- ■ WITTY Fanchon has a sly, sarcastic sense of humor that usually reveals itself in pointed, if very witty remarks. This got her into a good deal of trouble during her school years, both with other students and with teachers with little patience for her commentary on their teaching methods and the classwork. Now that she is an adult she relies less on sarcasm, but it still comes out from time to time, especially around her family and friends,who are never spared.
■ METICULOUS If you are going to do something, do it right the first time, is Fanchon's motto. She is very particular about things like personal appearance, her living space, and her work, whatever it may be. She has always had an eye for detail, and can tell if something has been done in a rush or sloppily just by glancing it over. She can't stand disorganization and mess, and is quick to point out other people's mistakes, not out of spite, but so they can fix them.
■ EMPATHETIC Fanchon is not the easiest person to get to know, nor the most cheerful or extroverted, but she is very in tune to the feelings of the people around her. It's easy for her to identify with other people and what they're going through, and her neutral nature makes her very non-judgmental and open to talking about almost anything. While she herself doesn't show a lot of emotion, she isn't critical of those who do.
■ TACITURN Having always been reserved, Fanchon generally doesn't say much unless she has to. When she has a lot to say, it's generally a sign that things are not going well. Fanchon generally doesn't see the need to talk much about herself or others, unless she deems it necessary, and while she went through a 'rebel' stage in her teen years where she suddenly had a lot to say about everyone, she is usually quiet, if not shy.
■ OBSTINATE Fanchon is stubborn, and is likely to do the opposite of what she's told to do if ordered around. She's not someone naturally inclined to letting others push her around or take the reins, and she can be like a solid rock wall; completely unmoving, and stoic in the face of everything. Fanchon does not always do very well with authority, and is quick to point out the flaws and shortcomings of those who call themselves leaders.
■ NON-COMMITTAL You're not going to get Fanchon to reveal her true feelings on a matter very easily. She won't be pushed into sharing her opinions, and is the master of a neutral expression. It's generally hard to tell what she's thinking and if she approves or disapproves of whatever is going on. She seems to enjoy this; taking satisfaction in keeping others guessing into what she thinks or feels. Fanchon likes to take her time in making up her mind about things.

- CHILDHOOD Fanchon was orphaned shortly before her fourth birthday by the 2010 Haitian earthquake. She was found wandering in the streets by rescue workers, crying for her mother and father. Nightmares of mass graves and the smell of burning bodies plagued her throughout her early childhood, even after she was adopted a few years later by the Cohens. After she adjusted to a stable home environment she treasured her new found family, and was especially protective of her adopted sister, Estelle, who is two years her junior. She showed magical ability as a child and when the time came to went to the Haitian secondary school for magical children.
SCHOOL YEARS Fanchon enjoyed school and did fairly well in it, but didn't have many friends and frequently clashed with the authority figures in her life. Her teen years were difficult, but she had her first girlfriend at the age of sixteen, Heloise, who she was madly in love with.
POST GRADUATION Fanchon spent her years after graduation working a variety of different jobs and traveling around Haiti with Heloise, whom she believed to be the love of her life. As someone who doesn't show their emotions readily, Fanchon was extremely vulnerable and open with her, and when she found out her partner had been cheating on her, was caught completely off guard. When she heard her younger sister planned on moving to the UK, she decided to move with her, still being protective of Estelle, and to escape bad memories of Heloise.
