She was cutting through the park again, kind of later in the evening, using it to get to an area she liked to keep an eye on. It was this quick run through the park though, where she felt a signature she wasn't used to feeling. Chaos.

Sedna stilled, turning towards the direction of the energy, her brows knitting briefly.

Chaos, and a bit stronger than her. Still, she was on her own, because she hadn't made much connections with others of Order to go patrolling with---and it wasn't like she could just ignore that signature if they were up to something, right!? On the plus side, the signature was alone, and she probably needed to stop standing here and thinking about it, because the other had sensed her by now as well.

Mind made up, Sedna dashed towards the signature, leaping through the brush and landing on her feet. The other came into sight, and Sedna blinked at the black bodice and the insane amount of hair---hrm. She was definitely sensing a theme here with these types of...senshi.

She paused though, a respectable distance away in case the corrupted decided to lash out at her, but close enough that she didn't need to raise her voice to speak to her. Luckily, there were no civilians around---for the moment. Sedna raised a hand in greeting, not exactly sure what she should be doing with her face in front of these kind of senshi, so her eyes were a bit wide and her lips a bit twisted.

"Hey!"
PostPosted: Mon Nov 30, 2015 5:59 pm

Chrysocolla kicked her legs in the night air uselessly, lips moving as her hands flickered fast as anything - stumbling here and there, but she had a speech (well, could it really be called a speech if her voice was never used? That was sign language for you) tomorrow in third period, and powering up got her exercise and got her out of the apartment. Generally she henshined down whenever anyone got too close if they were second-level or higher, if they weren't members of the Negaverse like her, but -- first-level. Maybe not aggressive. A target to be kind to.

So when Sedna spoke to her, she turned in her seat and waved, hands instantaneously stilling and dropping to her lap. "...You can come closer...! I'm not going to bite...please don't be scared or anything. I don't want to fight." Chrysocolla laughed a little nervously, shoulders pulled tight with nerves. "I've had enough of getting things broken by your people, so I just hope you guys won't do it now..."

She was almost waiting for the other shoe to drop, and did another quick mental check to make sure there were no other auras around. There weren't though, and Sedna relaxed considerably. This other....senshi....she seemed alright...

"Well---yanno---as long as you don't, then I don't, either!" Plus it helped she wasn't yanking any star seeds or draining energy and...well...Sedna tried not to dwell on the thought of how many this senshi possibly had in the past. If at all? Hrm. Maybe wishful thinking...

The senshi did indeed step closer though, her hand lowering back to her side, blinking as she approached. "My people...?" She echoed, her brows knitting. "You mean...um...senshi wearing white...?" Yikes. Generalization...she wasn't sure how she felt about that...but hadn't she been doing it too, when it came to the Negaverse...? Then again, every one of those she had met so far hadn't given her a reason not too...except maybe for that one guy who had first drained her...

Chrysocolla visibly relaxed at Sedna's admission of not wanting to fight, patting the still-empty rest of the bench. "Come on, sit down...and, um, yes. Senshi wearing white...anyone wearing white. All of them like to attack me, even though I don't really want to fight. It always hurts." She winced, remembering past wounds, and simultaneously conveniently managing not to mention she was usually the aggressor. That wouldn't do to mention, not if she wanted to seem harmless and nice.

Up this close, aside from the splintered holes in her chest and in her forehead (the chest was nasty, too; looking into it granted glances of what might have been a starseed - but blotched by black at junctions, like an outline.), Chrysocolla could look like any other teenage girl. ...well, if you ignored the five feet of hair, too. She knew this, and she tried to play it up -- it wasn't hard to be shy, to be genuine, to be soft and fragile. After all...that's all she was as a civilian.

Sedna wandered closer, stilled at the bench, and after a moment settled onto the other end of it. Not right next to Chrysocolla, but not on the end of the bench either. "Well, um---are you....uh----yanno....doing things that make the people in white attack you?" There was something kind of child-like about this...senshi, and sitting so close to her, Sedna did take the time to take a closer look at her. The splintered holes, of course, took the most of her attention. They were just like the ones she had seen on Haüyne at the carnival...

"Hey uh...." She lifted a finger to point, but immediately put it down. "...Why do you have a hole in your chest and forehead...?" In the chest where the star seeds went..."Are you...a senshi?"

"No," Chrysocolla countered, looking offended Sedna would even think that of her - she furrowed her brow and puffed her cheeks, mouth a fine line; an endlessly childlike behavior. "I don't even know how to fight, anyways...! They just - they always see me, and all of this, and they think I'm evil. But I'm not." There was something a little desperate about her emphasis, both convincing herself and convincing Sedna; but it wasn't sad-desperate. It was...well. It was hard to place.

