The booth isn't so much a booth as it is an
experience.
Several brightly colored strobe lights fill the area
with overwhelming visual stimulation, while
loud music thrums through the air, with an
echoey female voice singing wordlessly to a
pounding, almost tribal rhythm. At the start,
a small area is roped off for a photoshoot setup,
where you can take a selfie of yourself and
spice it up with Freya's filters and stickers.
Another area has a ton of glittery, sparkly
beads waiting for you to come and create
something for someone special in your life.
And at the end of the line is a giant table
covered in velvet cloth, and absolutely
overflowing with shiny silver gift bags that
all bear the
Vanir Couture logo,
and contain random gifts and pets within them.
Instead of sitting at one station, the host;
a well documented fashion model and
popular interweb celebrity blogger named
Freyaseems unable to stop fluttering around
in excitement, desperate to greet every student
and gab on incessantly about what is
new here at Amityville since her departure.
Her husband Kettil seems less flighty, as he
sticks by the beads table to help out
anyone who wants it. He may often be the
one who is carrying their toddler about,
a tiny valkyrie boil named Peder,
unless Freya has stolen him away to go
show him off to some old friend or new
acquaintance. Additionally, there seems to be
a computer set up to create fashion outfits
in order to win prizes, but another tab is
open with
Vanir Couture's website loaded,
ready for you to add your anonymous comments...
