Oooooooh man. She had a sinking feel she had bitten off just a little more than she could chew, this time around. Sedna ducked as the bear-shaped youma swiped a claw at her, knocking over trash cans and spraying the litter everywhere all around the alley. She had ran across the youma, definitely deemed it something she needed to dust, and then charged right in---but failed to really fully analyze the situation. It would have been best to have tackled this with someone else. She hadn't made any good bonds like that yet though. Someone she could patrol with after dinner and sometimes far, far late into the night. She leapt back, brandishing the steel pipe she had pulled from a wall the alley. Yikes. Maybe she really should start though! The roar the youma let out seemed to be one of agreement.

Talking cats and goddamn monsters wandering around Destiny City. Who would have thought? Centisima heard the roar from around the corner. Not that he had been Centisima at the point, no, he’d been Jayce out for a walk, texting a friend a funny picture of a graffiti p***s he’d just seen at the bus stop. However at the sound of the roar, it didn’t take a genius to work out that Jayce wasn’t going to cut it. Nope this was Centisima’s moment! And boy did it feel good. The strength, the freedom, the sheer sense of ‘I’m a badass ********!’. It was with that exact thought that Centisima came leaping out of the sky (after a dash around the corner and a leap that went higher than he’d expected), fearlessly landing on top of the youma’s back. He didn’t really have the time to think how bad an idea that had been as he was forced to cling as the monster tried to violently toss him off.

Sedna's brows furrowed, before her expression suddenly shifted. She felt the aura before she saw him, and though it indicated he was the same as her---a friendly presence was more than welcome. It had her spirits soaring, especially as he appeared in sight and leapt onto the youma. So brave--- She let out something of a short awed laugh. "WOW---hang in there, guy!" She called to the other senshi, taking full advantage of the situation. While the youma was busy trying to toss him, Sedna leapt in and was wailing on the beast with the steel pipe. She swung full hits like she was hitting home runs, aiming for it's head. One, two, three, and it was noticeably starting to slow down. "Just a little more!"

It was a good thing this creepy bear monster had a good amount of hair because otherwise Centisima would have already tumbled sideways to his doom. As it was he was barely holding on and having to evade reaching claws. At least his compatriot was giving it a good go. “Hit it harder!” He yelled. "Yeah, like that! Damn girl!" The beast was taking some good solid blows to the head and Centisima decided to use his chance to bring home their win. Still gripping with one hand and his knees locked tight, he lifted his right hand. It was weird how instinctive it was. The words simply rolled off his tongue. " Venom Claw!" He shook his hand with the yell and a purple glow oozed out of his skin, coating his hand in the shape of a pincer. He didn’t hesitate but buried his attack into the back of the youma’s neck. It bucked and roared and this time Centisima lost his grip and tumbled backwards with a yell. Lucyal Dust that youma! Sailor Scout Attack: Venom Claw Centisima calls his attack and shakes out his right hand, coating it in purple light and giving the appearance of a centipedes’ forcipules. Touching his opponent causes redness and swelling, mimicking the effects of a centipede bite. The effect of the bite lasts for 30 seconds. This attack can only be used once per battle. If the attack is not used within 1 minute, the claw will fade.

"On it!" Sedna called back, her tongue poking out in concentration. Man, it was awesome that this senshi showed up when he did---and he was all over it too! She let out an impressed gasp as he used his magic though, eyes going wide in surprise and awe as his hand transformed, and was incredibly appreciative of how effective it was. The effect was immediate. If he had been hindering the youma before, he had really helped to neutralize it now. She was caught up in just being crazy impressed when the bucking, roaring, and the senshi's yelling snapped her out of it. Sedna pulled back the pipe with both hands, and struck it---right, left, right--- The last hit gave a satisfying crunch, and the youma stilled for a moment, before it exploded in a shower of dust. Sedna threw up a hand, managing to spare her face for the most part, but couldn't really stop her uniform from being covered. She coughed a bit as she let the steel pipe drop and roll to the side, crossing over the pile of youma dust to where Centisima was thrown quickly. "Hey!" She greeted as she drew closer, her eyes bright as she peered at him. "That was amazing!" She boomed. "Thanks for swooping in when you did! I definitely would have been in a lot of trouble without your help!" The senshi offered a hand to him, to help him up if he needed it. "I'm Sedna! Senshi of Ships!" She gave him a fox eyed grin.

