Tip toeing through the hallway in her quietest manner, Aurelia made her way to her parents room.
Only to loudly knock on it before promptly throwing the door open. "Mommy! Daddy! You promised to take us all out today!" Stuck in an awkward phase of too old as a teenager, but too young as an adult, the wilwarin stuck her hands on her hips. "And you guys are sleeping it all away! You promised family day!" With such a large family, most of them typically did their own things even though they saw each other every day. They still didn't really do anything as a whole big family.
So today was going to be the exception. "Come on! I already made an egg breakfast for everyone in the kitchen." She figured it a softer blow to abruptly waking both of her parents up. Food was always a good answer.OOC: XDD you wanted a start, here's the start!

Porter's eyes shot open at the abrupt knocking on the door at, what he considered to be, early morning. He cuddled closer to Pastela, in his mind trying to count how many days were left until their nest was empty. With the youngest of their litter still being a teenager the dream seemed distant. With his younger half-brother, Lannister, living with them in the beginning of their relationship, Porter and Pastela had never known a time without children. He was ready. "Alright, alright," he said, reluctantly rolling away from Pastela to the edge of their bed and stretching. "Have you woken up your brothers yet?" Breakfast even? She was her mother's daughter for sure. "Thank you, Aurelia."

Pastela was so happy: she was curled up against the warmth of her beloved, dreaming happily about rolling about in soft sand with a cloudless sky over head. She muttered softly in her sleep about a 'wittle pinky baby shell' before snuggling even more into her mate.
At the loud knocking, she made a long protesting groan as she was pulled from slumber. Her mind was still groggily working as her eyes opened and from the lighting in the room she could tell it was way too early for this. In exploded their daughter, energy gushing everywhere, and that was the end of that morning.
"I'm up, I'm up..." Pastela managed to make her mouth work as she sat up, then yawned and stretched both her arms and her wings. "Have you brushed your hair and fur? Washed behind your ears?" At the mention of breakfast, a warm and loving smile came over the angel's face. "That was so thoughtful of you, Aurelia." While she didn't love the early morning wake up, she did love her daughter.
She loved all of her brood, blood related or not, but she didn't love how crowded the house had become. Too many youngsters and not enough room to keep from tripping over one another. She would miss her kids once they'd moved out, the same way she'd missed Tourmaline when the girl had moved out. She would not be missing the early morning wake up calls though, or being out numbered by the youths.

Aurelia all but beamed as her parents dragged themselves out of slumber and rolled awake like they were drugged. Both of them HAD been sleeping, and she woke them up! Good job me! Followed by her getting the third degree in questions. She looked slightly shifty eyed as she avoided their gaze. "Uhhh...I was...just about to do that! See you in the kitchen!" Whether that was about her brothers, washing her ears, or both she didn't clarify. Instead in a blur of purple and brown she was out the door, bounding down the hallway towards her brothers bedrooms.
"Wakey wakey time to shakey!" She called while knocking on each door before vanishing into the washroom for her ears and coat.
Apparently it was for both.OOC: Sorry for the delay! Thanksgiving and whatnot smile

Once Aurelia was out of the room, Porter yawned and leaned towards Pastela, giving her a kiss. "Good morning beautiful. Do you think they'll notice if we are late to breakfast?" He gave his mate a boyish grin. He was certain Aurelia would be back in a hurry if they weren't out the door in a minute. Beyond that, his whirlwind blur of a daughter had left the door wide open. Remy stirred from his slumber, lifting his head up and immediately seeing the empty bed of his brother, Gawain. Yes, it was true that it was almost time for him to go forge his own path as well, but his brother hadn't even really said goodbye to any of them. Ever the lone wolf, he supposed. They could still have a family day without him though. His presence was just going to be noticeably absent. Remy quickly went from sluggish and sleepy to wide awake as he exited his room. "You awake, little brother?" He asked as he bounded into Sirius' room. He saw that Sirius was still in bed, so he quickly jumped in with him and gave the teen a noogie. "Hey, cut it out." Sirius called out as he attempted to straighten out his mess of hair. Not that his brother had really messed up his hair, he still had bed head after all. Remy took a strong whiff of the air. "Aurelia has breakfast ready, it smells like. You hungry?" Sirius shrugged his shoulders, he didn't have quite the same appetite as his wolfish siblings, but he was still a teenaged boy. Sirius got out of bed and stretched before the two males headed out towards the kitchen.

