PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
Hania felt happy that he had been able to visit his mate more often lately, but now he was feeling the sadness of being unable to see most of his friends from when he first ventured out of his secluded home. Celendria, especially--how long had it been since he had last seen his Maiden of Ice? That was Celendria's official nickname from him, and he wouldn't like it if any other called her that, besides her mate, that is.

He wondered how she was doing. He hadn't ever met Euphoria but briefly, and that was just an exchange of "hellos" and "byes" and the conversation was much shorter. Celendria was probably more open now, but he was sure she was still beautiful. Mahiri would kill him if he told her that he thought about other mares, but he knew that his mate knew he loved her dearly, and that Celendria was just a very, very good friend of his; a sister that he missed dearly.

Rein_Carnation
The ice mare traveled along in her own thoughts, an occasional gaze toward the sky. A murmer in the wind causing her to listen closely for those haunting wingbeats. She smirked in spite of herself knowing full well Euphoria would come to see her again. Like water that's meets the blazing shoreline of sand, they be together once more.

She turned slightly gazing outward as she noticed a reflection of the past. A flutter of the heart in good spirits spoke his name as it lifted from her tongue to be heard out loud." Hania! Well hasn't it been a long time." she whickered with a deep soft smile. Flicking her tail she waited to hear his reply. It was so nice to recall the past sometimes as it materialized right in front of you.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
Hania's ears perked up as he heard a very welcome and very familiar voice. Turning, he whinnied with delight. "Celendria! Long time indeed! How've you been, my dear?" Hania smiled as he walked over to her. "It has been so long."

Hania could tell that their time away from each other hadn't done a thing to her; she looked the same as when he had last seen her. It was breathtaking to see that an old friend of his hadn't changed much. He hoped her mate wouldn't fly by anytime too soon; he didn't particularly want to explain things.

She stood quiet listening to the stallion that once made her heart flutter with whimsical memories. Her silken cascade of mane and tail glistening like sheets of ice.

"To travel is to find one's destiny dear Hania. Let known I've been dreading the approaching summer as its hot days make me feel as if I'd melt in its wrath. Yes I know its silly but I am an ice Soquili and feel the cold as she sings her sweet melody from the higher mountains. My sons have gone off on their own as has Euphoria for a bit, she smiled back at him with cyan orbs of contentment.

Thinking for a moment she shook herself to relieve an ache in her withers from head to tail. She then spoke softly as her gaze never left his.

"And you dearest Hania.. How are you this year? I've heard you have wonderful children and Mahari? Is she doing well?" she queried trying to recapture old times that had slid away like the previous winter bowing backwards for the spring to pass on.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
"You've changed slightly since last we met," Hania said, keeping eye contact and smiling. Celendria made his heart flutter with her beauty, still, but not with the love he had once held for her. They had both moved on, but thank goodness they were still friends.

He'd have hated it if they weren't friends any longer. "Yes. All three of mine are very wonderful, though the two oldest are quite difficult these days... My eldest would have loved to meet your mate. She's obsessed with the winged ones."

He knew that as the summer drew on, Celendria would probably seclude herself to somewhere where it wasn't so... hot. He himself had been born in winter, though he preferred spring. He didn't much like the summer himself, though he did love its nights, where one could see the millions of stars and the bright, pale moon.

"I'm doing better than I ever could this year, my Snow Maiden," he said, calling her by her nickname, one that he'd given her. "Mahiri is doing quite well; she's still as playful as ever." He liked this. Old times and old memories began to fill him again as he admired Celendria once more. She herself hadn't changed much, but he knew they both had changed quite a bit. Still, that wouldn't mar (sp?) their friendship.

Summer. An intensity to melt one of heart so brave yet so meek. Days spoke of the heat as it mustered its fierceness to make any creature seek sanctuary from it. Though a meer nonchalance in perception Celendria felt the arrival more bitter than winter's cold embrace.

They say summer draws out forever it seems. Days on end of heat and miserable knowledge. The flies drenched in black swam in droves upon the water eager to feast upon one of the living. She shuddered at the thought as her tail swept them away so casually.

