If there was one thing Takka could never get enough of, it was potions. Healing ones? No. All potions. Concoctions, brews, elixirs, poisons, tonics...he couldn't have enough. He couldn't get enough. It bordered on weakness, and Takka was full aware of this fact (well, he liked to think he was). Not only could he use them for trade or personal study and use, he also simply enjoyed...well...

The stallion had tossed his head to look behind. In his private quarters lay his horde of trinkets, ingredients, food stores, props...and bottles. So many bottles. Containers. Holders. Slings. Skins. Calabashes. Cases. Some glimmering, some matte, some cracked, some perfect, all gorgeous.

He needed more.

That was twenty minutes ago. Takka continued to search for someone to trick trade with as he moved through the trees, hitting an opening every so often. The spottier the forest grew, the more on-edge Takka became. He enjoyed his deep, dark woods. He preferred his solitude (with the occasional necessary business-related interruption), his mystery, his facade. It was where he felt most comfortable, most confident. But this was becoming unknown territory. And the more tense the male became, the more his sharpness dulled. Someone with foggy focus could be taken advantage of. But Takka was too caught up in his lust for a new brew to adorn his lair to notice.

He cut a long glance at the "elixirs" hanging beneath his stole. He had the trading material. All he needed was to bump into someone who wanted to swap items. Why was it always the most difficult to find someone right when he wanted to trade the most?!

"HRNGH!!" the male grunted loudly as he stumbled. He'd run right into something and nearly tripped.

"WHAT IN--" he spun sharply, and when he was met with empty expanse, he felt the urge to look down.

Witty retorts and angry curses left him like steam and he stared at the face beneath him with something akin to suspicion.

Myst knew she was small, relished in the fact actually. She was fast and small and could hide easily, figure out things that others didn't want her to know. Or anyone else to know. At least, that's what she told herself. Myst was new to this place and didn't know anyone, not to spy on or trick.

Well, now she did, she supposed.

Dusting herself off with one dark glare at the stallion that had tripped over her. With glowing red eyes she looked up at the orange stallion, and huffed. "Do you always walk around with your head in the clouds, or is today special?" She quipped at him, pausing for a second to nose at the vials she'd been carrying, making sure they weren't broken.

The vials were beautiful, red, blue, and orange crystal, faceted so they collected the light and made the water inside look like crystal rainbow. It was beautiful, which is why she had them.

"You're lucky your didn't break these. They are worth a lot." She put herself between him and her vials, since it wasn't exactly easy to carry them. Myst had been planning on trading them to someone if she got into trouble. They might be be worthless for all she knew. They were just pretty trinkets she thought might be worth something. Might keep her out of trouble.

Like she could be in right now.

Large stallions, or mares she supposed, did have the advantage of size and strength, but she was small and fast and could probably get away in the underbrush if she needed too. Myst wasn't scared, or anything, just prepared. Anything could happen, after all.

"You should be more careful. You'd think with those giant wings of your's, you'd have to pay attention to where you are going, lest you hit a tree or something while you flew."

Flipping some of her white hair out of her eyes, she got a good look at the stallion she was facing, noting the bone mask and the rib like markings on his side. He was obviously some type of Kalona, with those wings and those horns, but mixed with... something. Myst wan't sure about all the different breeds yet. Figures that she would run into one of the most fowl tempered breeds that there was.

"What, are you gonna stare at me all day or are you gonna apologize for tripping over me, you big oaf?" Myst stomped her hoof on the ground, petulant and childlike. Sometimes it worked, letting others thing because she was small she was still a child. Mind games worked wonders against others, and they were fun to play. Even when the opponent was a big, bright Kalona who might try to trample her if she stepped out of line.

The snide remark that met Takka's ears was even more surprising than the stature of the one he'd literally bumped into. His lip curled into a light sneer, but as he listened to her ramble on about her vials, he stuffed down his rage. Hm, those vials...sparkling, taunting...what did they contain? His annoyance was brushed (mostly) aside for a more worthy focus: obtainment.

Takka was in the acquaintance of a wide array of traders and crafters. They served him well, and he served them in return. He enjoyed business. As much as this...small mare was everything the stallion despised in a conversation partner (chiefly being a mare at all), there was potential for a business relationship before him. He needed more supplies. That was his goal. But Takka was not a master of his temper. In fact, it quite often mastered him. While he was interested in the product the girl carried, Takka was no sweet-talker. And as his buttons were pushed again and again by sharp tongue and bitterly red eyes, the male found himself sinking deeper and deeper into anger until it threatened to consume him completely. The vials glinted. He hardened his gaze.

In a split second, the stallion's answer to the imp was both wing thumbs pointed mere centimeters from the sides of her neck. He was bent to her level, green eyes blazing through his skull mask, a dark smirk on his lips.

"With these giant wings of mine," Takka mirrored lowly, sweetly, "I don't have to pay much attention to an-y-thing." He cast a glance to the shimmering rainbow arched around the frail neck and then backed off.

"I won't apologize," he stated, folding his wings, "but I will make you an offer for those vials, if you're willing to sell..." his voice trailed, implying mirth, though his eyes offered little warmth. His stress on the word "if" hung in the air. If? If not, he could take the vials by force. What fight could such a small creature possibly offer? Her smart mouth had better come with a smart brain, he mused with grim humor. Green bored into red and he waited.

Myst saw his attention shift from her to the vials she had with her and back again. Apparently, they held some interest to him. Which was a good thing, because a second later, the stallion was rather close and had spikes pointed at her neck. She swallowed around the fear that she could potentially die here, at the hooves of this idiotic Kalona.

Instead of showing her fear, though, she sneered right back at him, resisting the urge to toss her hair as it slipped in front of her eyes a bit. He didn't really intimidate her with his sickly sweet words and him bending down to be at her level. It was kind of insulting, but she had learned to live with such things. After all, when you are a lot smaller most of the inhabitants of a place, you get a lot of practice either ignoring rude things or fighting them.

With the spikes at her neck, it really wasn't worth fighting. Yet.

Myst snorted, tossing her hair out of her eyes the moment he pulled back, and she glared up at him. "You know, with that sort of thinking, one day you are going to run into something, literally, that will rip those wings right off." She really meant he was going to walk into a tree or something, but if he walked into a Skinwalker, the result would probably be the same. "Then what will you do, when you have to actually pay attention to things?" She asked, taking a few steps backward so she was standing protectively over her 'treasures' since he seemed so interested in them.

She found it slightly strange that he was more interested in her trinkets than in killing her, because that was the Kalona way, wasn't it? Still, Myst wasn't going to complain about ]I]that. Any day where someone wasn't trying to kill her was a good day.

Myst wasn't stupid, she heard the threat he didn't say, and she knew that her day could take a turn for the worst if she refused to 'sell' the trinkets. Since that was the reason that she had them in the first place, she wouldn't mind unloading them on the stallion. But, if she wanted to keep hi interested, she probably shoud act as though the had value.

"Hmm." Myst pretended to think it over for a moment, knowing full well if she didn't turn over the vials willingly, then he would just try and take them from her. Since they weren't worth fighting over, at least not to her, if he made a move, she would vanish into the underbrush. His posturing had given her plenty of time to make out a small break in the foliage that she would be able to fit through, but that the idiot stallion and his big wings wouldn't. "Make an offer, then. I'm always willing to sell." Tilting her head back, she gave him a look like she was assessing what he probably had to offer for the three pretty little vials, when she really was just taking another chance to plot her escape from him should he try to attack her."And be courtious when you offer, don't you know that flattery will get you more things that your ridiculous attempts at intimidation?"
