Raz was changing gears a bit; the first group of visitors had been a success in his eyes, even if one of them already had a different job within the tribe. But, carving was a rather time-intensive activity, and so for the next several hours, he was opting for something different. After clearing away the shavings from the long work table, he went into the supplies corridor and retrieved an assortment of pieces he had carved, but not finished. They were toys mostly - a whole variety of shapes. Animals, balls, even a few B'alam shaped pieces. This session would be dedicated to painting and staining, Raz decided.
Once the objects to be painted were arranged, he went about setting up paint supplies themselves, humming cheerfully to himself as he found all the things his visitors would need. Though creating pigments and mixing paints was an important part of the job, he would leave it simple for this lesson, and set out wooden containers full of premixed colors, and wax-sealed palettes for mixing the paints.
When it was all done, he sat back down, hoping the alterations to his banners would draw in new visitors. Who could resist the chance to paint their very own toy?
(you can use your imagination for whatever carvings are set out; they are mostly simple things, animals and such. if i have time after finals i'll make doodles of what your characters pick/paint.)