"Mahiri was the best thing that ever happened to the Hania I once knew. You've become quite the family individual now. It fits you well." she spoke softly as her cyan eyes shimmered from beneath the wall of glistening white falling into her forelock.

"I am glad all is well. I will once again find Euphoria as his wings touch upon the cyan blue ocean he flies within. I only hope that he never loses sight of where I stand. Fear lies deep in a mare's heart where her love dwells in the open skies."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
"Does it? I'm glad it does--it fits you as well, too," Hania said, smiling gently. "So it seems... I hope you see Euphoria again soon. It would do well for the both of you."

He glanced up to notice the sun was at its highest peak, the hottest part of the summer days. "This way, my Snow Maiden. I know you hate the heat."

He led her to where he figured it would be cooler, and easier on the mare. "So many things... what do you do on days where there's nothing to do?"

Rein_Carnation
She walked alongside him silver white silken tail flicking back and forth. Limber built head bobbed in her stride as she listened to his words. One that made her eternal heart of ice once melt at his very sight. Looking back Hania though was more of a brother it seemed now more than ever. Ready to defend the maiden who walked in the thick snows.

The sun was beating like a hot coal upon her back and neck. Shivers ran to a fro as her withers shook from the chills she received.

"Yes. A cooler spot would be more pleasent." she nodded with a smile.

Her mind traveled on his question of days with no meaning or reason. Basically in a sense of nothing to do. Her words came to her slowly as she walked onward though her thoughts moved faster before each reached one another.

"Sometimes a run is quite nice, or even soaking in the stream or rivers. Then there are other times when simply conversing with others brings much joy."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
He smiled; he was very protective of his adopted sisters--Settia, Alona, Celendria... and many more if he could think of them, but he currently focused on bringing Celendria to the coolest place he could think of--the ice cold spring, covered by the tallest and leafiest trees. "Here we are," he said, moving aside to let her view the area.

It was very cool and shaded, and Hania almost shivered with the coolness of it. "I hope this suits you. You could come here at any time if the summer's sun is being unpleasant." As he listened to her answer for his question, he found himself agreeing. "Ah... Yes. I usually seek out my adopted family members--like you, Celendria--and sometimes I run... or even soak. It's nice to hear I'm not the only one who does so," he chuckled, walking over to the spring, and drinking up a mouthful. How cold it was; like ice. This area definitely suited Celendria.

The heat was sweltering that made her coat glisten in perspiration. Frozen blue trailing ice streaks that looked gorgeous in a distance. Shimmering like an icecube but on the inside loathing the summer and calling for spring. The coolness brushing her legs and muzzle.

Looking ahead the place of chosen attributes seemed as if she had stepped into another world entirely. Cool mists edged off the lucid waters spraying lightly on her fetlocks and knees. Stepping forward she deliberately inched in the ice cold pool that nipped at her but seemed not a bit of annoyance. Her withers shivered but of how wonderful it felt caressing her lithe and tired form.

She turned back to look at him bending downwards for her own cool drink that was quite satisfying as it poured slowly into her throat. When content she smiled at him with eyes soft as her expression.

"Indeed dearest Hania you remember well. Someday Euphoria must meet you and Mahri. " she nickered blinking. "Ah for that matter when will I meet your beautiful mate and children?"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
It had been by luck he found this place, that time long ago--actually, he had been looking for Aruna, the daughter he lived with. She had been the one to find this place, and had said it was a very nice place to be during extremely hot summer days.

He was glad she seemed better than she had before. He smiled, watching her dip herself into the freezing water. Only Celendria could do that and appreciate the cold temperature. He knew not of any other soquili who was so willing and able to stand it.

"Yes, someday I will meet Euphoria..." he agreed, whinnying. He smiled at her. "You'll meet them all someday. I'm sure my daughters would love to meet you--the stories I've told them have had them curious for all time." He chuckled.

