Snow was falling. She almost didn't recognize it for what it was, but as her hands rubbed together and her breath came out in a cold puff of air, she realized that winter was coming full force. She shrugged the jacket closer and blew a hot breath on her hands.
Luckily, the night wasn't too far along and the cafe's were open still with bright lights and warm coffee and hot chocolate. She shoulder the bag with her reading material and the newly acquired chromebook before hopping in.
A very pretty woman was before her in line and she tilted her head at her hair. Regan wasn't the type to compliment, but she loved the blue so much.
"Your hair...." She murmured....and that was about it.

Lavander blinked, looking around at the mention of hair, her gloved hand going up to touch it, wondering if it wasn’t looking good or something.
When she saw the one who had said something she blinked. “If you were talking about me, thank you very much, but if you weren’t…your hair is lovely too. It’s like the hair some lovely ice princess would have or something.” Without thinking, she reached out, fluffing one of the girl’s curls and winking.
“It’s a nice day for a hot drink isn’t it? I love the winter…it’s my favorite season…I mean, I’d rather have the snow around but not be so cold but…it’s the prettiest season, I think.”
There she went, off to ramble land. Oh well.

"Oh yes." Regan actually blushed a bit, but mostly from embarrassment. She had never talked to another woman without them degrading her in some way. The life of St. Mags.
"Ah...Yes. Popular for the winter time." She played with a blue curl of her own hair before blinking. "Oh, um yes, the winter." She paused.
"W...why do you like winter?" Wow conversation was so hard. She was terrible with it. Why did Fritz still bother talking to her?

“Well…” Lavender was thoughtful for a moment and finally grinned. “Well. I guess it’s because winter is really just a promise. It’s desolation and death and silence, yeah…but if it wasn’t for winter…we wouldn’t have the water that’s needed for spring to come…and the world wouldn’t have its long rest and it just…Winter is just awesome. It’s death and rebirth and…I don’t know. It’s just so pretty. So pretty.”
Her eyes stayed locked on the girl’s curls and she just couldn’t look away from the boinging strands of hair. “Oh, I’m Lavender, by the way. Isn’t this dumb? We’re actually having a conversation about the weather…how…typical.” It was so…normal, so boring so…unlike everything she tried to be…but…but that’s what happened.
“What uh. What kind of drink are you going to get?” There. Subject change initiated.
