Where do you Rp the most frequently on Gaia? Where do you find your partners? Does anyone RP on other websites? I'm curious!

I used to use Barton Town to find my RPs but it's such a hassle these days, it seems like all the good people migrated to guilds to get away from the crap.
All my old partners were from when I started RPing here back in 2004 and we just sort of migrated from one story to the next. I tried other websites but even the literate people weren't that good.
So, I figure stay with what I know, which is here and just end up that creepy old person amongst a bunch of teenagers.

A Simple Pawn Where do you Rp the most frequently on Gaia? Where do you find your partners? Does anyone RP on other websites? I'm curious! I pretty much only RP in guilds like these. Often if you put up a thread asking about a 1x1 someone or other will respond, or you can sift through some of the group rps if you would prefer to have more than one partner. I pretty much only use gaia as well just because I like the organization of the rps here best~

XD Though not by much, my ex still skulks around Gaia and he's in his thirties. Honestly I don't mind it though, it just means I get more time with RP buddies. I found out very early on that the older RPers tended to have less time for actual roleplaying and would post less frequently because so much more demanded their time. High schoolers... you've got, what, 6 hours most of the week and maybe a part time job? Then there's vacations from school, days off work, etc. I may be older but I have a lot of time so having partners with around as much free time to devote makes me happy.

Ah haha you do win xD one of my best friends on this site is 25 though, so I feel it xD But I agree. I'm a college student with a part time job, so pretty much when I don't have like.. a big project or a final, I'm totally free to be on the internet... And am on here most days, and it does make it easier to post with the younger folk that can be on more often haha

My B-day - September 1989 (26 1/4 yrs old?)
My story sounds a lot like what you folks are saying, but it also offers me a little hope! I started here on Gaia in 2004, RPing in guilds. Thereafter, I moved to PMs, then e-mails... it seemed like a natural progression. But I lost touch with her, and I rejoined the RP world on Twitter since I felt too constricted and untrusting of Gaia's imposed PG-13 regulations. It's not that I RP adult content, but I don't like feeling like the possibility isn't even entertained you know?
So I did Twitter for a while. But, things have thinned out there. I tried forums, but I'm running into big-o-problems finding a partner.
As far as time goes - it's true. I don't have much time to dedicate to RP, but I have a higher caliber of reply in comparison to the folks on Twitter who lurk on the timeline and hashtags all day long. I hope that my replies are worth waiting for because it's true that a degree of patience is required to be a partner of mine. Otherwise, neither of us would end up happy. smile

I'M SO YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!! I was born in 2000! I'm a teenage girl. I've been on Gaia since 2013. I RP in Guilds and Forums mostly-Forums more. Sometimes I do PMs if it's 1X1 and the other person only does PMs. How do I find partners? Join a Guild and someone's gonna like you. Besides that *shrug* I go to the RP Recruiting Forums and see if anyone's looking. I'm in a few 1X1s. I'm a...semi lit-lit RPer. 1-2 paragraphs on average. I'm in high school, but I'm on gaia a lot. Not during class, but sometimes at lunch and otherwise just at home because obsessions. You're all old people. xp (*is being that person*)

LOL Like I said, most of my friends on here are High Schoolers anyways xD but that's alright, cause y'all are generally quite fun to RP with. My replies depend on who I'm RPing with though. If you write me 4-5 paragraphs, I'll probably write you that much back, but my general range is 2-3 haha And A Simple Pawn, I'm sure for the most part people won't be too worried about that, just let them know you're sort of busy^^ Another nice thing about RPing with other old folk like us, is that even though we like the quick replies, we're also much more understanding about needing to attend to real life biggrin

I usually only RP in guilds like these, too. But I'm open to a lot of different genres and story lines! Mostly 1x1 romance stories 'cause I'm a slave to my romantic side, but adventure and fantasy aren't too close behind.

I used to RP in the old guilds back in the day. Not sure about the towns since I saw people doing inappropriate adult-themed RPs/cyberings out in virtual public (and it gets a bit ridiculous).
I was planning to do casual RPs within zOMG (family-friendly ones) back when the game was still available, but my old account got hacked years ago, so I had to make this one. I guess I meet a variety of new RP partners, though some of them are either inactive for several months (maybe more than a year) or have quit on me immediately. Sometimes, I feel as if I'm boring people out even though I try not to be illiterate and run out of ideas, which is why I perceive some people quit without letting me know. Needless to say, even with fewer RP partners left, I usually wonder if I should quit RPing for good or keep going, although I need to put myself on hiatus one of these days due to other things in life. I still RP in the guilds as of today, though not as much as I used to back then.
I've registered in 2007, btw. And if I remember correctly, I lost my old account around 2010-ish (and I wish I didn't forget my old username). I'm currently doing another RP in a different site at the moment...

I started out in guilds when I came back to Gaia in 2009. I did try to roleplay at different websites but....it wasn't the same....not to mention I got *bleep* confused.
I usually do 1 x 1's because it's easier, but now i am doing a group rp (Land of Kankyo). And I almost try to avoid those guilds that are based on one story, and your character has to travel from one thread to another since well...in my experience, it's always inactive within a good couple of weeks. I do like the idea of a guild based off one story, but the in-activeness is a pretty high-chance of getting.
BTW: I am 20....you ain't the only oldie... (I was in Gaia since 14)

I have 7 tumblr rp blogs. Two of which are multi-muse.
Gaia is a better platform for me to do group roleplays. I haven't been in an active rp guild in a while.
