Terry glanced across at his opponent. It was certainly a close. So close that the Saturn Knight didn't know if he was going to be able to beat his foe. He held up his hand, tempted to hold his breath but instead took a deep one, and then opened his fingers to let the objects cradled fall. Purple eyes tracked the objects as they descended and hit, tumbling over each other in their bid to follow gravity and inertia. The tension mounted as they slowly came to a stop and revealed just what fate had in store for Terry at this point of time. "I landed home." He said while inwardly cheering then moved his car to the electric company place on the Monopoly board. He then gave Dominic a very small smile. "Your turn to roll."

Dominic was leaning over his set of property cards, mourning his need to actually forfeit one already given his measly collection of colored monopoly money and having just landed on the income tax space courtesy of one an unfortunate chance draw. The sight of Terry moving his little car to that space had him narrowing his eyes at the dice as he picked them up.
"Lucky roll," he said, lips flattened into a line. Slowly he shook the dice in his hand, hoping--no, praying--for a ten so he could land on the last open railroad on the board. "C'moooooooon..."
Eight.
"Damnit!" He lamented moving his tophat piece to the same spot as Terry's, wondering which one of his properties would be taken as payment for landing on the other man's property. He was on the verge of losing, losing, and in his own apartment! "I'm pretty sure these dice have it out for me..."

Terry glanced down at Dominic's side of the table, taking in his lack of funds, something they both shared, and which properties he had. He folded his hands together then rested his chin on his hands with a small smile. "I think it's against us both really seeing how most of our money is currently in the pot. And that will be $75 or your St. James Place title, please." He refused to act smug about this as he knew that his next roll was just as likely to land him in hot water like it had so many other times. _ p a o cx Now I'm tempted to roll dice on gaia to see where they land lol

With a grumble after a quick glance at his still-dwindling stack of money, Dominic surrendered his property card for St. James Place before grabbing the dice and rolling.
"We really should get back to the project," he said before giving a low whistle; he'd rolled an eleven so he swiftly moved his top hat the necessary amount of spaces, landing on his own property and rendering himself safe for at least a turn. With any luck he could make it all the way to Go! without hitting any of Terry's properties...particularly the blue ones at the very end of the line. Terry thanked him as he took the property and kept it at the ready. He had a feeling that before he could get into the 'safe zone' of his own properties he would probably be handing it back over to Dominic. He glanced over to where the papers that were the notes for the project were in a neat pile then looked back to the board as he rolled the dice again. "Sure and we will soon." He nodded at the other man's words. "But we probably could finish this up soon since we both are barely hanging in there." Not to mention there was still that last railroad no one had claimed. When he looked at the dice he let out a sigh then moved his car to Tennessee Ave and held up the St. James property title in anticipation. Yep, he knew he would be right. "Soon, huh?" he said as he tossed the dice again. Seven, so he moved his piece casually the needed number, then grumbled an expletive when he realized where he landed.
"Damn these dice!" he said as he moved his piece back to jail, making a face at it, then at Terry, then at the dice, then back to Terry. "I bought the dang pizza, man, I should be the one in the dice's favor. The hell..." With a sigh he started shuffling through his property cards, then his small stack of money, then he reached over for a reference book to begin idly going through it while Terry took his turn. "Well, soon relatively speaking anyway." Terry said as he watched Dominic make his move. He gave the other man a sympathetic look when he landed on the go to jail space. "On the bright side, you don't have to worry about landing on any of my properties any time soon?" Once Dominic had moved his peice, Terry picked up the dice and rolled only to let out a sigh when he landed on another of Dominic's properties. He was glad it wasn't the go to jail space though. "That one was $26 right?" He asked, having landed on the property another time during the game. "At least we aren't playing with houses, though if he had been the game would probably have been over a while ago." He chuckled.
