Caiden was trying hard to concentrate on what CamoDad was communicating to him about forest survival. So far he had collected some branches and tied them to his back for camouflage. The brownblood nodded as CamoDad talked about how one needed to pay attention to what leaves one used when hiding in what trees. Once the lecture was done, CamoDad declared it was time to start the games. Caiden jumped for joy, the game was always Hide and Seek. CamoDad closed his eyes. The count was two hundred. Caiden went running. The troll found a sizable rock, his skin would fit in with they grey rock, but then he would have to get nekkid. Caiden considered stripping down to nothing for the spirit of the game. Naw, he would have to take off his jacket. Not his favorite jacket. The troll would find a better spot. Caiden came upon a sleeping fur-beast. He quietly examined the animal, careful not to wake it up. He could hide here, if he could get under the animals sizable fur covered ears without it waking up, and then be able to stay there. Caiden patted the sleeping tusked animal's ear. It was better, but no win. Finally Caiden came upon a tree. But wow, this was not just any tree. It was covered in beads, little sculptures, and it was big. Caiden's training about finding a discrete spot to hide flew out the window. He wanted to explore this tree. Caiden knew it was a work of art, this tree, and he admired it. He wanted to show his admiration, in a "fellow artist" sort of way. The troll circled the tree twice and found a spot on the tree trunk that was free of artistic beauty and got out his paints. Dabbing the brush into a bright purple the brownblood set to work on his new bark canvas.

With a careful hand, Kolako shaved that last piece from the tiny wooden statue, letting out a loud giggle at the completion of a new tower, something that look similar to a tree. She placed it to the side, reaching for a figurine that looked quite similar to its owner... "Perfecto! I finished it!" She exclaimed with accomplishment-- It was intentional, creating a treelike tower resembling her own hive for the little figurine of herself. Now, all she needed were the leaves adorning the outside for a finishing touch. But... There was a hunt going on tonight. Maybe, she could wait. The next day would be better. Safer.
Koko's nose twitched. What was that noise?
It sounded like a splat nearby, but there were no sounds of screams or the low gurgle of a troll choking on their own blood. With a curious glance to the tightly shut window, Koko eyed it wearily, grabbing her spear-- Maybe it was a troll in need of help, being hunted. Or, maybe it was just a body by now? Even so, she could take what was on it. She'd never gotten troll horns or bones on her own before, Papion had always brought them to her as a sign of affection and she wanted to return the favor some time.
Of course, Koko would have to go down to find out.
She sprung out of the hive landing with a light thump on the nearest branch before rubbing her eyes from the light of the moon streaming through the tree leaves. Everything LOOKED normal, but... Well, this was her first time going outside during a hunt. And she couldn't exactly call Papion to come and get her, considering the lecture she'd receive if he found her out of her hive. She needed to check out what it was, though, from a safe distance. She slid down the trees carefully, hopping from branch to branch easily before landing on the leafy ground with a soft crinkle. She wouldn't dare make any noise above her normal voice. Besides, she didn't know if it was a killer, the victim, or sometroll who was already dead. She'd need to proceed cautiously...

CamoDad found Caiden easily. The brownblood was not even trying to hide like he was supposed to for this lesson. With a sigh the chameleon snaked his way to where the brownblood troll was making a mess of some poor tree. Caiden felt the familiar sticky tong leave a wad of slime in his hair. That was always how CamoDad greeted Caiden when he found him during "hide and seek". The brownblood giggled with delight as his father lumbered towards him. "Hi Dad! Hey! Look what i found! Isent it great?!" The child almost yelled as he showed off his prize find, the tree-trunk already streaked with paint. CamoDad flinched back from the loud noise his excited young charge issued from its speakhole. "Caiden.... This is a rather dangerous place..." the chameleon expressed with a sigh and a flash of color dotting his body. "Remember i said you had to focus when we train in this area? There are dangerous trolls, ones far scarier than that small purpleblood you met" CamoDad hated reminding Caiden of painful times, it hurt his heart to see his boy sad, but sometimes it was the only way to get the excited troll to pay attention. "You don't want to run into another like her now do you?"Caiden fell quiet and looked at his shoes. His hand still had the scab from where the purpleblood juggalo had pricked him for some weird ritual. Sure the scab should have healed a week ago, it was just in such an itchy spot the brownblood could not help but pick at it. Caiden held his hurt hand up to his face, looking at the scab in silent contemplation. "Yeah, okay daddy," Caiden said in a rare quiet voice. "But! Can i just finish this ONE area? I have SUCH a good idea for it!!" CamoDad rolled his eyes two separate directions and smiled. He had too soft a heart, the chameleon thought to himself as he gave Caiden ten more minutes.

