Tertio Rome: A Brief History and Explanation of.
Unlike their Grecian counterparts the Roman Demigods did not just established a camp for themselves to hone their skills but also built up a small community in which they could live after their term of service was over. It was almost like a safe-haven where Demigods and Legacies could live without having to venture out into the Mortal Realm and put themselves or their families in danger. The original version of this settlement was called "New Rome" and it not only housed retired Demigods but entire families that spanned back to the founding of Camp Jupiter. The buildings were reminiscent of Ancient Rome and there were plenty of opportunities open for the retirees; they could open up small businesses and expand or even go to University within the City and earn a degree that was transferable to the Mortal World.
Tertio Rome is a rushed reconstruction of New Rome with "Tertio" literally translating to "Third". Many of the famous buildings and social aspects of New Rome have been transferred to Tertio but there are still some teething pains that need to be worked through before everyone can make the transition. There are limited University places now and some of the Replica Roman Buildings are still somewhat under construction but, all in all, Tertio Rome is a nice place for Roman Demigods to venture into during their free time. It stands in direct opposition to New Byzantium, the Greek East Bank, and a friendly rivalry (sort of) has brewed between the two. There are many sporting competitions held to see which of the two small towns is better.
The city is still rather beautiful despite the slight gloom that hangs over it and thanks to the Pomerium Line that has been reconstructed by a weakened Terminus... Tertio Rome is safe. If the line should fail then the Legion shall not.