Rein_Carnation
She turned her elegant neck watching him thoughtfully as the iciness nipped at her fetlocks and ankles. "Knowing someone that remembers you in their heart is treasure worth waited for" she smiled with softness sitting in her soft cyan ice ices.

She breathed softly letting the coldness float about her like a shield from the sultry summer that lingered outside this haven. So nice it was that she almost forgot the reason she loathed the heat of summer.

"I'd love to meet them all. My sons are out on their own but perhaps by a turn of the seasons you may just find one. Safi though is much more mannered than Kohana I'm afraid." she sighed once more as her breath seemed to form in white wisps as they traveled lightly back into the air once more.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
"My own son is well-mannered; he reminds me of me, sometimes," Hania said, taking in her words. "Safi, you say? I think my eldest, Aruna, met him..." The name rung a bell, but he couldn't place it.

"I want them to meet you," Hania said, grinning, though he shook a bit. He decided he'd walk around a bit to warm up his shivering body. Celendria might love the cold, but he himself preferred spring--a nice season of the year, surely.

"Kohana?" Hania questioned. He'd heard of Safi more than a few times from Aruna (when he got her to talk, that is--she would blabber on and on about all these different males she met and then he was forced to stop her... hm...) "I see. Does it worry you?"

Rein_Carnation
She looked at her reflection as the water lapped against her ice blue legs feeling quite nicely. "Kohana took off one day and hasn't returned since. Though it's silly I worry about him with his feisty look toward things."

She looked toward him noticing the chill was a bit intimidating pulling her own self out as to not act selfishly in absorbing the cold like she was doing.
She smiled shaking her head as her mane brushed the water spraying it lightly about her shimmering coat.

"Time has moved so quickly hasn't it Hania. Look at us both parents now with our own families. Soon fall will follow as will winter then it shall repeat all over once again." she spoke in a soft yet distant toone thinking back on everything she'd seen and remembered.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
"I'm sorry to hear that..." He shook his mane so that it flipped to the other side of his neck. "It's not silly you worry. You're a mother. Of course, in my own family, it is I who worries, as Mahiri is the playful and caring mother, but she does not stress.

"Yes, time has moved so quickly... the seasons sneak by us, sometimes, without us noticing, and then... perhaps we both will be grandparents. Hard to believe, truly. I don't like the thought of being old." He chuckled. He couldn't wait to have grandkids.

The cold began to strangely bother the ice mare to the point that the grazing fields scattered in emerald rows seemed more of an interest.

"Come Hania. I think a walk is in order for olde times reminisced are they not?" she asked with her soft blue orbs followed by that serene smile. Her legs were in fact becoming stiff and intolerable.

She tossed her head letting the silken white mane cascade down her shoulders like pure snow blanketing a mountain side. "I wonder if my children will ever have any of their own. As seasons past so do our lives."
Almost lyrical with a sense of tranquil atmosphere she walked toward the summer hungrily lapping up all the coolness in the air.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
He smiled at his old friend, internally glad and happy to see she was well. She was just as beautiful as when he'd first met her, and he certainly felt that it was his duty to protect her and keep an eye on her even though he well knew she could take care of herself. Celendria wasn't with her mate at the moment, and as her friend, Hania felt obligated as well as wanted to protect her if any danger appeared.

"A walk is most certainly an excellent idea!" he exclaimed in true exuberance (sp?). His kind, gentle brown eyes met the mare's eyes as he felt eager for movement. He wasn't used to standing still unless he was eating. "I hope your children do; the wonder of being a grandparent is such an interesting feeling," he commented. Seasons came and went, but he doubted the mares he knew from seasons past would ever age. They would all stay beautiful in his mind, and he most certainly agreed that these peaceful times could last longer.

Though the summer was still dawning slowly, the leaves from whence they past were turning brightly colored. Giving way to fall then to winter which spoke so calmly to her. A calm in the midsts of a storm beating down in its intensity. This she felt with much confidence walking slowly by one that had once held her heart deeply. But as time grows so does one's wisdom, forming a new flower blossoming toward love.

