Lily sat in her room playing with her small tea set. The table was set with four cups and a teapot. Lily sat in one chair while the other three were seated with a wolf doll, a bear doll, and a cat doll. Pouring the imaginary tea for the cat she smiled and giggled, "Yes kitty i's a pwetty day ouside." She said and poured some tea for the wolf and bear. She then put the tea pot down and shook her finger at the bear, "Das not vewy nice languge bear bear." She said.
In her mind the wolf was in charge of the tea party sitting proper even though he had a scary muzzle. He kept the others in line. The bear was outgoing and liked to say bad words that she had gotten in trouble with her mother for saying out loud. The cat was the outsider, not wanting to play but did for her. She loved the cat doll a lot. Lily continued to play with her tea set until she sneezed into her arm and looked back at the blood, "Mommy!! I's happning again!" She yelled.

Lily's mother opened with a heavy sigh and shook her head before hurrying over to pull Lily up onto her feet, ". . .what am I going to do with you, Lily? You have blood all over your nice dress and your shoes. We can't keep up with these episodes of yours." She scolded before using her handkerchief to start wiping the girl's nose, chin and arm. Keeping up with the girl's blood spurts was becoming tiring for the woman, and costly when it came to buying a whole new set of clothes.
She cleaned Lily's skin, then stood up and rubbed her eyes tiredly, "just . .just change clothes and I'll get a load of laundry going to try and clean it up. Hopefully, this time, we can get those stains out." She nodded and walked away to get her washing machine started.

Lily knew what all of this was doing to her mother. How her mother was tired all the time and got mad when she got her clothes dirty. Nodding to her mother she got a new dress and changed into it. Taking her stained dress to her mother she held it up her lip quivering a bit as she held back tears, "Im sowey mommy... I dons mean to wuin my dwesses..." She said softly.
Lily didn't know what was wrong with her or why she bled so much for no reason. She had been going to doctors since she could remember and they all told her mother the same thing. There was nothing wrong with her. Lily was healthy, but her blood produced too much and it expelled on its own. There was only times when Lily was stressed that the blood hurt as it spilled out of her nose and ears.

Lily's mother stopped and just looked down at her daughter before kneeling down to take the dress, ". . .I know you don't mean to, Lily. I know. . .mommy is just. . just tired. Okay?" She said before kissing the girl's forehead and standing up to load the dress into the waiting machine, "why don't you go keep playing tea. Dinner will be ready soon." She nodded and closed the lid before heading back towards the kitchen.
The entire time, the woman was trying to figure out what to do. No doctor could fix her, and there were no experimental treatments for this kind of thing. She combed through her hair and sat down at the kitchen table, holding her head in her hands, "what can I do. . . ? . . .I'm at the end of my rope here. . . .I don't know what to do."

Lily smiled at her mom and went back to her tea party. She continued with the tea party but when her imagination made the wolf doll get angry she quickly stopped playing. She picked up the cat doll and held it close to herself as she walked away from the wolf and bear dolls. "Is ok kitty... wolf and bear bear didn mean to say dos mean tings..." She said softly.
It was getting late and she looked at the clock and the hands were past where her mother usually came in to take her to dinner. She didn't know how to read the clock but knew where the pointers should be when things happened. Holding onto her cat doll she went to the door and peaked out, "M-mommy?"

Instead of her mother standing there, a tall man with a heavy coat on his shoulders was there. He was smiling at her, and had a smaller coat in his hands along with a packed suitcase, "mommy is sleeping my darling. But, it's alright." He said and kneeled down to Lily's level, "My name is Cain, and you're going to be staying with me from now on. Alright?" He said as he brought the coat around to tie around her shoulders.
He had a gentle looking way about him, but the smile he had was unsettling. He was too happy to see this girl, and too comfortable with picking her up into his arms, "do you have any other toys you want to bring with you before we leave?"

Lily looked up at the man with wide eyes. He didn't look dangerous but his eyes and smile made her feel scared. When the jacket was put around her and she was picked up she held the cat doll closer to her. Gulping a bit she nodded softly, "C-can i takes.... wolf and bear bear?" She asked softly pointing to the wolf and bear still sitting at the tea table.
She was able to get down and get her small bag. She used this bag to take her dolls with her to the hospital. Packing them up she put the bag on her back and looked up at the man again, "Are you wif da hostital?" She asked her hands holding onto her dress tightly, "Can i sas goodbye to mommy?"

