Levi had put a lot of thought into the decision. He cared about Charlie, of course -- but they were very different people. It was hard, for Levi, to imagine being in a relationship with someone who took so few things seriously - he had thought it would be refreshing, but it just...wasn't.
He had texted Charlie that he was coming over - because if he was going to dump the man, he was going to do it in person. So he was waiting at the door of his apartment, shifting from foot to foot.
Better to get it over with. Honesty was the most important thing, here.Saint Sergio awkward closure rp go? orz

Charlie, having received the text, actually managed to clean up a bit. The blue haired man sensed that something was going awry in their relationship and he was trying to get things together. Since he'd learned he was also a Dark Mirror Senshi, things hadn't gone so well. Especially since Levi had basically screamed at him and made him feel like he didn't deserve his new title or powers... Oh well. With a hard sigh, he moved to the door and looked out the peep hole to see his boyfriend standing there looking pensive. That boded really well, didn't it? With a smooth movement, he opened the door and motioned the other inside. "Hey," he greeted. "Been a while."

Levi tapped his fingers against his arm, averting his eyes. "Yeah, it has," he said, and he stepped around Charlie to get into the apartment. Maybe that wasn't the best idea, but he could get this done as quickly as possible.
"I don't...think this is working out." Blunt, upfront, open. That was Levi, always, even if right now he was wishing he could convince himself to lie. To soften the blow. He was trying, even if it went against everything he normally was.
"Us." To make sure his point entirely clear. This was a thousand times harder than he had imagined it would be. Charlie still mattered to him, as a friend, but not as a boyfriend. And he couldn't pretend to feel something he didn't.

Just like that his fear was met and it felt like a blow to the stomach. Charlie looked to the side after watching him closely and finally shut the door behind him. Great. He could feel the pain building up as he swallowed a lump in his throat. Charlie figured this was going to happen. "Yeah?" He said, trying to keep bitterness out. "...I mean, I think that's a one sided feeling." He didn't bother to look at Levi as he moved around him, to get to his kitchen. Charlie needed a drink. He needed a drink to have this conversation and then needed more than one drink after everything was said and done. He opened a bottle of whiskey and forewent the glass, opting to drink from the bottle instead. After a long pull from it, he sniffed and looked at Levi for a moment. "If this is about that thing that you yelled at me about? I mean. I'm... probably not going to power up anyway." After Levi yelled at him about it, Charlie didn't feel like he deserved this power. He had no reason to fight in a war. "I mean. I... So you're going to break up with me, aren't you? That's why you came to see me after you haven't really contacted me for a while?" He swallowed a bit and then took another swig of the whiskey before going around Levi again to flop on his couch. Yet the bitterness he felt seeped through already. "Why?"

Levi grit his teeth. Of course this had to be extra hard - of course Charlie wasn't having the same doubts he was. That would have been way, way too easy. And nothing could ever be easy.
"It might be one-sided, but it'd be wrong for me to keep on going if I wasn't feeling the same way, right?" That seemed perfectly reasonable to him. Why keep going if it was a lie?
There was a sharp intake of breath. His eyes narrowed slightly, as he watched Charlie go to deal with his problems with a bottle. "Well, no, it wasn't, but now it kinda is," he said. "You can't just run from your problems, Charlie. I didn't want you to not power up, I wanted you to take this ******** seriously because it is serious." He reached up to push bangs away from his face, obviously frustrated.
"Yeah, I'm breaking up with you." There, it was out, it was out of the way. "Because of stuff like this, Charlie. Because you've never taken something seriously a day in your life, and - I mean, you know me. s**t matters to me. The Court, being a Senshi, that matters. And it doesn't matter to you." He shook his head slowly.
"I can't do this, Charlie." He couldn't keep being with someone lazy and uncaring, who gave up at the first sign that he might have to actually try. That wasn't who Levi was, it wasn't who he ever wanted to be - and it damned well wasn't who he ever wanted to date. "I thought I could deal with it. I can't. Maybe I thought I could make you better - obviously, I can't. So. Yeah. I'm definitely breaking up with you."

"Yeah well, ********. Fine. Just go then." It hurt. He was so angry and just hurt over this and he flopped down on his couch and crossed his arms over his chest. So much for trying to be a relationship person. It never worked out. Charlie didn't even look at Levi right now. His face was red and his eyes were definitely tearing up even as he dabbed at them with his ******** just go. Whatever." This made him not want to power up even more. If he did he'd run into Levi as Elsa and that would be too hard. He felt his heart breaking a bit. "Honestly I can't believe I fell for you. Yeah. I said it. I fell for you, Levi and you mean to tell me. Never mind. You already did the damage so just.." He waved his hand and dismissed him. It was easier for Charlie to blame Levi than himself for this break up. He had seen it coming but he was hoping they could talk it through or something, but it seemed he was stupid to think that. He was stupid for ever getting involved with Levi in the first place. "Bye Felicia."

Levi couldn't say he hadn't expected this - but it still sucked. It sucked to watch Charlie hurt, and it sucked to know it was because of him.
"Goodbye, Charlie," he said, and he started heading for the door. It would have been worse to drag it out, he reminded himself, it would have been worse to lie, to pretend - because it would have bubbled over and been so much worse than a...well, than this. Somehow. It would have been worse somehow.
He didn't want to think about what Charlie was saying, abut how he was breaking Charlie's heart. He walked out the door, and shut it behind him, and for once wished that he was more capable of lying, even to himself.

As soon as the door was shut, Charlie threw the bottle of whiskey he'd been drinking from at it and let out a scream that held no words. It was the anger he felt at himself, at Levi, at the world. It hurt. This sucked. They couldn't even work it out! There was no love for him in Levi's heart and that's probably what hurt the absolute most.
