd had the thought the day before, it'd taken Carnotite some time to track down where some of the fuzzier members of the Negaverse resided. Patrolled. Lived. However it worked. She'd been a bit disgruntled that she might have to see if she could seek out a specific meeting with one, if they lived with agents outside of the castle that composed of Negaspace. Not that she'd be entirely against it, it would likely just lead to a prolonged waiting time on a project she wasn't even sure what she was looking at for a time frame for.
That was the most annoying part about this. Not having any sort of time frame in her sights.
The lieutenant had gotten wind of a feline residing near--in?--the office of a captain, and though the agent that had directed her had been a bit more flippant than she would have preferred, she'd bitten back her commentary for now to prioritize finding the guardian. Her heels clicked against the floors, echoing in the halls as her lightbulbs illuminated the area without fail. Every now and then, crystals caught the light and in beautiful display rainbows and fractured light danced across the walls.
"Hello? Hello? Pardon me, I'm looking for a guardian cat, if there is one here by chance~?" She kept her voice light and friendly, having no interest in wanting to offend a potential temporary assistant. Though she wasn't naive enough to not recognize the potential boon of making nice with guardians, if the word was indeed true that they were technological geniuses. Though how a talking cat could be so good with technology... was still a mystery to her, she wondered if they could even work wonders with electrical youma...

Soyala primarily stuck herself to Quartz like a gloriously fluffy burr. He was a useful source of work, he had a Lieutenant or two she could bully into giving her food and pets and brushings; it was a good place for a cat to be.
That did not mean she wouldn't make herself available to other officers, if she was requested. And she could hear a voice, calling for a guardian cat. Soyala stretched, and padded out of Quartz's office. When she saw the one it had to be, she tilted her head ot the side interestedly. This, it seemed, was one fo the ever-mysterious half-youma officers the Negaverse occasonally churned out.
"Looking for me?" The cat asked, and she padded over, and without further preamble, proceeded to climb herself up onto the Lieutenant's shoulders, where she settled like a furry ruff. It was her rightful place - not the ground.

Ask, and you shall receive. Carnotite was a bit startled to realize the voice was coming from a cat, but smiled regardless. A talking cat was the least odd thing she'd really encountered--she'd been told that's what guardians were, to put it lamely, but she supposed there was always going to be that first initial reaction.
"Hope I didn't disturb you. I've a... bit of a request, you see. If you'd be so kind as to assist me," she added politely, stooping down a little to be a bit more on level with the cat. That was when she decided to climb up Carnotite--whom wasn't too thrilled about the claws in her uniform, but assisted the pale feline up onto her shoulders. Still, she rubbed a little at some of the sore spots, slowly standing to make sure she didn't disrupt her new perch-er. Though she couldn't much affect her eyes, she lowered the brightness on her lightbulbs, if only to keep the more sensitive eyes from being poorly effected.
"Pleasure to meet you, I go by Carnotite." One of her hands lifted to stroke the soft fur but paused, a slight frown coming to her. "Oh, pardon. Would it be alright if I pet you? I'm afraid I've yet to learn the proper way to address a guardian." Though not usually one to admit her faults, she supposed honesty in this moment wouldn't hurt her.

"What sort of a request?" Soyala asked. She was, of course, always happy to help with anything her officers or Senshi might need, but knowing exactly what she was getting into was always ideal. After all, although it was unlikely, it might be beyond her (very wide, but not entirely all-encompassing) purview.
She appreciated the courtesy from the half-youma of dimming the lightbulbs on her head. It did indeed make it easier for the cat to see, and she expressed her appreciation with a low, brief purr.
"I am Soyala," she said, "a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Carnotite." If she could have smiled broadly, she would have. "And of course you may pet." She said it in a tone that said she rather expected pettings, really.