Hitting the ground didn’t hurt as much as he’d expected it to in the half second he’d had before impact but it certainly knocked the wind out of him. Centisima swore in between gasping for breath and sucked up a good mouthful of youma dust when it rolled over him. At least it was dead and it wasn’t turning around to finish him off. After a few seconds he did at manage to push himself up into a seated position. He was still coughing when the other senshi approached, one hand lifting to give her a wordless ‘give me a second’ and the other covering his mouth. Ugh, disgusting. “Centisima,” he eventually replied. “Of Centipedes.” He took her hand, the one he hadn’t been coughing into and used it to get to his feet. Once he was up he flexed his right hand, the one that had recently been covered in a purple claw, and grinned. “I can’t believe that worked. Damn, I’m good.” He half-heartedly began brushing dust from his clothes. “So, uh, what was that thing?” The irritating talking cat had spent so much time trying to rhyme that he’d hardly absorbed any information. “Also hey, you’re pretty cute. Good job. You pummelled the heck out of it.” Centisima could certainly appreciate a lady who could fight.

"Centismia of whaaaaaaat---" Her eyes went wide in brief surprise before she let out a good natured laugh. "Wowzers! The magic powers really do cover all the things!" Now that she was closer to him though, she could see the details on his uniform, clear as day. If she hadn't been raised a farm hand all her life...she might have been squirming. Centipedes were wicked creatures. "Yeah you are! So your hand---" Sedna motioned to it once he was on his feet. "It turned into a centipede part and that's how you could do your attack!?" She grinned eagerly at him, elated, and being presented with the opportunity to tell him things, excitedly jumped onto it. "Oh! That was a youma---they're nasty critters sent out by the Negaverse---they're pretty dangerous, and all they do is attack others, especially civilians---Uh---" Her cheeks dusted a bit red at the compliment. "Th-thanks...!? Um---y-yeah! Pummeling! Gotta pummel those youma or they'll pummel you---" She paused for a moment, and her cheeks grew a bit redder, because she had been so caught up before in the excitement of meeting another senshi who saved her, that it took her a moment---it was another very attractive male. There went another tick mark in her head for the metal tally she was keeping. He further cemented the fact that all the hot people flocked to Destiny City. It really was like the internet. "So uh---how long have you been a senshi for!?"

Centipedes and ships. She was right. They were as far apart as you could get and he couldn’t help wonder what exactly she could do with her magic. Drop a ship on someone’s head? He hoped so. That would be pretty neat. Centisima flexed his hand again. "Yeah. I gotta do the hand shake thing too make it work. I’m not sure how I know it but I do." He shrugged. It was all part of the being magic now, he supposed. Some things just came naturally and then everything else you had to figure out on your own. Like the youma. Well, that as probably what that guy he’d fought when he’d first powered up had been. Except this one had been more animal than man, so maybe there were a whole lot of different types out there. "Three days," he answered, eyebrows arching in amusement when he noticed the rosy red of her cheeks. "And you?"

"Intuition!" Sedna replied with a wink. "Your magic is so cool though!" She couldn't help but gush once more, and then clapped her hands a bit. "Oooh! Newbie! Ah---almost two weeks!" She answered, and that kind of made her a newbie too, right? "But I've know all about this---" Here she made jazz hands, "Magic stuff for a few months now!" The senshi was about to talk more when she paused, and then pointed up. "Hey! Wanna take this conversation to the roof, guy?" She grinned at him. "I like to have a bird's eye view, yeah? Plus I don't wanna be cornered by anything---or one." She didn't wait for him to reply, and already made a run towards the nearby wall, where she then leapt and easily caught into the fire escape above. The senshi pulled herself up, and was then leaping up the stairs like a gazelle... If gazelles went up stairs?

