Sanidine didn't have a set routine; sometimes he stayed in the areas he was familiar with, and sometimes he wandered places he hadn't yet ventured. Tonight was one of those nights where he was sticking close to home—or, rather, work.
He didn't really consider it patrolling—to be honest, he was looking for trouble. And he found it in the form of a lieutenant perched atop the roofs a little too near the bar for comfort. Not that he particularly cared for the fate of the bar, but it would have been inconveinent if he lost his job because someone decided to start a fight there or something.
Anyway, he hadn't met up with too many other Negaverse Agents, so it was sort of a welcome change.
He was still playing with this whole teleportation thing, but he could see where he wanted to be from a few rooftops away and teleported in on top of her. And then he realized she had food and cocked a brow.
"…Are you eating on the job?"

Cavansite was halfway through gnawing the bone from one of the chicken wings when suddenly bam there was another Negaverse agent right there. Not only was he right there, he had the gall to interrupt her meal and accuse her of eating on the job…which she was doing but…she had worked hard for this meal.
After she swallowed the bite she had she shrugged, pulling the bottle of liquor from the bag. “I’m not just eating, thank you very much. I’m drinking on the job as well. But I’m not just slacking off, you see. I pulled some little chef kid’s starseed and made him into my personal chef, so…I earned this food, clearly. Want one?”
She held out the box of wings and the bottle of alcohol. “I’m more than willing to share, just not the sundae. That’s mine.”

Sanidine debated for a moment before he shrugged and reached down to nab one of the wings. "I don't really care what you're doing," he said offhandedly. "I just saw you over here and figured it would kill more time to have a conversation than to just roofhop."
He was careful not to get any of the sauce on his uniform, but there was something immediately familiar with the smell of the sauce. Something which settled as soon as he bit in. "Mm," he said, nodding approvingly. "Good wings. No doubt from that bar down there," he said, nodding to the one he recognized.
"…I trust you returned the starseed when you were done, right?" he prompted, taking another bite from the other side of the wing.

“It is from that bar down there, yeah. You go there often?” Cavansite started on her sundae, plucking one of the cherries off, eating it while she looked up at Sanidine. Was is her imagination, or did he almost seem worried about the dumb cooks’ starseed?
“I mean, yeah. I returned it this time, but one of these days if he stops putting out the food, I’ll keep it for real, I think.” She took a spoonful of ice cream and shrugged. “How many have you taken? Have you eaten any starseeds yet? I’ve heard that that’s the whole point of them or something. I haven’t eaten one yet, but I’ve pulled one and completely traumatized a poor little senshi, so that was kind of cool.”
This guy was more powerful than her so…she kind of wanted to show off. It wasn’t that she hadn’t been trying to meet other agents…she just…would rather spend the time with Painite, so…that was all. “I’m Cavansite, by the way. It’s nice to meet you.”

Sanidine laughed, somewhat bemused and somewhat annoyed; he personally enjoyed how much fun it was to pick on Evan, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit overprotective of the guy. He had spent quite a bit of time giving him as much hell as he spared him from. "Sanidine," he introduced. "I haven't eaten one. Seems sort of gross, you know? Like pulling out a kidney. Just nasty." He curled his lip a bit and then shrugged. "But to each his own. No offense, if that's your cup of tea."
It wasn't so delicate in changing subject to something of a bit more immediate interest to him. "You know, I don't mind if you harass the little chef, but do me a favor and don't kill him."
He crossed his arms and debated on what more he should tell her, but it would be very inconvenient if his private chef and loving servant suddenly kicked the bucket. "Just give me a call and I'll come take care of it. He and I have an arrangement and I would be ever so disappointed to see our relationship end before I chose. Besides. He's an absolute coward. He'll give you everything you want. He's been that way for years and I really don't see that changing any time soon. But I rather like him the way he is and I'd hate to have to go find a new one. Ones like him, well." He shrugged. "They're hard to come by."

Cavansite snorted, rubbing at her nose as some whipped cream decided to make its way up it. “I mean, I’ve never thought of it being like eating a kidney, but I’m going to try it the next chance I get, I feel like everyone should try it at least once. Isn’t that sort of like…a rite of passage. I don’t know. I’m pretty excited to pull a starseed from someone who isn’t just a civilian…I want to relish in the fact that I caused the absolute destruction of a senshi or a stupid sparkling knight, you know. Since that’s the overall goal, isn’t it?”
She drew up another chicken wing and shrugged.
“Have you at least pulled one? They’re quite pretty, your little boy toy has a lovely little one. You should see it sometime.”
The fact that this captain already had claim over the little cook made her quite annoyed…but…that didn’t mean she was going to stop. “I won’t kill him, but I’m not going to stop messing with him. The food’s good and I like the perks that I’ve just found out comes with it, so.” The lieutenant shrugged again.
“I’m willing to share my spoils though, if you wanted to help me pick on the kid. It was really fun watching him try not to cry.”

Sanidine just laughed and shook his head. "If you think it's fun watching him try not to cry, you should see how much fun it is to make him cry." He finished gnawing on his wing and tossed it over his shoulder behind him before licking his fingers clean and wiping them off on his jacket.
"So go ahead, do what you want, shy of kill him. I mean, now you've got me wondering. I'll have to see his starseed sometime." He considered it for a bit and took a more relaxed posture. "To be honest, I haven't had as much fun with them yet. Sort of just been picking fights with people. I like to know where my hard work is going, so to just pluck starseeds and hand them over makes me wonder how many they've got and what they're doing with them. You'd think for all the work we've got going we'd see a little more from them."
It wasn't as if it was some great conspiracy theory, but Sanidine felt more attached to his own agenda than he did the Negaverse's. It was easiest to focus on what he wanted.
And now he wanted to play with starseeds, so he would.
"What are you thinking, picking on my sweet little chef? What spoils can you get out of him that I can't?" he asked after a second, lazy grin already plastered on his face. He reached down and helped himself to another wing.

“Oh, I didn’t collect mine for the Negaverse as a whole. I did it for someone special, that’s all. I wanted to prove myself and I figured that was the best way. And boy was I ever right about that.”
Cavanasite stood up and stretched, giving a fantastic yawn. “Well. Thanks for the chat, Sanidine. I won’t kill your cook, and if you and I see each other again, I’ll be sure to tell you all my juicy stories of how I made the poor thing cry.” The lieutenant left her box of wings on the rooftop as well as the empty sundae cup, though she scooped up the bottle of alcohol.
“I think I’m going to head out though. There’s a few wings left in there if you want ‘em.” She gave a little wave and grinned. “Now, on that same vein, don’t you kill him too okay? I like the idea of getting free food from him whenever I want to. Later.”
Cavansite gave one last grin and hopped off of the rooftop, heading home. Tonight had been interesting…and she was eager to see what would happen next with the little cook and his nega buddy. Interesting indeed.

Sanidine watched as the girl left, smirk still clinging to his lips. She was interesting, and he didn't deny the thrill of the rush he'd had while talking, but he didn't move until she was out of side. When he was certain she was gone, his eyes narrowed and he glanced down to the bar she had come from. He didn't need her leftovers; he could just head down and get his own. So he did.
Collecting her trash, he leapt from atop the building and powered down before stalking over to the bar. He could hear raucous laughter from inside, easily identifiable as one of their more frequent patrons. He threw away her wings and sundae, wiped his hands off on his jacket and meandered to the kitchen door. He stuck to the alley to avoid the commotion inside. The door was locked now, but he pulled out his keys, unlocked the door quietly, and slipped into check on Evan.
And get some fresh wings.