Kolako heard a loud eager voice from nearby, mouth closed, lowering down into a crouch as she approached the scene wearily. It seemed to be a fellow brownblood, talking to what she supposed was his lusus. Kolako squinted, simply listening to the words the kid was saying-- They weren't hunters, that much was obvious. Kolako needed to notify them-- Oh! Was he painting? Ahh, that was the splat! Kolako placed two and two together, eyes brightening up slightly before remembering-- No, she needed to tell them how dangerous it was here. They shouldn't have been there. But it felt more dangerous to tell them to go to their hives and maybe run into the dangerous Hunter guys. She'd never directly encountered one, but Papion's stories and the things she'd seen were enough to keep her wary and anxious. And they seemed nice! She didn't want to inflict harm on other trolls! (Right?)
She intentionally stepped on a twig to notify the other to her presence, sharp eyes looking at the other up and down before blinking a little. "Hola! You two shouldn't be here!" Koko said bluntly, "Today, they're cazando trolls, huntin'em down. It's too peligroso, too dangerous right now, I think you guys should go to your hive...!" She said, then her eyes got a better look at what the other was working on, and man, it looked pretty cool! "Ayyy, so cool...! Did you paint this?" It was really so cool!

Caiden didn't hear the other troll approach. He was too busy talking non-stop. There was just so much he wanted to say. Even tho the brownblood lived with CamoDad the child always found more things to talk about. Never a quiet moment. The boy even talked to his paintings as he worked on them. CamoDad, of course, noticed the new troll and tensed. He at least, knew this place was dangerous, and Caiden would know that too, if he had listened to his dad. "OH!! HI!!" Exclaimed Caiden as he finally noticed the other troll. "Yeah!! I did paint this, what do you think?! I feel like its missing something, but i just CANT put my finger on it! Like, maybe something purple? Maybe red? Its needs SOMETHING! MAYBE MORE OF EVERYTHING!!!" The brownblood clapped his paint covered hands and proceeded to work on adding more of everything. "Hi im Caiden! Its pretty cool here, do you live here? Who are you? OMG I LOVE THOSE BEADS!!" The brownblood paused his painting but not his talking to shake hands. The hand he offered was covered in paint, but the boy seemed oblivious to that fact.

The troll was loud and excited-- it was actually kind of cute! She giggled, distracted by his excitement and eagerness, looking to his painting in wonder. "It looks maravilloso! So pretty! I really really like it!" She said, just as excited as he was from his painting as he was even though she had no part in it whatsoever. She blinked at the bark excitedly, feeling dimly like she'd forgotten something-- Do you live here? In that instant, she both remembered exactly where here was and forgot immediately due to his comment on her amazing, hand painted beads. She grinned widely, extending a hand and giggling. "I'm Kolako, pero call me Koko! I live nearby, and, and, I made them!! Myself!! Jejeje!" She jutted her thumb from her other hand to her chest proudly, eyeing his hand with the quirk of her brow and also thrusting her hand forward, pushing her hand into his paint colored one, slightly confused. She'd never seen this type of troll signal before! Maybe it was customary? She didn't know what happened after putting her hand in his though, and simply waited for him to do whatever it was normal trolls did or something.
Meanwhile, the trees rustled with the sound of movement.

Caiden had never really had much freedom with handshakes. Most trolls took their hands back after just one shake, but Kolako wasn't! "You live HERE?! OH THATS GREAT! Ive only got one big tree where i live, and its not NEAR as amazing as these ones! I guess the trees don't like the mountain much, or that's what CamoDad said when i asked him. BUT YOU'VE GOT SO MANY! Do you have a secret to attract all these trees? I wanna do something to get the trees to like the mountain too!" Caiden had not let go of the other troll's hand, and was still shaking it up and down along with his excited babbling. "OH! But it looks like you don't have as many rocks living here!" Finally Caiden let go of the girl's hand and rummaged in his backpack. Soon he pulled out a few rocks, all had faces painted on them in a variety of silly expressions. "HERE! You can have these!" Caiden exclaimed, pushing the rocks into Kolako's arms. "So if you just remember to visit them every couple nights, tell them good daytime stories, and, OH! They LOVE IT when you pet them. They will TOTALLY LOVE it here and tell more rocks and then you will have AN ENTIRE VILLAGE!! And the villages have a mayor rock! And sometimes the mayor rock sends you on QUESTS and all sorts of fun stuff!" Caiden didn't notice the rustling at all over his excitement of meeting a new best friend.

