Zeke hadn't looked at the name scrawled across the top of the page clipped into the clipboard that was resting on the little rolling table beside Zeke's hip. If he had he might have been a little more eager to see his next patient. A trainee, some poor sap that had been shipped off to the Antarctica base for months on end. Unaware, the Mist was less than pleased with the inconvenient appointment time.

Of course, it wasn't their fault their preexisting appointment cut in on something a lot more fun.

Zeke was arranging things on the little wheeled table as her heard someone approaching from behind, and didn't bother looking up while addressing them. "Going to need you to strip down to your under clothes, and take a seat on the cot."

The fact he had –just- seen Ever in the hall way, and now saw the other half of what, when he’d last seen them had been what he’d quietly deemed ‘the dastardly duo’ only because he knew on some level that they were ‘an item’ on some level.

“If you wanted to see me in my kickers that bad, you coulda asked before they sent me out to try and turn me into a ruddy Iceblock.” He said after a long pause where he fished for something to say, though the pause might have been associated with stripping at least.

He did flex his hands out though the pin and needle sensation of having been so cold for so long still lingering even after the chat with Ever in the hall.

That voice is mighty familiar

Zeke's head tipped, bird-like, a fraction of a second before he was turning to eye the shorter man standing behind him. Zac. "Well then, fancy seeing you here." As if this wasn't an examine room(makeshift room, seeing as how they were still in a high tech tent). "If I recall," he went on, not missing a beat as he picked up the clipboard to give it a much more thorough look over. "You were keeping company with someone not long before you fell off the face off the earth." It was possible he was remembering wrong, too wrapped up in his own life and the people he chose to surround himself with, but he had a vague sense of knowing that was hard to place the source of.

For as much as the Mist valued his own lack of monogamy, he seldom put in effort to ruin anyone else's relationships. Especially not if he actually liked one of the persons involved.

"I'm asking now, that should count for something." It was necessary, but that didn't keep Zeke from looking up from the clipboard to smile salaciously at the shorter man. Despite the warmth of the island Zac looked cold. Down to the bone cold. He supposed, given where the Sun had been stationed, that wasn't all that surprising. Ever had been cold as well, but he'd thawed out quick enough.

Zac’s eyes lingered for a moment on the new scar that Zeke sported before he caught the words and worked them through, his face prickled and he glanced away.
He’s not 100% sure who of the people he’d happened to have been with Zeke might be talking about at that moment. Certainly he still suspected that part of his poor chooses that had cascaded from the original shitty life choices had resulted in the reason that he was pretty sure that warmth was something he’d left behind on the island.
Then again maybe he was just bitter about it.

“Ah… er… yeah there was a bit of a thing… or so.” He said and cleared his throat, quite sure that he was turning red despite the coppery color of his skin.

Stripping off his shirt he did show that he sported a slightly wider array of tattoos now than he had when he left, most of them would show to having a raised quality that marked them as having been done with his ‘non powered’ tools.

“Happened to your neck Mate?” He asked by way of changing to subject.

"Well there you go," he responded easily, smiling widening just a touch before he was turning to resume laying out the equipment he was going to need: stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, reflex hammer, otoscope, otoscope caps, and tongue depressor. He lay them out in the little metal tray with care, and when he was finished he turned again, bringing the wheeled table with him.

A brow rose at the new tattoos, pale eyes lingering perhaps a little longer than was strictly polite, but it wasn't as if he hadn't seen every inch of the other man's body.

"Neck, and arm," he corrected, with out any trace of shame, holding up his left hand to show the discoloration and slight tracing of burn ridges that covered him from fingertips on up to the bit of burn Zac could see peeking above the loose collar of the scrubs he was wearing. "Got lit on fire." There was a lot more too it then that, but Zeke wasn't in a hurry to go into it here and now. Maybe later, if Zac was still curious. An update on what had been going on on island probably wouldn't hurt, regardless.

