 It was starting to get dark, it was the perfect time for Kobe to work on something he had been practicing in secret for months.... His howl. The little Grimm wanted a mighty howl to impress his idol, Keegan. So whenever he could, he'd adventure off and practice.
Tonight was a perfect night, not too cold but just right. He had his little snow hat on with his sweater as he made it to his usual location. With a big grin, he cleared his throat and let out a pretty decent howl. Pleased with himself, he let out another one then laughed to himself. This was always pretty fun for him, he just wished he wasn't so embarrassed so he didn't have to go alone.

 Faolan was just laying in bed when he heard a strange sound. He perked up his ears, trying to find out what it was. Was that howling? Is that another grimm? he wondered.
It was killing him, he had to know if it were another grimm howling. He got up from his bed and went over where the sound was coming from.
He looked around and saw a grimm, a freshling just like him. He got excited. Another grimm, he must of made the howling sound he thought.
Faolan walked over towards the grimm, beaming from ear to ear. "Hello! I heard your howling and I had to come see if it was another grimm like me. " he said while twiddling his claws.

Kobe was just about to howl again when he heard something. He was too busy to have smelt the other, let alone hear him over his ruckus. So, startled he was. He tripped over his foot as he backed up, falling to the ground. "Ah!" He exclaimed, looking to see who stalked him to his private howling practice.
His face reddened when he noticed it was another Grimm. He picked himself up, rubbing his neck with a sheepish grin. "Oh! Yeah.. Sorry. I'm sure you were trying to sleep." He apologized then smiled brightly, "I am a Grimm like you! There are a lot of us here." He told Faolan, "are you new?" He asked, noticing the other was a bit shorter than him and maybe a bit younger as well.
"I'm Kobe! Nice to meet you." He greeted as his tail swished back and forth excitedly. Normally he would have been more shy but after the other grimms showed up that one day... He felt a little more confident.

Faolan gasped. He seemed worried the other grimm hurt himself. Once he got himself up, Faolan sighed with relief
"Oh, not at all. I just like laying in bed, thinking pretty much." he said wagging his tail from excitement. Another grimm! And he's so friendly he thought. "That's so great. I haven't really talked to other grimms yet. I've been alone ever since I've been awakened." he said.
New? I guess he's never seen me before. Understandable, I was pretty anti social my first few years here as a freshling he thought.
"I'm not so new, I've just been walking around. I like staying in my room sometimes. That's probably why you haven't seen me much. "
He smiled. "Kobe is a nice name and it's nice to meet you too."

Kobe nodded with a wide toothy grin, "What did ya say your name was?" He asked curious as his ear flicked a bit. "Not new? Hmm... Well there are lots of grimms here! Especially after the tribe grimm and nixie's arrived!" He said with excitement. "So no need to be alone now! Besides, I can be your friend." He nodded to himself before nodding to the other. He laughed a bit and stretched, "This is my last year as a little freshling! Soon I will be in my Junior year!" He told the other, "But we can still be friends! Do you know how to howl? Do you have a pack?" He asked quickly before covering his mouth as if to stop myself from overloading the other. He laughed a bit, rubbing his neck with a sheepish grin. "Sorry, I'm pretty excitable."

Faolan smiled. "It's Faolan." he said. He then tilted his head at Kobe. Seems he wasn't paying attention to the school's news. But it made a little bit of sense since he saw a few strange nightmares walking around.
His eyes widen. He want's Faolan to be his friend? Faolan couldn't hold in his excitement. "You want to be my friend? Really? This is so awesome!" he said, trying to keep his voice down. An older friend was just what he needs.
He gathered himself and calmed down. He looked back at Kobe, and nodded. "I howl a bit. Its still scratchy but I'm getting the hang of it. And yeah, I do have a pack. My mommy's pack. She's the best leader ever!"
