They had been seeing each other pretty regularly since the day they met and shared a bed. They had more in common than they thought, as it turns out. Today he woke up in Nao's bed. Not an entirely uncommon thing, but the fact he still had his boxers on.. that was odd. The taller of the two sat up slowly, squinting hard at the harsh morning light and smacked his lips because his mouth was dry and tasted really bad. Ugh, how much did they end up drinking? Stretching himself out, he climbed out of bed and padded to the kitchen to grab himself some water and downed the glass easily enough. Was it bad he was learning the other's place so well? Opening up the fridge, he looked in it and grabbed some eggs, ham, greens, and various other breakfast related foods. Junpei could cook, honestly. Especially omurice. If Naoki didn't like omurice there as something seriously wrong with the man. Maybe the smell would wake the other up. Junpei hadn't even brushed his hair yet. It was sticking up in random ways and curls, but honestly, he didn't care.

It was one of those fortunate nights that Naoki's brother and sister-in-law were out; there were a lot of those lately. With the baby soon on the way, though, there'd not be much in the way of privacy here soon. So they enjoyed it while they could.
Naoki, though - as Junpei had probably quickly deduced - was not a morning person. Especially not when he drank. He grumbled and groaned and swatted at the air as the light burned, even through his eyelids, tossing and turning until at last he just tugged the blanket up and over his head.
However, the scent of food wafted in... and inevitably the allure of an empty stomach won out over his need for five more minutes in bed. So begrudgingly, Naoki extricated himself from the blankets, stumbling around the room in search of his shirt and finally opting to grab Junpei's instead. It was too big for him. But big was nice. Comfortable. And it smelling like him made him a little less grumpy in spite of himself.
He didn't bother grabbing his glasses, doing his make-up, any of that yet. Self-conscious as he could be, it wasn't like Junpei hadn't seen him without it. For whatever reason he still came around, and so Naoki allowed himself to relax a little at a time. A dangerous practice, but...
Striding towards the kitchen, he paused at the doorframe, leaning wordlessly against it as he simply watching Junpei cook, a fond smile on his face. Someone making food for him... that was new. Many of the things he did were new, really.

Honestly it seemed like Junpei was just really good at guessing the days that Naoki had the house to himself. Still, he continued to cook breakfast, taking a break now and then to sip at his own cup of coffee. He hadn't heard the other get up, or even realized hew as being watched. Seemed the pierced, tattooed man wasn't very perceptive until one full cup of coffee was consumed. He took a deep breath and happened to glance over and spotted Naoki, which made him blink and do a double take. "Oh, mornin'," he said in a half sleepy voice. It was in Japanese because it took his brain a full two hours before he could even begin to process English. "Coffee is ready and breakfast is just about done." He motioned to the coffee pot with a spatula in hand and then grinned sheepishly. "Just be careful, it's hot."

It was fine that he didn't notice right away; Naoki was content to stand there and watch him do his thing, and in his own head, he made something of a game of it. Observe how long Junpei took between sips. Watch the way he handled the spatula. See the way his tattoos moved as he went. Things like that fascinated him.
That didn't mean he was disappointed when Junpei finally did spot him though, a conspiratorial smile on his face as he gave a slow nod by way of a morning greeting. Naoki finally padded into the kitchen then, settling in beside Junpei at the counter to start readying his cup of coffee - he reached out, as if on a whim, and slowly trailed his fingertips along the lines of some of those tattoos.
"I didn't know you could cook." It was a surprise to no one that in any situation he could get away with it, he simply defaulted to Japanese. This was no exception. "It smells good, " he remarked a little more quietly, pressing his lips almost chastely to the other man's shoulder.

"Very few dishes, don't get too impressed," came the sleepy reply, giving him a little grin. The lips pressed to his shoulder and Junpei sort of relaxed at that. He breathed through his nose slowly and turned, pulling the other's head up. He shifted then and pressed a kiss to the other's lips, just soft and ghosting before moving back to the food in question, looking it over. "It's just omurice." With a final flip, the omurice went out of the pan and onto a plate and he handed it to Naoki and went to the fridge to grab... well, ketchup. He had to look for it because he wasn't familiar with the other's fridge just yet. Oh well. His was already plated and cooling on the counter. He grabbed it, his coffee and put it on the table. "Dishes later." With that, the man who was all arms and legs flopped into a chair and grabbed a pair of chopsticks before cutting into it. "I added a little spicy pepper. Let me know if it's too spicy." He was worried about that. Junpei tended to like his food with a kick to it, and he knew some didn't, so he tried to balance it out.