Pastela let a giggle escape her after kissing Porter back. Even after a house full of kids she still felt the same about him as she had when they first started courting. She draped her arms over his shoulders, an impish grin on her face with an eyebrow raised. "Oh, you think we could be late to breakfast and not receive the energetic wrath of our daughter? I don't think even barricading the door would keep her from getting in and dragging us out by our wings."
Placing a kiss on Porter's cheek, she slid away from him and went to run a brush through her hair before heading out to the kitchen.
Walking into the hall, she saw both of her sons ahead of her, and once they had all entered the kitchen she planted a kiss on each one at the temple, ignoring any attempt made by the two boys to avoid the show of affection. "Good Morning Remy, Good morning Sirius. Did you sleep well?"

Brush brush brush brush, scrub scrub scrub scrub. Aurelia hurriedly prepared herself for the morning. Which wasn't too hard to do, being as she was naturally beautiful. While she finished combing her hair she gave herself a wink in the mirror before rushing out, just in time to come behind her parents. Her violet eyes instantly fastened on her brothers, who both had bedheads.
How come she had to look presentable but they could look sleepy? Never mind, a far more important question lingered. "Where's Gawain?" Tinged with sadness and a little pout, she moved to grab the plates to dish out everyones eggs. "Family day means everyone, even quiet shut ins." She teased to cover up her disappointment. They'd grown so apart, with her blue sibling always avoiding them. She barely knew who he was anymore, despite occasionally glimpsing him in his room before he shut the door.
"Mornin Rem, mornin Si-si." She greeted the brothers that did show up as she prepared their plates.

Porter chuckled at Pastela, "fair point." He wouldn't dare to face his daughter's wrath. As soon as they were all gathered in the kitchen it was apparent who was missing and Porter was reminded of the painful loss. His face saddened and his hand went for Pastela's as he answered Aurelia's question, "Your brother left a note saying that he was leaving..." He paused and glanced at Pastela to see if there was more she wanted to add, she was better at this sort of thing. He had taken his son's sudden departure hard. He had hoped he would have been a good enough father to warrant more than a note. "Mommmmm," Remy protested, rubbing his forehead where she had planted her kiss. He was a grown male now, much too old for that sort of thing. "Morning Aurelia, what'd you make me?" He asked as he pounced behind her and peered over her shoulder. The news of his brother leaving wasn't new to him since they shared a room. "Oh, he left a note?" That bit surprised him, he tried to play it off coolly, tried not to let it get to him even though he was a bit frustrated over it. It just meant more food for him, that was how he had to look at it. Sirius smiled, loving the affection, "Good morning, mama. Good morning Aurelia. Good morning, dad." He loved having a family. He looked confused about Gawain, "why didn't you say something? Why didn't he say something?" Sirius sat down at the table, watching his parents with concern.

Pastela had known that her other son wouldn't be with them, that it would hurt for some time. Still, she wasn't prepared for the tears that sprung to her eyes when Porter made mention of the note, and her hand desperately sought his for strength. She gave his hand a tight squeeze, swallowing her pain to stay strong her her family. She could be sad later, this was a time to create happy memories with them.
"Yes, Gawain has left, and one day Porter and I will wish each of you well as you seek out your own place in this world and eventually your own families. We will always welcome you home." Taking a breath, she smiled warmly at her kids. "Now, why don't we eat the wonderful breakfast Aurelia prepared for us, and talk about what we want to do today."

