THANK YOU MELS, NOT BIRDIE FOR THE PICCU AAAAHH I AM THE BIGGEST DUMB GOMEN
Taking Place during the Harvest Moon Jubilee!
A strange event has transpired: after a troll succeeded in finding a button in the haystack, and earning 5 whole tickets for his endeavors, it seemed a pile of hay decided to take its revenge! Yes, a pile of hay came to life! It bumped into Amonee, and proceeded to make off with all of his hard earnings!
Somebody stop that hay! There's a monster on the loose!
This thread is dedicated to the locating, hunting, and finding of one "Hay Monster" that stole another troll's stuff. Does your troll want to investigate said monster's existence? Do they too have their items taken? Or perhaps does your troll think this is where the needle is actually hiding?
You can volunteer to have your charrie's items "Taken" too, when the "monsters" run into them. All items will/should be returned by the end of the thread! Its simply for the sake of some fun biggrin
The poor monster in reality is one Mahmud Seshat, covered in mud from snoutbeast wrastlin, and then hay. He's very upset by this endevor, and does not understand why people are chasing him

Treide didn't grasp what was happening, but she knew something was going down by the haystack. Trekking over, she looked around for anyone who might be able to inform her what in the world was happening.

Treide has a satchel filled with things that may be stolen~
The day had been going so well, he'd even managed to get a second button! But everything changed when the haystack attacked back.
"Wait! How is this possible?! S-stop!" Something had collided with Amonee and he could see his tickets and buttons had been accidentally flung into the mass of hay running away. Distraught at the loss, he shouted desperately after it as he ran. But it was to no avail, the haystack did not stop.
An redblood girl with goggles passed by the scene and he came to a stop in front of her. She didn't seem to be with anyone, maybe she had some free time to join him. Grabbing Treide's hands he pleaded-
"Please help- that haystack stole my tickets!" It sounded incredibly stupid but Amonee didn't care. Big upset eyes looked into hers and he prayed that she'd be willing to aid him!

"Amonee! What's shaking?" Nucleo had been wandering around the festival looking for anyone he might know to share some mooncakes with. The sight of the toga caught his eye and he brightened calling out to his friend. The boy didn't appear to have heard him and looked distressed for some reason. Confused, Nucleo ventured over to hear the shout of something quite extraordinary!
"What?! How? That's amazing!" Impressed, the greenblood turned to get a look at this sentient haystack. Then he realized Amonee had not meant it as a 'look at this guys' but rather 'help get my stuff back!' Oops.
"I'll help! Let's make it five against one!" How the hell did this kid think counting worked? Then a moment later, three Nucleos stood where one had been before. They nodded to each other and then dashed down the path after the wild haystack!

Lavender Hues, I accidentally quoted you instead of Yama here! So sorry! My bad!
"A... Haystack?" Treide blinked at the desperation and the explanation. Poor Amonee was quite frightened and honestly, the redblood really couldn't blame him. A giant, roving, sentient haystack had stolen tickets and was fleeing the scene. "Of course, I'll help." It sounded like a fun adventure! Grinning, the girl tugged her goggles on and gave him a firm nod.
Someone else approached, and.... Treide could only gape. One person became three. "H-How did he do that?!" It seemed incredible. Was this a feat of strength or magic unbeknownst to herself? How did one suddenly morph into multiple copies, "Dang, that's pretty cool.
"Okay, I'm helping too. My name is Treide, by the by."

Five against one? Wait, WHAT?
At that moment the haystack was standing still in the middle of the ground, apparently trying to catch its... erm... breath? Can Haystacks even catch their breath? Apparently they could hear, because at the mention of "five against one", the haystack started to shake violently. Hopefully they didn't mean him...
There was a familiar voice in the background, though he couldn't make out quite who... where was his lusus when he needed her?
Then... oh god. OH GOD WERE THOSE FOOTSTEPS? Were they running after him?! Why would they chase after him?
With a terrified little shriek, the little haystack bounced up and then started making a mad dash down the aisle, bumping and crashing into random trolls, getting items caught in him along the way. Tickets here, mooncakes there, the sharp spiny haypieces caught anything!
"No no no no no no NO NO NO!"
Despite all the haystack's clumsy stumbling, it seemed to be making a beeline towards its haystack family.
He was overjoyed when the redblood girl tugged her goggles on and flashed him a grin. She was going to help! Nucleo accepted the challenge as well before sending his clones after this mysterious lost haystack. Running to try and keep up with it, Amonee tried to fill Treide in on their names as well. She'd given her's after all, it would only be polite.
"I'm Amonee and he's Nucleo! He is pretty cool, isn't he?" The jadeblood smiled with total sincerity. The other greenblood was one of his treasured friends and no matter how many times he'd seen it before, Amonee was always amazed by the cloning power. It was like nothing he could ever dream of!
"It's talking! How can it do that?" As the parade of five raced after the wobbly haystack, it began to smack into other things while shrieking. Thankfully the chasers were all fairly active and managed to keep Mahmud within sight as they ducked around various booths and stands throughout the festival.
"Somehow we have to catch it. I'm going to look for a rope!" Just running wasn't getting them very far so it was time to break out the tools! Amonee ducked into the snoutbeast wrestling area momentarily and rummaged through an angry farmer's things. No, he was going to bring it back, he promised!
"Do either of you know how to tie a lasso?" Now that he had it, Amonee had no idea how to use it! Thankfully Nucleo seemed to know all sorts of strange skills and this Treide girl had an adventurous aura to her that was bound to have some tricks up her sleeve...

"Awesome, we'll definitely catch it!" Nucleo grinned when Treide agreed to help. She seemed fast especially with those cool goggles. Excited, the greenblood and his clones dashed alongside their allies and tried to coordinate a plan. As Amonee brought over a rope and requested a lasso, Nucleo bit his lip. It wasn't that he didn't know how a lasso worked in theory but that he'd never attempted to make one himself. This would be interesting. Or perhaps Treide had some experience!
"It's on my to-learn list..." The boy laughed sheepishly. "I'll try to corner it while you guys figure one out!" Nodding to his clones, the three greenbloods sped up and seemed to split into a formation of sorts. He'd leave the brain work to Amonee and Treide while he did what he could! One clone split off to the right and the other to the left, weaving through the crowd to surprise the haystack. It was a bit weird that it could talk, Nucleo noted.
"Take this!" The left clone rounded the mooncakes table and snatched a few of the undercooked ones that looked destined for the trash. He hurled the mooncakes at the ground in front of the haystack, hoping to trip the thing or even cause the hay to stick to the ground. He wasn't really sure what they were working with her but something was bound to happen! The remaining Nucleos continued to give chase.