Only ONE big tree?? Kolako could hardly believe there was such a place! "Yeah yeah, they're huge! I love the trees here, they're so much fun to climb and-- No, no, I don't go to the mountains much! A Papi no le gusta, Papi doesn't like it when I leave the forest-- And and--" Oh reina, Kolako was feeling breathless already! This wasn't normal for her, usually she was the biggest chatterbox, but in those few moments, the more Caiden spoke, the more winded she became. "--I don't like rocks, they're not as cool as trees, but yeah yeah, I haven't seen many so I can't say I don't like them until I've seen more! Y--" Kolako was suddenly given an armful of rocks, eyes wide as the trees rustled again, this time more noticeable. Kolako remembered what she wanted to say in that second. "--We need to go!" Kolako exclaimed, dropping the rocks and grabbing his arm tightly, face blanching. Her voice lowered considerably-- "We need to hide right now, ahora."
Kolako stopped moving, listening to her surroundings and looking directly at Caiden. "There's a hunt today." She whispered, seeming truly frightened. "No podemos... We can't be outside. Papi... He warned me about this...!" Kolako seemed nervous, panicky. She wasn't used to not having everything under control.

Obliviously, Caiden reached down to help Kolako pick up her rocks. These were good rocks! Cant just let um go to waste. But something was up, Kolako lost her bubblieness and was serious. Caiden looked down at the rocks one more time, before looking into Kolako's eyes and seeing genuine fear. The smile left the boy's face and he grabbed Kolako's hand. "Okay, cant be outside." Caiden repeated, then he yelled. Caiden was fairly sure CamoDad had found him. His dad was really good at finding, not to mention Caiden had been chattering on rather loudly. "Hold tight, okay?" Caiden told Kolako as he heard the sound of his father's lightning quick tong dart out and catch the two kids. In an instant, wind rushing, Caiden and Kolako were hanging by the reptile's pink tong, no longer on the ground. Hanging there, covered in slime and wrapped up tight next to the other child, Caiden grinned, the fear Kolako had given him evaporated with the rush of the ride. quite uneventful Hope that isent GMing moving them? Ur welcome to make CamoDad do w/e, tell me if you would prefer i change something <3

Kolako was a little shocked when he grabbed her hand, but felt her chest squeeze in response to his yell. That-- That was alerting whatever was nearby to their position! Kolako swallowed, looking around in a panic-- Before a sound caught her attention, but she was too slow. Kolako almost flailed, but Caiden seemed alright with it, feeling her body snapping up with Caiden's as they swung up. Kolako blinked, confused with the movement-- But when they stopped, that'd been enough for her. She looked around from their hanging place, eyes widening in realization. They were near her hive, yeah! And, up in the trees. This was good, very good. She looked at Caiden with a more relaxed smile, looking around silently before whispering at him-- "Could he bring us to-- Ese arból? That one, over there?" Kolako asked, pointing in front of them to a sturdy tree that looked very similar to the others. She knew it was her hive, though-- She recognized the cuts and its firmness. "I have somewhere we can hide, there...!" She murmured, staring directly at it and swallowing nervously. She only hoped there'd be no hunters nearby...

"Yeah!" Caiden exclaimed, looking at the branch the girl was pointing at. "Yeah Dad can defiantly do that!" Caiden leaned over, looking down at the chameleon. With one eye on the branch, and the other going back and forth inspecting the two children, CamoDad shot across the air once again. Caiden whooped in the rush of the ride, blind to any trouble or harm that could be nearby. "Where next Kolako?!" Caiden looked at his new friend, leaves in his hair and excitement in his eyes.

Kolako clamped a hand over his mouth. They were not about to die here. She was happy they were at her tree, but now they needed to get in the small hole. Putting a finger on her lips as a shhh, she pointed at the hole to her home and motioned for him to jump in there. They could stay there and wait until they're gone, she hoped...

Caiden slapped his hands over his mouth. This part of the game required quiet. Giving CamoDad a small wave goodby Caiden climbed where he was directed. It was a small space, but the boy was still pretty small so it all worked out. Caiden turned around and looked up at Kolako. "What next?" He asked, grinning as he played the new game called "Kolako Says".

Kolako hopped in behind Caiden, landing with a soft pat on the ground before looking around the room and squinting. At his question, Kolako giggled, standing up straight and pitter pattering to the side. "Ya llegamos. We're here!!" She said in a low voice, hand reaching to move a large leaf covering a few holes on the top of her hive, the moonlight streaming in through the trees and illuminating her hive some. It shined on some of the beads and showed a pile of bones in the corner, torn up, chewed on and broken a wooden tree trunk treated as a table, with many little trinkets and beads on top. Many stains covered the hives floor, and it reeked of something dead but also of something sweet. Tree branches with purple leaves curled inside her hive, growing on the walls of the unstable ground. Kolako turned around to look at him, smiling brightly. "We stay here until it's safe outside! Hasta cuando todo esté bien. Which might be a while. Perdon! I'm sorry!" She gave him a worried smile. "We can talk more about your paintings!! Tus pinturas, hehe!! I'd love one on my tree when this is all over, ohh mi Reina!! And and-- Te puedo enseñar mis creaciónes! I can show you all my creations!! I love to carve wood, mira mira, look! This is me, and this is Papion-- My lusus, and this is..."