His magic was cool. “You better show me yours sometime,” Centisima joked and then scratched his chin, pretty glad she was fairly new as well. It would have been embarrassing to admit he knew nothing to a pro. But if she’d already known about magic then- well, he guessed there had always been something weird about Destiny City and they did talk about masked vigilantes on the News. Centisima didn’t get a chance to respond. By the time he’d opened his mouth, she was going up. He cracked his knuckles and grinned, then jumped after her, marvelling again just how light and free being a senshi made him feel. This would have been impossible just a few days ago. He arrived in the roof and few seconds behind Sedna and then teetered on the edge as he stared back down to where they’d just been standing. “Whatever the price to this is, I’m willing to pay it.” He said mostly to himself.

"Oh, you bet! Not sure it's quite as awesome as what you did though." Once on top of the building, Sedna stood beside him and peered over the edge as well. "Be a bad time to be afraid of heights and be a senshi, huh?" She grinned at him, blinking briefly as she heard him talking to himself. "What's that?" She paused for a moment, before also tacking on: "If you got any questions, I'll try answering to the best of my ability---but I'm still trying to find a lot of answers myself! That aside, how did you become a senshi, huh!?"

"I reckon," he agreed, already planning on scaling the biggest, tallest buildings he could find in the city. Centisima stepped back from the edge and faced her, shrugging away her first question in regards to his mumbling and launching straight into the second. "Sure, I’ve probably got questions. I haven’t really thought about it too much." He was eyeing her hat as he spoke, his arms crossed and one finger tapping thoughtfully against a bicep. "I was at the club doing a show the other night and my girlfriend at the time wandered off with some guy, who turned out was some sort of spider man and then there was a cat- hey, can I try your hat on? And just so you know, I’m renaming you Captain Sedna."

"...You haven't?" Sedna blinked, a bit surprised at that. She was so darn curious and nosy, all she had were questions and thoughts since becoming powered. Well...no. She had those long before becoming powered as well. The senshi rocked on her heels a bit, linking her hands behind herself as she listened. "Oh? You do shows? Are you a musician or something?" She questioned excitedly, before her eyes widened. "A spider man and a cat? OH! You were awakened by a cat? What was the cats's---" She paused, blinking once more, before she glanced up at the rim of said hat. "Oh, yeah! Sure!" She laughed, and reached up to pull the hat off of her head. She looked it over for a moment, brushing the ribbon tassel that hung off the side before holding it out to him. "Gee, Captain! I like that sound of that!" She laughed once more. "Making me sound really pro!"

"I guess not. It was just unreal after I got home the first night and then the next day I had work and another show. I haven’t sat down and really thought anything over," he shrugged, though something in the back of his mind was definitely latching on to the idea of questions and compiling a list to be dealt with when he really sat down to think. Part of him still thought he’d been slipped some seriously good drugs. Centisima laughed. "Well, yeah," as if it should have been obvious. "I play the drums in a band called Pissing Orifice. We do gigs at clubs most Saturday nights. And yeah, it was a cat. Little dude, kept rhyming, Ni-something. Niki?" He accepted the hat as if a king’s crown was being bestowed upon him, placing it gently upon his head. "How do I look, Captain?" He asked as he struck a pose at the edge of a building, one leg up on the short brick railing and a hand to his forehead for scanning the horizon. "I’m ready to sail the seven seas!"

Sedna blinked. "...Oh." She blinked some more and was silent for a moment. "...I can't believe it!" She exclaimed, hands reaching up to grip her face. "I admire how you're just so--so--- so chill! I spazzed!" Like she was spazzing now. Her hands fell from her face. "Oh...that's an interesting band name! The drummer, huh? I bet you're beating off the ladies left and right!" She grinned at him. "Can I come see sometime---Oh my gosh!" Sedna gasped. "Nico!? Nicodemus! The cute little white kitten with the red hat? He awakened me too!" She clenched her fists and pumped them. She then flashed him another wide grin and two thumbs up. "You look super stellar and ship shape!" She laughed at the pose. " Do you have a little captain in you?" She teased, her voice dropping to playfully mimic the announcer voice from the commercials. "Do the Captain Morgan pose!"