He made a vague gesture at the smaller man's pants as he hooked an ankle around a stool and pulled it over to take a seat. "Those too."

“Last time I dropped trow around bloke, it ended up a bit of a mess.” He said with a grin that lacked something of the normal humor he might have put into the comment.
“Though maybe you just want to see how far down they go.” He said the grin warming slight as he waved a hand at the tattoos.”
He shook his head slightly but obeyed the request.

“Now I’m back, I should ask when I might book people for new ink.” He mused as he did a loose fold of his trousers and set them aside.

"First time you dropped trow in front of a bloke it ended up being a great time." Zeke should know, he'd been there. The look on the Mist's face was a thoughtful one, even with the smile, as if he were trying to see past the smiles and the jokes to what lay beneath them. "I know how far the other ones go." Hazel eyes dipped to the newer ink. Of course he was curious, and he let it show before reaching over to grab the stethoscope off the table.

"I've been thinking of getting another one, just haven't settled on what I want yet." When the pants were set aside he pointed towards the cot and waited for Zac to take a seat, rolling up to him on his little stool. "Now that you're back, maybe you can help me with a design."

Breathing on the little metal circle, Zeke rubbed it on the front of his shirt to warm it up before laying it against Zac's chest so he could listen to his heart. "Deep breath, please."

“You KNEW” He corrected. “I had some down time, and it was boring and cold as hell.” He flashed a nervous grin.

He took a careful seat and took the requested deep breath, holding it a moment before letting it out slowly.

“Do you have any designs in particular you were looking at?” He asked tipping his head slightly.

Tattoos at least were fairly safe, rather making people spiral into upset because you kissed them and…things.

Still, it –was- nice to be back around other people that weren’t that one cranky old… He pushed the thought away but the slight flush in his face wasn’t so easy.

Again that curious quirk of brows as he looked up to watch Zac's face. He remembered him being nervous, jittery, but he had assumed that would have at the very least faded after their brief time together. Apparently not. That, or something else had happened.

"No, nothing specific. Except made a couple solid bands around my ankles." He advised him to take another deep breath, shifting the stethoscope a couple times before letting it drop and pulling the ear pieces from his ears as he shrugged. He knew he wanted another tattoo, he just didn't know what he wanted. It was sort of a dilemma.

Zeke grabbed the otoscope next, popping a cap on the end, and swiveled around so he could check first one ear, then the other. "You seem a little more jumpy than I remember you being, even in the closet." If Zac had expected Zeke not to pick up on that awkward energy, he was sorely mistaken. "What gives?" Pale eyes flicked up from tossing the cap in the bin, leveling on tanned features. "Do I still make you that nervous?"

“Nah mate… I suppose I do.” He rolled his shoulders in a shrug.

“Just something that happened before I left.” He put a smile on his face and then looked thoughtfully down at Zeke’s ankles.

“Solid is very do-able, gonna hurt right over those bones right there, he twisted a bit to tap his own where there were new intricate designs suggestive of faces and creatures.

“I should ask you for a run down on what happened while I was gone. “ he said quietly.

“… How’s everyone round here, Otto, last I saw him we’d just finished the obstacle course. You try that?” He asked… it was NOT the last time he’d seen Otto, but all he was going to say just at the moment. The flirting at least was nice, and he wasn’t inadvertently dragging someone out of any closets.

"Ah." He could have asked, but to his credit he didn't. Zac didn't seem to want to go into detail, and Zeke wasn't going to drag the information out of him, it wouldn't be fun for him. Personal drama was seldom entertaining to the Mist.

Also, Zac was one of the few people Zeke would actually call a friend, and he tended to be at least a little nicer to them. A little.

He waved a hand dismissively at the whole pain thing. "Shouldn't be a problem. I mean you recall where I've been pierced. Nothing's gunna top that." He could definitely handle getting inked over some bones.