She mused aloud things to him of times when both were young to the world. Things that young adults gazed upon and remembered long after they occurred. Thoughts traveling backwards of seeing Dyami, Mentha, Settia, and of course Hania. Now two winters had passed moving onward to three. Perhaps she would ask for a reunion with them all once more. A joyous free herd of those that had walked from the holidays as the wind horse himself.

"And I wish my children well with their future blood. Someday I'll look forward to a daughter of my own, but for now Samedi and Glory have found their own paths in life with mates and families." She paused then in her thoughts, "Have you seen any of the others from that first meeting Hania?"

She looked into those brown orbs seeing an old friend, but yet as warm as they were, Hania never seemed to age as long as youth played within his soul and feelings. He may of had children of his own but yet still he was the same soquili she'd met from her descent from the mountains.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki-
It was nice to take a walk with Celendria again, especially since both of them had emerged with the snow season. He mused to himself quietly... Well, he had gotten separated from his two-legger, but most of his childhood memories were vague... he had always been a free stallion, anyway. He glanced at the still beautiful as ever ice mare as he walked a leisurely pace by her side.

So long ago, when he was 'young', when many of them were 'young'. Actually, he figured he was still pretty much so--young, that is. Celendria's voice drifted into his mind gently as he processed her words. "Ah!" he commented softly. "I have seen Dyami, and Settia. They are now mates," he murmured. "They've been mates for a while, but I'm not sure if you knew that, or not. It has been a long time since I have last seen Mentha, truthfully."

It really had. The last he had seen of the mare was when he first stepped into this world, and he had introduced himself. He had abandoned his uneasiness with other stallions (where he felt he always had to prove he was the best) and had quickly moved on to a more jovial, laid-back stallion. He had been amused to hear that Aruna's oldest son, Shizuka Tsuyoi, was similar to him, if just more active and forward. His youngest, Toquah'kan, seemed to have a bi-polar atmosphere...

Ah, no matter. He smiled gently as he met eyes with Celendria. "I'm glad you've seen no horror in your life, Celendria." He drifted away for a moment. "I hope you meet our other old friends someday. It would be a pity if we did not see each other again for a long while..." His soft, kind brown eyes glazed over as he fell back into his memories once more. He especially remembered the times he spent with Mahiri and Celendria, two of the most important mares in his life. He smiled softly.

Rein_Carnation
Celendria was one with the mountains, snow and all the ice that her coat mimicked on those wintry days where foals frolicked and played. A simple whisper, a touch of cold that gave her assurance in this not so strange land anymore.

So the serene mare's life had begun with a bit of courage to speak to a golden stallion and a mare known as Alona. So much had passed in those simple years and Celendria was quite proud that she experienced it all. True she'd never encountered anything evil, but deep down inside she knew as a new elder that time would come. Then her true strength and willpower would be tested against uncertain odds. Whatever the case, the ice mare would prove her maturity and take care of the situation.

"You know what I desire Hania? I'd like to see a reunion of all we knew and met back in that fateful year. Dyami, Settia, Mentha, Celona... Oh so many more that my mind races to find and keep safe." She mused a moment remembering the winter as her own brother as it lied upon the ground. Soon the world would be white again and she would rejoice with a harmonious whinny in return. Oh the thought of it made her purr deeply in her finely built chest.

Pausing with realization that she'd overstepped his own words she reversed to take in what he had murmured, "Dyami and Settia? Hmm yes I knew they were mated as Dyami drops by now and then to visit. His daughter Tori and my adopted daughter Glory are best friends as well." she nodded flicking a single ear toward a breeze as if slipped by them. Glory and Tori, now there was an interesting pair. Getting caught out in the latest hours and hiding in logs. Oh the memories that made Celendria feel ageless with laughter.

She did desire a reunion though and hoped Hania would help find the others. Could you simply imagine seeing everyone again? It would play out like a written novel only the faces and laughter would be more vibrant than before. Smiling her eyes rested upon him still remembering those grand days once more.
