She really liked being in school---despite the crazy things that had happened. As they rolled down into finals, Olga found herself wondering what exactly she was going to do to fill the time over winter break. Of course there were always things to write and things to read and things to ship, but without school happening for that month, well...hrm. She'd figure something out! Olga stepped out of the library and adjusted her bag, but paused as she caught sight of someone. Hey. Hey that guy--- She remembered seeing him when she was escaping from the carnival that one night. The immediate impulse, which she acted on, was to go talk to him. Olga dashed forward, bobbing and weaving around some straggling students. "Hey!" She called out. "Heeeeeeey, guy!" Of course, it wasn't really clear who she was trying to address, but she ended up catching up to him and tapping him on the elbow. "Hey---" And it just belatedly occurred to her---that they had been almost forced to make a choice that night. Join or die...hopefully he hadn't... Kapoodles Hope this is okay! If not, let me know! : )

School at this point was the only place that felt safe, atleast during the daylight hours. His apartment felt dangerous, his neighborhood felt dangerous, anywhere once the night fell was terrifying, though he never showed it on the outside. That anxiety only ever sprung up when he was alone. And hell, it wasn't until recently he felt this way too. After having been held hostage at an abandoned Carnival, he just had so much trouble keeping his thoughts together outside of class. Was he still safe? When did they even take him? What if he were to be taken again? Who could stop them..? Well, there were those powered people who were kind and came to save him, but.. It's not the same, he couldn't defend himself. Aaah, there was no use dwelling too long on such thoughts, bu t he still couldn't shake off an uneasy feeling. Before he realized it, the class he was sitting in was released by the professor, and he was forced to face the reality that was the trip by foot back home. And just as he was leaving the the building he was stopped with his elbow being tapped. He quickly turned around, startled, but willing to talk. Of course it couldn't have been the Negaverse. Not in the bright daylight. Not in the middle of campus, right? "O-oh.. Excuse me did you need--" When his eyes met the ones of the miss who stopped him, they grew wide, so wide! He knew this face, he know this person, if only faintly, and his jaw dropped just a bit. "You.. You were there.. Oh gods, you were there, weren't you...?" He whispered softly to her, his hands coming up to rest on her shoulders. "You got out safe! Thank the gods..." Or did she... Did she give in and become one of them..? "We should talk.. not here, but we should talk." Lucyal SO SO SO sorry this took so long to reply to! D: I lost the link! I'm adding it to my Profile list now!

If only she knew that his thoughts were mirroring her's! "Y-yeah---" Olga started, brows knitting briefly. Those words seemed so nice and sincere..he couldn't have joined, could he...? "Yeah---" This time the reply was a bit more firm as she gave a nod of her head, and she wracked her brain for an idea. Obviously going somewhere very secluded wasn't a smart idea---for obvious reasons, like, just in case, but going someplace where they could easily be overheard wasn't bright either. "Hey! Uh, you wanna go get a coffee or something at the nearby shop just off campus? They have some nice quiet corners in there, yeah?" Privacy enough, but still public. Just in case. If he hadn't made a choice, if he was okay...then she definitely really wanted to talk to him.

Lot's of yeah, huh? But with all they went through, it probably was hard to come up with proper words and keep it vague enough that the small swarm of people exiting classes couldn't know exactly what was happening. Though, there have been support groups made after that event.. Who knows how many other people in this crowd could have been part of it? "Coffee? Oh, yeah, sure. And it's getting kinda late, not that big of a rush, right? we'll talk. We can talk. I'm just so glad you're okay though, really!" After realizing what he was doing, he quickly moved his hands from her shoulders and reseated his backback, giving her a gentle smile. "A coffee sounds amazing.. All that worrying and classes plus exam time soon.. It's as if I have no energy now. You can lead, okay? I know of like.. Three coffee places within walking distance."

"Great---" Olga paused for a moment, looking him over before she couldn't help but smile in return, hoping that with how earnest and kind he seemed, that he had been spared from making a choice, too. "Yeah. Me too---and I'm glad you're okay too, and I think some others....I think they made it out okay too." She thought. She hoped. She started to lead the way to a coffee shop she frequented when she had the dollars, and the question was just nagging at her. As they drew away from the general crowd, Olga couldn't help but turn to Anxo as they walked, her face anxious, and her voice somewhat, for once, hushed. "You didn't make a choice---did you?"

Even though Anxo didn't know her very well, he felt that he could trust her. Perhaps it was the bit of camaraderie that came from experiencing utter horrors at the same time. Or maybe it was because of how readily she was to speak with him. She couldn't have joined them, she just couldn't! To his surprise, the woman spoke up first, asking the question that was weighing heavy on both of their minds. "No.. No I didn't... I escaped before then.. Did you..?"