He waited for Zac to finish his question before holding up the tongue depressor in a meaningful way. When the smaller man opened his mouth he pressed it to his tongue, shining the light from the otoscope towards the back of his throat. "I can give you a run down if you want, but not here. It'd take to long." For a second he was quiet, features set in concentration, then he drew back and tossed the depressor in the trash.

"Otto's fine. Dating Chance, I believe." He gave a shake of his head in response to the obstacle course. "And not yet, I'm usually kept pretty busy here, when not laid up in an infirmary bed myself."

“Chance…” He said trying to determine if he knew who that was… and if he was assuming the right gender for that name.
“Chance…don’t think I know …them, that’s new.”

He made a small sound in his throat and glanced away a moment with a laugh. “Yeah, you definitely did some serious landscaping,” He said after he made a face at the taste of the tongue depressor.

“Shame you probably couldn’t see anything if that tasted like anything but splinters.” he chuckled.

“Glad you’re up and about though mate. I’ll see what I can make up for some new designs for you too, promise. At least being what we are we can’t catch the Dreaded lurgy so easy.”

He bit at the inside of his cheek a moment.

“So…you still Fancy Ever?”

"Tall guy, Sun archer, into the stars." Zeke rather liked the man, or at least didn't have anything against him. He was an easy going sort, didn't go looking for trouble, very honest. They were similar in that regard.

A chuckle followed the comment on landscaping. It wasn't the term he was used to for that, but he caught the meaning well enough, flashing Zac a lazy grin as he fitted the blood pressure cuff on the smaller man's arm. The stethoscope came up again, and the metal circle found it's way to the bend of Zac's elbow. "I'm going to assume Lurgy is something like a staph infection," he mused, gaze flicking up briefly before dipping again to read the progress of the little needle in the gauge as he released the pressure from the cuff.

Mention of Ever wasn't really unexpected. Zac knew the both of them, knew they were involved(or at least had been last he knew). What made him smile was the use of the term fancy. It pulled an amused sound from him as he undid the cuff and set it aside. Hands free, he rested his arms on his thighs, chin lifting so he could meet the other man's gaze. "You mean, am I still sleeping with Ever?" His lips twitched. "Yes."

He could have left it there, could have made the Sun squirm a bit, but he already seemed uncomfortable enough without Zeke's help. "Along with a few other people." Some more important than others, but multiple partners was multiple partners.

That Chance was confirmed as Male earned a startled look from Zac, something akin to a small animal in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle.
“huh…” He said blinking “Huh, right then.”

The half question about what Lurgy was, or rather the assumption on what it might be earned a sincere laugh though. “Means a lot of things mate, Normally the cold but ah. Well if you … give your ferret a good run.” He waved his hands towards Zeke’s… landscaping.

“Then you could find it meaning a few other things too.”

“Not…that I’m implying you wouldn’t be careful with that eh?”

It was as much an awkward apology as a ‘reassuring statement’ - “Right, good, So he’s alright with you…” He waved his hand and then paused thinking an pointed back towards the door.

“Did I… interrupt.”

He saw that, Zac. Zeke saw everything, and he remembered.

Brows arched as Lurgy was expanded upon, then arched further at yet another term that was so incredibly not American it took him a moment to grasp the meaning of it. When he did he chuckled. "Well, can't catch anything we might have before we came here," he amended with a light chuckle. There were still dangers with unprotected sex, just not the same ones.

Different ones. Much more frightening ones.

Long fingers laced as Zac continued to prod about His and Ever's relationship, whatever it might be. "No, you didn't interrupt." Zac didn't need to know what exactly they'd been doing before he'd gotten to the infirmary.

"And he's fine with it." More or less demanded it, actually. The lack of monogamy made things less real, less relationshipy, and that kept the blonde from freaking out over their lovely little arrangement. Since Zeke wasn't really the monogamous sort, it suited him just fine. "Get's on real well with one of them, and fooled around with another before I met him." Now he was smiling, that all too familiar s**t-eating grin that Zac might remember.

"Why do you ask?" He was definitely teasing now, baiting. "Miss me?"