"Oh, um -- the holes are kind of metaphorical," she smiled meekly at Sedna, tapping the forehead one for emphasis. As far as her gloved fingers touched, it might have just been colored skin; or at least it appeared that way. "I am a Senshi, yes, but I work with and for the Negaverse to protect Earth. All of the Senshi on your side have a tiara, and you all usually have a bow -- when I joined, I lost both of those. They don't hurt, or anything...! You can touch, if you want."

"Uh...." Sedna's brows furrowed. This was conflicting. She didn't know a whole lot of senshi...but the ones she did know...they wouldn't have attacked without proper provocation...she hoped. "W-well...maybe you're just coming across some uh...not so nice senshi...they're...not all like that."

Maybe just like how...not all of these...senshi were...

Sedna gasped, and then stared at Chrysocolla with a horrified expression. She almost couldn't believe the words that came out of the senshi's mouth. Was....was it a joke? A really bad one? "The Negaverse...protecting the earth...?" She echoed in disbelief. "...How is the Negaverse protecting the earth? All---all I've seen them do is harm others!"

"Most of them are like that," Chrysocolla countered, frowning. "I used to just go out and sit on rooftops, I wouldn't even be doing anything, but...I'd still get Senshi and Knights coming for my blood just for existing. I have a reason for doing this just like you do, you know." Her brows furrowed, almost a mirror of Sedna's.

"We need energy to sustain our space. ...as far as space goes...you're all from there, you know? Earth is the only planet that can still sustain life. There was...a war, a thousand years ago, and the Senshi all wiped each other out." She sounded distant, reciting a story that was as true to her as religion was to many. "For hundreds of years, this has been our planet, and we've kept it. But...in the last ten years, or so...lots of you have been waking up. We don't know why."

She took a deep breath.

"But the planet isn't meant to _sustain_ this much magic. It's dying, trying to power all of you up." Chrysocolla reached out, placing her hands over one of Sedna's earnestly. "The energy we take from people, it all has to go back to the Earth. There's one of us -- her name's Alkaid, she's beautiful, but...from what I heard - she found her way to her planet, somehow. And it was dead. It'd been already dying, but because she'd become a Senshi, what little life was left she killed without meaning to. And it...changed her." She blinked, surprised at how many words had just come out of her mouth. "Oh, um - I'm sorry, did I talk too much? Sometimes I just sort of start talking, and --" her cheeks blushed petal-pink, soft. "It just...comes out."

"But not all." Though Chrysocolla brought up a good point. They had a reason too, and it was important to understand that to learn why the Negaverse did what they did.

Sedna's brows were still skeptically furrowed as she listened. The more the corrupt went on, it was with an awed, but still horrified interest that the senshi took it in. A war? A thousand years ago? Senshi wiped each other out? The planet was dying? As Sedna took this in, it was with a huge helping of disbelief and hesitance. Her own personal experiences grossly contrasted with this picture Chrysocolla was trying to paint.

She was startled out of her thoughts by feeling the other's hand on her's, and she started out of surprise. She looked down at the hand on her's, and froze. Black eyes darted back up to the other, and her brows knitted even further. "...But the Negaverse...those of the Negaverse...they'll stab others---they'll physically harm others who pose no threat. They'll take star seeds from innocent people---the Negaverse will force innocent civilians hands to bolster their ranks---I know---I've seen it. What kind of saviors tell others join or die?" There was a desperation in her voice---a desperate hope for more knowledge.

"Enough." Chrysocolla just sounded sad, then, sadder than she had to - but she was a child, after all. She was bound to take things hard. Wasn't she?

She sighed, heavy, shaking. "...We use the weapons we're given. We do what we can to make things painless. But...we're an army, too. And like any army, um...there's going to be people who go too far. We can't rein them in. There's not enough of us to do that. And - what are you talking about?" She bit her tongue, poking it between her teeth. "Forcing civilian hands...? Did something happen recently? If it did, it was all lower-level people...it definitely wasn't something General-Queen Laurelite approved. She wouldn't do that." The confusion was genuine. "She's very polite, very gentle...join or die isn't her style. She's the one who brought me in, after all. Every time you talk about the Negaverse, you're generalizing. You only see the worst of us. We just want to protect Earth -- you're the intruders."

There was really only one word to describe Sedna's expression: baffled. Utterly baffled. She couldn't even fathom what she was hearing---and it almost felt like one big joke---except the earnest sincerity in which the corrupt spoke. She truly believed it. It was all a matter of personal perception.