"It's best you don't, sweet child. Mommy needs alot of rest right now." He said then took Lily back up into his arms. He glanced around the room for a moment before taking the girl out towards a waiting car, "and no. I'm not with the hospital. But I will be taking care of you from now on, so your mommy doesn't have to." Cain nodded as he climbed into the backseat with Lily and signaled the driver to head out.
He needed to get Lily far away, before the little girl decided to panic. She seemed to be a little smarter than he had imagined, "you'll like your new home. it's big, lots of space to play in, and you get to have a room all to yourself. How does that sound?" He asked and reached to comb through Lily's hair gently.

Lily bit her lip and got a bit scared of the man. She couldn't see her mom again and he wasn't from the hospital. Did her mom not love her? Did she want to get rid of her. She sat in the car and started to tear up a bit, "I dons wans a new roum... i wans my ols roum wif mommy...." She used her little hand to wipe her tears.
As they were leaving she looked out the car window and saw her father driving past them going home. "Daddy!" She turned around in the seat and looked out the back window tears falling faster now, "Daddy! Plse! I wanna stas wif mommy! Daddy! Daddy! Mommy!" she yelled.

Cain's smile faded hearing her cries and her pleas, then reached over to turn the little girl around and set her in her seat, "Now Lily, we're going to a new home. If you continue to act out, I'll have no choice but to punish you. I don't tolerate this kind of behavior." He warned before sitting back in his seat calmly. When the car arrived at a large mansion, a maid was waiting there and held her hand out for Lily to take, while another opened the door for Cain and bowed her head down.
"Welcome to your new home, Lily. Bring her inside and show her to her room." He ordered the maid, who only bowed her head and smiled at the young girl before leading her up the stone steps, "come along, miss lily. It's nice and warm inside, and I promise, you'll like your room. It's all made up just for you."

Lily struggled a bit with Cain but stopped when she heard the word punish. She knew that word. Her father would smack her hand or mouth sometimes when she spoke out or broke something in the house. She didn't want to know what this man did for punishment. When she got to the mansion she looked up amazed and scared. The maids seemed to be frightened of this man as well.
When she was taken through the halls she looked around. There was a painting she saw with three men, one was the man who brought her here. Another was a man wearing a large scary grin and the last seemed sad and distant from the picture. She was pulled away before she could inspect it more. When she was taken to her new room she looked around at the bed, the toys and the closet of dresses. Lily took off her backpack and pulled out kitty and started to cry into its belly.

Cain heard her cries from the hall, but dismissed it and decided to check on his own project. He'd let her get all her tears out before exposing her to the rest of her new house and responsibilities. The man took a ring of keys from his belt and opened the door with a soft knock on the wood frame, "Abel, Brother, " He called in, and watched a bloodied maid stagger out of the room with a soft whimper, ". . .I see feeding time has come to an end. And how is our pet project doing?"
Louis, the last man in the painting, was wheezing on the floor and holding onto himself. He had heavy chains on his wrists and neck for the time being, and blood all over his chin, chest, and claws as he growled and did his best to pry himself from the shackles, "his mannerisms haven't improved quite yet, but at least he's stopped talking. Did he lash out at you again?" Cain asked and crossed his arms with a sigh.

Abel looked over to the door and smirked at his brother, "Its going good Brother. He is feeding a bit more quickly now. It only took me two hits to get him to feed." he said and started to wipe his hands down with a rag. He looked over at the boy and shook his head, "He only tried but stopped half way. I think I'm getting to him." he said laughing and putting the rag down.
"How was your project? I can hear crying coming from upstairs." He grinned and sniffed deeply, "Was it easy to get her? How small is she?" he asked his tongue moving over his large canines with anticipation.

"Her mother was easy to take out. Tired woman who was too distracted to notice me. I left someone there to take care of the father." Cain chuckled and shook his head, "as for her size, she's young. 5 years old, but an interesting find. She can over flow with blood, and no doctor seems to think there's any cause for it. Absolutely perfect." He purred, but stopped when Louis wheezed again and strained against his chains, ". . . .n-no. . . . N. . .No. . .!" He tried to shout out, but it was strangled by the shackle on his neck.
"I don't think Louis here approves~" Cain grinned, but only sighed and combed through his hair, "no matter. She's ours now, and she'll be easy to train once she realizes that there's no escape from this place like everyone else." He nodded and reached over to tug the younger vampire's hair back. Louis flinched and shut his eyes before clenching his teeth to keep from saying anything else.