The brown wolf girl froze as her father started speaking, only for her mom to continue clarification. No. That was...that was wrong. He made mother cry! "A note?! How could he be so selfish?! Of all the cowardly-" Aurelia abruptly closed her mouth with the click of teeth, cutting herself off from saying anything further. She was angry, yes. But obviously her mother was upset enough over it without her fury. "When I see him next, he's going to get a very stern talking to." She grumbled, leaving it at that.
So the wilwarin took a deep breath before playfully nudging her brother with a shoulder. "Some of my super, duper, specialty scrambled eggs of course!" With a bit of effort, her tone was chipper once more. Their mom was right, they should be focusing on family day. And if Gawain didn't want to be part of family any more, that was his loss.
Since Remy was right behind her, she handed him first place with a big smile. "Gave you an extra helping like normal, of course." Her tail gave a little wag, knowing Remy's large appetite. She then picked up Sirius' and her moms plate to slide them onto the table.

Porter nodded his head in agreement with the things that Pastela had to say, gently wiping the tears that stained her cheeks, but said no more on the matter. Instead he put his efforts into putting on a brave face. He needed to focus on the family that was still here and show them how important they all were to him. "Breakfast looks wonderful sweetie. Did you have anything specific in mind for today or should we popcorn suggestions around the breakfast table?" Remy nodded his head sharply, a stern talking to and a not-so-playful bite on the ear. "Awesome," he enthused over his large serving of food. "You're not too bad for a sister," he said with a wink as he pranced over to the table to take his seat.

Pastela leaned in a little to Porter's hand as he wiped away her tears. "Thank you, love." She took a deep breath, then smiled lovingly back to her children. While she didn't like that they were all still upset over the absence of their brother, she didn't want to reopen the closed matter.
As a plate of eggs was passed to her, she smiled to her daughter. "Thank you, honey. These look amazing." She waited until everyone was back to the table before she took her first bites of breakfast. "I was thinking, if we don't want to leave the house area, there is plenty to do in the garden and area around the house. I even have new seeds to plant if we feel like replanting in the vegetable garden. I know the old crop needs to go, and it'll be a lot of work, but it would be fun to do it together as a family."

She gave Remy a bit of a smirk at the 'high praise' before sitting down herself. "You're all welcome!" Her tail wagged slightly at all the gratitude, perking her mood up. "Hmmm." The female took a bite of food, considering the idea of gardening. It might sound fun for her and mom, but maybe not so much for the boys. Remy especially liked a lot of movement and keeping active. "It's cold right now. Maybe we can go ice sliding?" Put on some warm shoes and slide around on a frozen pond. Maybe bump into a dreamy boy who would end up being the love of her life.
How romantic that would be!

Porter smiled delightfully at Pastela's idea. He loved working on the garden with her, it always brought back such fond memories of their growing friendship. Working on the garden with his family was truly a labor of love.
Remy tried to hide the look of disgust at his mother's suggestion. Gardening was really not his thing. Ah, his sister knew him so well. It almost made him feel bad for teasing her so much when they were little. However, she had definitely deserved it back then, so he only felt guilty for a little bit. "I think Aurelia has the right idea. We can garden any ol time, but how often can we go ice sliding?" Remy was up and bounding back to the food for another helping. "Anyone else going to want more, otherwise I'll finish it up."
Sirius was ever the agreeable one of the family. "That sounds like a good idea mama. Your idea sounds good too Aurelia. I'm sure whichever one you decide will be good." He would truly be happy as long as his family was happy.
Someone needed to make the executive decision, and it wasn't going to be Porter. Choose between his mate and his only daughter? No thank you. However, he also knew there probably wasn't anywhere to go ice sliding yet. "Sorry kids, I don't think it's cold enough for ice sliding." He couldn't blame them for not knowing, they were quite young the last time the weather had changed. It was cold, but not that cold.

Pastela had always tried to instill a sense of respect and understanding on where their food came from: that food didn't just appear to be prepared and ready to eat, instead taking time to come to maturity and to be collected or hunted. Unfortunately, it seemed none of those present really shared her passion of gardening, save for her wonderful and beloved mate.
Although she wouldn't have minded sledding, Pastela wondered if it was going to even be cold enough this season for snow to stick and for water to freeze solid enough to hold their weight.
"Remy, dear, do you have any suggestions? I know gardening isn't really something you do outside of chores. How about you, Sirus? Surly both of you must have something you want to do!"