"At an abandoned carnival---" Sedna cleared her throat. "Negaverse agents, and at least one senshi like you---they kidnapped civilians and gave them only two options: join or die." A general-queen, huh? By the name of Laurelite? She made note, and was going to ask around to more experienced knights and senshi about this general-queen. "Well, of course she's gonna be polite and gentle---more bees with honey and what not---Hey!" Sedna pointed a finger at her, her eyes a bit wide. "You're generalizing too, and I'm speaking from personal experience! The Negaverse has only ever brought me harm, and it's been the senshi in white and the knights who have saved me from it---and trust me, girlie, I've had more than a handful of run-ins---and I haven't seen much good---"

So she couldn't even entertain the thought of Order being intruders.

"Wait," Chrysocolla blinked, "another corrupt? What did she look like?" The thought it could have been Amphitrite made her smile absent-mindedly -- her sister was such a go-getter! "If you describe them, I could tell you who it was, probably! But no, um...the carnival was...individual agents. I didn't hear anything about that, and if it was planned, I would have. The problem is that our organization, um...when you can give anyone power and it doesn't need a cat and a pen...it tends to bring out the worst of people." A gentle little wince crossed her face. "Most of them fill their quotas and don't infight, so nobody really looks into it...but I know lots of Negaversers aren't very kind. I'm sorry for them."

She really did sound genuinely annoyed at her -- brothers-in-arms? Coworkers? There was a word for it, but neither of those covered it. " -- a-and I'm not a girlie! I'm fifteen! That's old enough to be something more than that, I'd think...!" Fifteen...might have been pushing it, if she was out of uniform, with the softness of her face. But with the cracked holes and the almost-dangerous neckline of her fuku...no. Fifteen was accurate.

"Even when I'm powered down, no Senshi or Knights have ever helped me out! Youma don't like us either, you know...!" Chrysocolla pouted. "Something about -- they know where we came from, I guess..."

Sedna opened her mouth, and was actually about to launch into a description of the executioner corrupt senshi, but stopped. It was a mental image of Sergei with his 'no' expression saying 'no' and also reminding her that if she ran her mouth, if could get her into trouble. As far as she knew, the corrupt senshi had only guarded over her and Lily that night, so if this senshi got back to that senshi about this encounter tonight in relation to the carnival---it might not be good. Definitely might not.

"I---I can't remember too well. It was dark and it was scary at the time, y-yeah? I just distinctly remember the---holes." She gestured to her chest and forehead. Woah. Negaverse agents didn't need cats or pens to turn powered? That was a scary thought. When she had been wanting a solution, when she'd been wanting to turn magical as well, Polaris had told her there was no way she could make her a knight---only that some higher power could...so if she had been found by someone else...

Her life would be drastically different right now, and that was a chilling thought.

Sedna blinked, and her brows disappeared into her bangs. "You're only fifteen?" She echoed, looking horrified. "Well, you definitely are a girlie then!" Sedna didn't have too much room to talk, but at least she was legal. The senshi frowned softly, sympathetically upon hearing that no senshi or knights ever came to the girl's rescue...and maybe her life would be different, too, if they had...and maybe Olga had just been incredibly lucky as well.

"Um...where do you come from...? How do you become...what you are?"

Chrysocolla frowned at Sedna's inability to provide a description, but it was impossible to tell if she could place it as a last-minute backpedal or if she really believed the memory failure. Whichever was the case, she wasn't going to push it. "Oh, okay...I figured if you could tell me, I could figure out who it was and ask them why the hell they did that? But if you don't remember, that's fine, I don't want to stress you out or anything." She smiled sheepishly, twirling a stray strand of hair. "There's not too many of us, as far as I've met?"

Sedna's horror was met with an indignant huff. "Yes, I'm fifteen! Do I look younger or something?" Puffing her cheeks out, she certainly did, if only by a year or two. "I'm one of the younger members of the Negaverse, I know that, but it doesn't mean I'm any worse at my job than anyone else...! A-and, um, by 'where we come from'...even though we're on the right side - " Chrysocolla winced - "we're still Senshi. The youma...don't like that. At all. So they go after us just as much as they go after you. But they're all hurting, they're hurting really bad...so I can't blame them too much."

Whew---dodged a bullet there, she thought. She was indeed glad then she'd been able to catch herself and not blab about the executioner corrupt...they and that Pyrophanite had been pretty intent on keeping her and then killing her so...yeah. Yeah. Also, it was kind of whiplash inducing how nice this senshi of the Negaverse was...

Also good to note. Not a lot of senshi with holes in their foreheads and chests.

Sedna snorted. "It's not that you look younger, it's that you're fifteen and in the middle of all this magical stuff!" She waved her hands as she spoke. "You're really young to be doing---well, things!" Sedna winced too, but only because Chrysocolla was so insistent that the Negaverse was the right side.

"The youma are...hurting...?"