Carnotite grinned, pleased Soyala--oh what a pretty name!--was ok with being pet. The lieutenant began to stroke her fur, making sure to scratch lightly behind her ears. How fascinating, that they would be in the form of cats of all things... perhaps a rather smart ploy really, as she knew of few people who wouldn't be affectionate to a feline.
"Now, that request," she started, keeping her voice friendly but diplomatic. Falling back into her old tactics from when she worked as a personal assistant. Needing to get operations into place for her boss had been a daily, if not hourly, event. "You see, my status as having merged with a youma restricts me to Negaspace for... relaxation, really, outside of roughly three hours of time under a civilian glamour." Making attempting to do anything--such as sleep, eat, anything--outside of Negaspace a chore. "Sacrifices for power, I realize, but one I'm beginning to become most stressed over, is the lack of Internet I seem to have access to here." Carnotite sighed, a wistful, if not annoyed, sound. "Call me petty, and I'll own up to it, but I was wondering if you knew of a way to get some Wifi around my room? If not perhaps a few other sitting areas for other agents to utilize while here?"
Her lips pouted a bit in hopeful plea to Soyala, praying the guardian would be able to assist her, if not potentially lead her to a route that would get her her desired result.

Soyala purred unrestrainedly, very fluffy body vibrating with the sounds. She was constantly eager for shows of affection, and never in any way subtle about her appreciation of them. Let her humans love her, it made everyone happier.
She gave serious consideration to the request. "I'm sure we can find a way, darling," she said, "there's no one better with technology than a Mauvian." There had to be a way to bring Internet down here - and it was something she could do to make poor Carnotite, so lovely and so trapped in the darkness down here, happier. How could she say anything but yes?
"We'll need a traditional modem and router, I think, but there are computers...hmm hmm." She was half thinking aloud, half actually asking for the items described. "Connect into those and maybe..."

If this worked out, Carnotite was going to be very insistent on locating Soyala after this to give her proper thanks--in the form of more attention and, of course, gifts. But really? The woman was also deeply enjoying hearing a cat purring and feeling the warm fluffy body close to cuddle with. It was strange, the things she realized now and then she missed from her life prior to the merge.
Her face lit up almost brighter than her bulbs when Soyala began to plot how they could get Internet down there, her grin wide and rather genuine. Looking around at the doors to the offices, she gave a soft hum of thought. "Are any of the doors open here? If I could grab a pen and paper, you could give me a list of what we'll need and I'd be happy to do some... shopping for you," she told her feline companion, though she felt it went without saying no money would really be leaving her hands for this.
"Oh thank you so much for this. I can't begin to say how much of a relief this will be."

Soyala nodded. "Yes, many of these offices are unlocked and available, just pick one, I'm sure there should be something," her tail swished excitedly, and she looked rather lost in thought.
"Oh, darling, this is going to be so very lovely, I haven't had such a fun long-term project in such a while," she purred loudly, "and I would be doing so much good - I can't imagine being trapped down here forever, so alone, with so very very little to do." She sounded genuinely, warmly pitying, and she actually paused in her wiggling to regard the Lieutenant very seriously.
"We're going to make this happen, my dear. I promise."

Carnotite found the intensity of the feline's eyes unnerving, even as her smile was warm and genuine in its glee at how well this was working out. She was used to manipulating. She was used to using others to her own ends. Perhaps it was the fact this was the face of a cat, a creature she'd long looked to for comfort in her largely solitary lifestyle outside of the fame and fashion and flashing lights.
"I do not regret my choices. I never do. But I am still so, so grateful for your help in bringing back a bit of my old life."
Carnotite was not the sentimental type, unless it suited her purpose. Yet there was a genuine note to her words that made her question perhaps the safety of being around a guardian too much. Or perhaps it was just the opposite, that again the Negaverse was providing her with far, far more than she could have ever dreamt of before she'd taken this path.
It didn't take long to find a suitable office and write down the items Soyala requested, and continue to make plans to set this into motion. All the while, Carnotite made additional lists in her head, items that could suit the feline as means of thanks, and her own enjoyment of supplying riches to those she found herself fond of. It would be a mutual benefit, such a meeting, that was a large way that Lucretia had always ensured her various connections, relationships, and network. It would only serve her well to continue these practices within the Negaverse.
