Nemesis was growing more and more frustrated with Jesenya. He had been trying to teach her the proper etiquette for when she came face to face with his father. He believed that he had found a mare worthy of Horus's approval but he wanted this meeting to go over without a hitch. He glowered at the mare that followed docilely behind him. At least she listened well. Perhaps it was that she still worried about the threat he'd leveled against her that first meeting in the woods when he had found her on their lands. He had told her that she was trespassing and that her fate would be decided by the family.
From that point on he'd slowly been trying to instill what he considered knowledge that was essential for Jesenya to know. However it seemed as if the mare was purposely trying to drive him insane. He growled under his breath before attempting to speak cordially. "We'll be in the heart of our territory very shortly. Please try to remember what I taught you."

Jesenya had been mulling over what Nemesis had been instructing her in. Her mind had been fairly active the past few days since he had discovered her trespassing. There was some vague idea in her mind that the idea that she had been on their land was made up but without concrete evidence she could not refute his claim. Instead she had submitted easily to his request that he let her fate rest in the hands of his father. The half uni mare glanced up from her mental musings at Nemesis's voice addressing her. She refused to comment as she knew it would upset him.
There was an idea in her mind that she wished to see just how far she could push the stallion before he snapped. There was not much to base her assumptions on but the stallion almost seemed as if he were walking on eggshells, ready to blow at any given moment. Surely there was something more than one saw with the eyes but Jesenya wasn't sure if she was to care much at this point in time. For now she just wanted to get this meeting out of the way so that she could leave. Her gaze caught on figures in the distance and she shook off the sudden negative vibe that swept over her.

Horus bid Artemis to leave. There was always a heavy tension between her and her brothers. Today, it would not do. Artemis left obediently enough, though he could sense the anger in her.
He focused his eyes back in the distance to his son coming closer with a mare-a prisoner. It had not been long ago that Khonvoum had acquired Viveka who had become obedient in all but her history. There was something that she was hiding that he did not not know, and not knowing was not an option. His son ha been tasked with finding out but so far it had proved fruitless.
The mare with his sun was like pale sunlight, a large flower hanging in her wavy hair. She was pretty in her own way, his son had down well in that. Now he woul see exactly how well his son had done with keeping her in line compared to how long he had had her.
So far, she was coming along meekly enough. A good starting point.
He turned fully to face his son keeping his face impassive.

Nemesis could see the departing figure of Artemis. He refused to acknowledge his sister as it was not she he wished to see. Ahead he spotted his father and with one last pointed look to the mare behind him Nemesis stepped away from the mare. There was a frank curiosity in his gaze as he met Horus's gaze with a steely one of his own. It was a stressful silence that passed before Nemesis cleared his throat. "Father, I have done what you have tasked me with. I have found a mare that I believe meets your requirements," at this Nemesis cleared his throat before turning to face Jesenya. "Please come forward and introduce yourself."
This was the first test. If Jesenya followed his command it would be a good start.

The aura of power that the stationary figure seemed to hold sway over nearly caused Jesenya to shy away from doing what it was she was instructed to do. That had been rule number one of Nemesis's teachings. She had to obey any command that was given to her without hesitation and without complaint. There was something off about this scenario though. As Jesenya listened quietly to Nemesis's words she could not help but realize that he might have told her a lie somewhere in the initial meeting that they had had.
A hint of anger flashed in her eyes before she realized that she still had to follow through with the edict that Nemesis had just given her. Letting go of the anger for now Jesenya moved forward with a graceful step and gently inclined her head to the stallion that seemed to be in charge. Her eyes rose to meet his and she gave a soft smile before giving her response. "I am known as Jesenya, sir," she began in a sotto voice before letting her gaze rest squarely on Horus. Her voice increased only marginally but she spoke one last phrase. "May fair winds bless your lands."

Horus watched his son without blinking then turned his attention to the mare. For a moment something sparked in her eyes. So she had a temper, not yet broken. She bowed her head as she should and spoke calmly to him without a noticeable trace of fear in her voice. Her added platitude was something from her previous life that would be better left obliterated from her vocabulary. Horus turned his cold eyes to his son. "How long have you had her?" His eyes bore into his sons. "She shows no fear of you yet and she responds too slowly. She thinks too much still, it is the first thing you should take from her. She may be salvaged, if you can even curb her." His words were ice.

The stallion ground his teeth furiously. It seemed that Jesenya had done that last bit on purpose. Even after he had instructed her not to add any embellishments on the greeting, and yet she had done so anyway. Grinding his teeth in frustration the stallion's ears pricked forward at his father's words. It was not entirely his fault that Jesenya was still like this. He had only come across her within the past few days. He had not had time to work on getting Jesenya to a point where it would be a satisfactory result that Horus would have wanted.
His expression changed to a sullen look at he stared at his father. Stalling for time would not work in this instance and instead Nemesis Dazbog cast a glaring, piercing stare at Jesenya, almost as if he were daring her to contradict him, as he replied. "I have not had more than two days with the mare father. I cannot curb all undesirable behavior in such a short period of time."
Nemesis Dazbog sighed before watching his father. The truth would come out eventually and so he figured he might as well mention what had transpired. "I brought her back with me because I found her on our lands. I figured that it was best to bring her to you so that you could decide her fate. I attempted to do the best I could in such a short period of time."
At that comment Nemesis once again fell silent. It would be now up to Horus to decide what lay in fate for Jesenya’s future. He had hoped that her beauty would make up for her deficiencies in the meantime at least. Having a mare that could heal would surely also count in his favor. Even if Jesenya was only a half uni she could still heal small injuries. She could still be a boon to the herd.

Jesenya had to hold in the grin that wanted to emerge hearing the stranger rebuke Nemesis. The mare believed that her "captor" deserved being chagrined. It seemed fitting. Jesenya was not much for being paraded around and she almost walked away from the pair in boredom. Although hearing Nemesis describe how long she had been with him and why he had brought her here was something that kept her nearby for the moment.
She wanted to seriously take it to Nemesis that she did not believe his claim that she had been a trespasser. Although a quick glance to his father made her hold her tongue. There was something about that stallion that caused her to remain silent and observe for the moment. It was strange. Instead Jesenya let out a rather loud sigh before sidling to and fro. She was restless and did not appreciate being on display like a piece of art. What was going to happen to her now?

"Two days," Horus' voice echoes as his eyes bore into the mare's face. "It is not long, but you could have done better. I give her to you, break her Nemesis. Make her respect you and help us as we need. If she does not cooperate, then I shall have your sister pull her apart bone by bone."
He smiled wickedly at the mare, "Welcome to your new home."

Nemesis merely nodded in acquiescence to Horus's words. He had a feeling that this could have been a possible reaction. Although hearing the unpleasant fate that could be bestowed on Jesenya if he failed to break her was unsettling. The stallion glanced to Jesenya to catch the mare's horrified gaze lock on to his. He merely remained silent. Let her imagination supply the images. He was feeling that she would be more cooperative now with that threat resting over her head.

Jesenya felt fear flood her system at what lay in store for her. Her heartbeat quickened at the images that had been painted in her mind. Was that what her future now held? The mare felt her gaze lock onto Nemesis’s own and the mare found no help in that direction. There was nothing or no one that could help her out of this mess. The words spoken to her by the one in charge seemed to seal her fate. Jesenya trembled with the certainty of the unknown closing in on her. It seemed as if she had no say in the matter about what would happen next. Her eyes closed as she felt Nemesis near her position. His not so gentle nudge indicated that he wished for her to start walking. Feeling as if her life was falling apart the mare complied with the demand in silence.
Welcome to her new home indeed.
